Robi Axiata PLC has introduced eco-friendly ‘Robi Super Bikes’ for its field staff to enhance digital service delivery and promote sustainable mobility in rural Bangladesh. The electric bikes will support faster, greener and more efficient customer service across upazilas and unions nationwide.

The initiative aligns with Robi’s commitment to environmental sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Unlike traditional fuel-powered motorcycles, the electric bikes produce zero emissions, reducing carbon footprints while creating employment opportunities for field staff and fostering digital awareness in rural areas.

“The Robi Super Bikes represent a significant step forward in our efforts to promote sustainable mobility while strengthening service delivery across rural Bangladesh,” said Shihab Ahmad, Chief Commercial Officer of Robi Axiata PLC. “By empowering our field staff with eco-friendly electric bikes, we are reducing our carbon footprint and ensuring faster, more reliable customer service in remote communities.”

The Super Bikes come equipped with a convertible cargo box, Robi-branded umbrella, USB-enabled mobile and lamp charging, and an audio hand microphone for public awareness campaigns. Safety and monitoring features include face-recognition unlocking, geo-fencing and real-time movement tracking.

Robi says the initiative will help reduce emissions while boosting the company’s capacity to deliver digital services to underserved areas, marking a transformative step in improving rural connectivity and service access.
