Elon Musk’s Boring Company said it is increasing construction activity in Las Vegas and moving closer to breaking ground in Nashville as it expands its underground transport network.
The privately held unit, tied to Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) chief Musk, runs a 1.7-mile system around the Las Vegas Convention Center with stations serving nearby resorts and venues. The company said construction teams are extending links toward university and hotel districts as regulators grant additional fire-safety approvals.
Work is also planned for a short connector at Harry Reid International Airport. The company said the airport route is targeted to open in the first quarter of 2026 and is designed to handle large volumes at fares below typical rideshare pricing.
In Tennessee, the firm aims to begin boring in January for a downtown-to-airport line with a late-2026 goal.
The company has signaled interest in Houston, Los Angeles and Dubai.
