I BUILT THE CLEANEST 3kW E-BIKE EVER..
Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel. I have not uploaded in a long time and I’m so sorry about that. There has literally been nothing to post, but yeah, I’ve been working on this for like ages. I first started by disassembling and stripping the entire frame. [Music] [Music] Hey. [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] Now, after struggling with removing my chain for quite a while, as you can see here, I ended up just uh using the best way to remove anything, which is an angle grinder. It was quite effective. [Music] It was then finally time for me to start priming my frame. Now, as I was painting, I ran into a bit of a bit of a concern. There was literally no color coming out of my paint can. Like, it was just straight silver and glitter. Uh, I was a little bit concerned at the start, but I thought it might just be the lighting of my shed. So, I just clear coated it and let it dry. Unfortunately, the next day it did not turn out to be the color I was wanted like at all. So, yeah, I emailed the place I got it from, all New Zealand. Big shout out to them. They were really helpful with it. Full refund and I just ordered another can. It turned out amazing. I could then begin assembling the bike. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] For this build, I’m using Sauron lightbe brakes and levers. And I also ordered some billet brake levers for them, which looked incredible. Big shout out to the bro Kaden who sold me these. It’s the same guy who got his bike stolen the last ride out. I’ve had a lot of people actually ask me about that. No, he did not get his bike back. Very sad, but it’s okay. He He got another one. So, yeah. [Music] I then moved on to mounting my Baja Designs headlight. What alongside the headlight was my 12vt converter and my ODI plate. The decal I got from my friend Nico. He is incredible. He will print you these decals for a very good price and they’re really good quality. So, I definitely recommend going to him if you need anything printed with vinyl. I’ll put his TikTok on the screen now. I then started putting together my pegs and foot lock. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] And then finally my cat arrived. [Music] [Music] It included this absolutely huge 3000 W rated hub motor with an MTX rim. [Music] an 80 amp square wave controller capable of pushing over 5,000 W continuous, [Music] a UKC1 display and a pre-wired Suron throttle. [Music] What the [ __ ] What is this? Oh jeez. Oh wow. [Music] Incredible. Fire up. I then got on to installing my 203 mm brake rotor. Make sure to loctite these bolts cuz if you don’t, they will come out and they will shred your motor cable and you will have to replace your entire motor which sucks. So yeah, [Music] I then taped up my rim to prevent punctures and fit it on my tire. [Music] [Music] Ah, come on. [Music] [Music] Now it’s time for my tool coms. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] I then marked out and punched some holes, drilled them out, and fitted riv nuts to mount my controller. [Music] [Music] I did a little bit more work off camera, including switching to a frame mount display, wiring up my Baja headlight, [Music] and bleeding my brakes to perfection.
