The all-new electric GLB | The Walkaround

Attention, we start in five minutes. Five minutes? That’s more than enough time to go for a quick test drive. You’re ready? Let’s go. So you’re ready? Always, let’s go – and before you ask, our furry friend here from Mercedes-Benz, in the back, insisted on coming along and we couldn’t say no. Are you buckled up? Let’s go. Tom, they said five minutes. Okay, let’s go back. Just in time. What a ride. Okay guys, I’m ready to start. Hello everyone, I’m TGE aka Tom Exton. Today, I’m in breathtaking Austria with Mercedes-Benz and the all-new electric GLB. Ok, Tom, how would you sum up the vibe of the new GLB? It’s kind of like that mate that’s up for anything. Road trips, school runs, random mountain detours… it sort of just fits into your life. Give me a quick rundown, which one is this one? This is the all-new electric GLB, but there is a hybrid GLB version coming too. It’s available in five-seater or seven-seater configurations. Handy for when more people turn up for
your road trip than you’d planned. So, you can get both cars with 4MATIC, which comes with TERRAIN MODE,
perfect for gravel or field tracks. So, five seats or seven seats, 4MATIC or not, electric or hybrid? Let me know in the comments what your dream GLB would be? Let’s jump to the exterior design then,
because the grille on this car looks amazing. Keep the design in mind as we head over to the electric GLB because this panel here is a real show-off. You have 94 LED stars, each are animated. Coming round the side of the car then,
you’ll see how much it’s grown. It’s a bit longer, a bit more wheelbase, but the car has confidence. It got shorter overhangs, upright nose, strong shoulder line, classic Mercedes-Benz stance. Looks ready for anything. Absolutely! With the surrounding wheel-arch cladding
and visual underride protection front and rear, this thing is game on for adventure. But it’s luggage space where it excels. So come around here. Come and look at this. Boot time! You get 540 litres capacity in the five-seater and you get 480 litres capacity in the seven-seater. Guys, do we have something to prove how spacious this is? I think we’re going to need a bit more kit. See, room for everything and everyone. Even my little orange furry friend here who’s ready for some proper sledging. I told you we’ve got to finish the filming before we go sledging. Before we go on then, let me know what three things
you can’t go without when travelling. Ok, Tom, what about towing? It can tow. Up to two tons with the 4MATIC version. Caravans and trailers, no problem! And since the car is electric, you actually get a bonus space up front. 127 litres to be precise. That is absolutely huge. Look in here. Haha… Very funny. Someone knew a Brit was coming. Very good. Whilst we’re spilling tea on the GLB then, let’s take a look inside, because
there is a lot more gossip in the interior. And inside, you’ve got lots more room in here. You’ve got loads of headroom, loads of legroom, and even little details, like there’s a lot more contact space with your thigh against the seat. And those who love details would like to hear the fact, that this door cutout here is bigger. Meaning entry and exit is even easier. It’s those little details that make every single
journey more comfortable and feel a lot more spacious in here. There’s even space for your furry buddies. So what’s your highlight in here? Definitely the SKY CONTROL panoramic roof. You’ve got 158 illuminated stars above your head. It’s like your own planetarium on wheels. Not only that, but you can actually adjust
and shade different areas of the roof. Also play with the ambient lighting as well. It makes every trip feel special. We like that, don’t we? What’s your favourite part? I think the screens. Nice, the MBUX Superscreen. It’s like a mini cinema but with heated seats. And lastly two things. In the all-new electric GLB you can choose from
up to eleven ambient styles. Just with the swipe of a finger. You can go from fresh to cozy depending on how you feel. And the navigation, it’s actually based on Google Maps. Where are you from? Frankfurt. Okay. Let’s see how far… The route is being calculated. So, as you can see, that’s a six-hour-and-41
minute drive. Charging this thing is really, really fast. You get up to 260 kilometers in just 10 minutes worth of charging. And don’t forget there is up to 631 kilometers of WLTP range in this all-new electric GLB. Basically, there is no hanging around anymore. So, there you have it, the all-new electric GLB. Bold looks, big on space, and it just gets on with life. Simple as that. So that’s a wrap. Let me know what you think of the all-new electric GLB
