The 10 BEST Selling Electric Cars in Australia in November 2025

electric car sales here in Australia in the month of November. There was quite a good month. EV sales definitely bounced back here in Australia after a bit of an average month the previous month. The top 10, let’s have a a look at the top 10 most popular or at least the highest selling EVs in Australia in November. And guys, I I have to give you my two cents on this cuz I own one of them and in I own now two EVs, which is kind of exciting. But I do think I’m a little bit baffled as to why people are buying some of the EVs on this list. I don’t know if it’s necessary because of the actual qualities of those cars. I think it’s more the brand name potentially. Hello my friends, welcome to the channel. I’m Sam Evans. You’re watching the Electric Viking. Great to have you with us. The bestselling EV in Australia in November was the Tesla Model Y with 2,269 sales, which was more than double. The second place, BYOD Cline 7 with 1,040 sales. In third place was the Zika 7X with 682 sales. The Tesla Model 3 was in fourth with 433. The Julie EX5 next with 412. The Body AT2, brand new model. I believe it’s the cheapest electric SUV in Australia that had 365 deliveries. The Kia EV5 300. Build ADO3 261. The MGS5 22. Build Seal 157. MG45 and the BOD Dolphin 103. of these cars, which ones do I think make the most sense um and would be cars that I personally would consider buying if I was looking for a car in that segment? First of all, the Tesla Model Y, would I consider buying one of those? Yes, I absolutely would. Um, do I particularly like Tesla, like the parent company? You know, honestly, not really. But hey, this is not about an opinion. I’m not a I’m not making videos here to kind of put out political opinions. I’m just talking about cars and the Model Y is a great car. 2270 sales and I think all those people bought a a good car. The Zika 7X I’m going to skip the Cine 7. The Zika 7X is I own one now. I’ve had it for a few day had it for nearly a week and I’ve test driven them in other places like Adelaide on racetrack and also on gravel roads and on dirt. It’s fantastic. Both Tesla Model Y and the Zika 7X are fantastic. The Tesla Model 3. I’ve driven a few of those. I’ve driven the performance version, the non-performance version. I’ve done thousands of kilometers in them actually because in California, I drove a new Tesla Model 3 I think for like 4,000 km. It was great. Loved it. Fantastic. Gile EX5. I’ve driven one of those in China. Driven one of those in Australia. For the money, it’s much better value than the BOD 803. It’s unquestionably much better value. I think a lot of the people people who bought the build out 3 didn’t test drive the Jill EX5 cuz for the same price clearly the X5 is the better car. Uh it’s not a question. Kia’s EV5. Is that a car I’d consider? No. It has worse efficiency than I think every car on this test except for maybe the Cine. It’s got the worst efficiency of any car on this test. It has um pretty average range for the price. It’s uh doesn’t stand out in any way. charging speed isn’t particularly good either. Yeah, I think it’s really Kia brand fans that have bought the Kia EV5. And don’t get me wrong, if you bought a Kia EV5, there’s nothing wrong with that. At least you’re driving an EV. That’s the way I see it. But if you’re going to buy a new car, that is not the car to buy in this list. Uh there’s better choices. What cars are better choices right now than a Kia EV5? All right, I can give you at least five. A Tesla Model Y is a better choice. A Zika 7X is a better choice. An Xpang G6 is a better choice. Ult, honestly, you might not believe this, but the truth is a deeple SO7 is a better choice. Absolutely, it’s a better choice. Even an AON V is a better choice, right? The AON is much cheaper than the Kia. Looks very similar to a Kia actually in terms of the boxy shape of it. Uh but it’s much more affordable and it’s a better car. So, there’s five choices and all of them um are better than the Kia. Now, in terms of the other cars on this list, the Body Ato3, I mean, there’s just too many other better options at that price point. Now, the new AON that I’ve test driven, that’s better than the Ato3, hands down. Much better, has more range, faster charging speed, uh much bigger on the inside, has massage seats, has the standard level specification is much higher than the BD. It’s not really close. Then of course you got the Gile EX5 which I mentioned earlier as well. Uh then there’s other cars like Elite Motors new electric SUV which rivals the 803 that’s very compelling as well. So those are three models that I think are all better than the Ato3. The MGS5 that’s another car that I think I think is more selling on brand. MG have done a lot of spent a lot of money on advertising and marketing in Australia and the S5 is not as good. is absolutely not as good as other cars in this segment in numerous ways. I’m not going to get into those details, but you know what they are. Charging speed, range, efficiency, luxury, standard specification features that you get as standard handling efficiency. Yeah. Anyway, of all the BDS here in this list, I think the best most compelling BOD is the Body Seal. I think the Seal is actually a a pretty good car and I think they look good as well. the BOD Dolphin as well. I do think the BOD Dolphin’s cool. I saw one of those today. I see them quite often. I think the Bod Dolphins are a pretty good value hatchback. Now, the Body Cine 7, I also I I understand if you got one, it’s a nice car. It’s just not as good as other cars in this segment based on what I think are the most important metrics of car ownership. Now, I’m not basing it just on this, but on this is like my first principles of car buying. I think you want to think look at things like range, charging speed, efficiency, weight, and handling. Handling dynamics. How well does the car handle? You can also consider software. Software is pretty important as well. I think if you consider all those key those six key metrics, the Cine 7, it’s not a standout car in any of those metrics. in some of them, particularly such as weight, it’s well behind. I mean, it’s hundreds of kilograms heavier than the Tesla Model Y and the Xpang G6. So, Cine 7, if you own one, I do think they’re a good car, just not as good as other options on the market that are similar prices. [Music]
