They still come equipped with a turbocharged DOHC 2.0-liter inline-four, but instead of mild-hybrid help, they benefit from being mated to a powerful electric motor that powers the rear wheels, an 18.8-kWh battery, an eight-speed Geartronic transmission, and eAWD.

To put things into perspective, the 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLE 450e 4MATIC has a starting price of $62,250 and is equipped with a 381-horsepower 2.0-liter inline-four mated to an electric motor.
