5 Things You Get in Tata Harrier EV Base Model for 22 Lakhs

Hello everyone, and welcome back to a new video. I’m your friend Nikhil, and I ‘m here with another new video, another walkaround. As you can see in the title thumbnail and my background, we’re at the Tata showroom for a quick walkaround of the Harrier EV Adventure 65, its base model. Yes, because this car offers amazing value for money, making it a sensible option. And today, with so many competitors in this price range, why should you consider this car? I’ll explain it at the end of the video. Watch the full video so you don’t miss any information. If you like it, don’t be shy. Press the like button. It’ll motivate you. And if you haven’t subscribed to the channel, please join the family. Hit the subscribe button and the bell notification for all future updates. Without wasting any further time. Let’s get started. Let’s get going. So there you go, guys. First of all let me tell you that I am here at Lexus Motors Raj. To review this car, if you want to buy a Tata car and if you belong to Lexus Motors, this is the right place for you to come and get this car. Just mention my name. You will get this car at a good price, at a good offer, at a good time . Now let’s move on with the video. So this is your Tata Harrier Adventure 65 which is the base model of the Harrier EV series. Quickly let’s talk about the price of this car. So ₹21.49 lakh ex-showroom. By the time it arrives on road in Kolkata, I am giving you some approximate breakup in front of your screen. Quickly if we talk about power, guys, this is a 65 kWh battery pack which has a claimed range of 538 km. If we talk about max power, it is 25 bhp with 35 Newton meters of torque. So, in terms of power, this car won’t disappoint. However, realistically speaking, we can expect a range of 335 or 335-338 km. Based on the feedback we’ve received in our EV community, you can expect a range of 350 to 400 km. Now, let’s continue with the features and specifications. But let’s take a look at its front profile. Starting with the front profile guys, here we can see the connected DRLs, along with a projector-by-functional LED setup, which comes here without any fog lamps. You do get air curtains over here, which are functional. And this beautiful grille, which is completely covered. You will find the radar here, but there is no A-dash, but it is beautifully integrated with the grille. This is how we can see the Tata logo . This is its white color, which, guys, let me tell you, makes the car look even bigger. But talking about the looks of this car, guys, this car’s road presence is definitely visible on the road, and with the green number plate, people definitely turn to look, “Look, there’s a Harr EV coming.” What do you think in the comments section, please post it and let me know. You can see the air twin wipers here. So, no cost- cutting has been done. That’s great. This car has scored a five-star rating in terms of build quality and all that . And of course, it ‘s packed with airbags and other safety features. We ‘re giving you those in front of the screen. From a safety perspective, guys, Tata has amazing reliability. But when it comes to quality and specifications, people have a bit of a conflict. So let’s move on to the video and see what you get here. Talking about the side profile, the first thing that catches the eye is its 18-inch alloy wheels. Yes, you’ve got alloy wheels right from the base model. Goodyear tires with electric drive are provided . These are electric car-specific tires that offer long duration and low rolling resistance, improving range . We can see the Dot EV badging here, which is great. We also see the footrest from the base model, which is quite sturdy. But I’ve said the same thing for all the other variants: a handle along with this footrest would have made mounting and dismounting easier. For example, the handle here is majorly missing, guys. Again, please share your thoughts in the comments section. So, talking about the side profile, this is a 4600 mm long car. Talking about the width, this car measures 2132 mm , which is quite broad compared to others. Let’s also talk about the height. If you do this you get a height of 1740 mm. Just to give you a perspective, this is me and this is the car’s roof. Quite tall, that I must say. Now, if it is tall then how will the body roll be? So, see, all the vehicles which have high ground clearance and are SUV style, you get a little bit of body roll in them. This is how you get to see the ground clearance. The company claims 2005 mm, but I feel that with the battery pack and everything, it is around 180 to 190 mm. Again, there are different schools of thought. Someone has told me it is even less than this, but I don’t know, I will go with what the company has to say. Moving on with the side profile guys. You do not get any 360 degree camera over here. You do get a rear camera. Now that is good. But then again, a car of this size deserves a 360° camera, and this is something Tata could have thought of: a 360° camera would have provided more assistance to the driver. What’s new here is a velvety touch, which, I believe, reduces the amount of scratches on the glass, especially on the sides. Tata has done some excellent detailing. Here you’ll find a water panel. And you can see the large glass doors and glass windows . Moving on to the side profile, we see the shark fin antenna and the spoiler. Connected tail lamps, which are LED, are also available. We also get a wiper here. There’s no defogger. A high-mounted stop lamp is also available. Speaking of boot space, there’s a rear-view mirror. This gives you approximately 500 litres of boot space, along with a parcel tray from the base model itself. And you also get a spare wheel which you can see over there which is a size smaller. We can see the Harrier EVEV badging here, guys. And if we come to this side, the door of the car opens so much. Now look at its biggest competitor, I am talking about the Harrier EV Adventure 65, which is the Windast VF-7 Earth. If you want a comparison video, all you need to do is mention it in the comments section, comparing the H vs V or the H vs Seven. I ‘ll have a comparison video for you very soon, which I think could be a very sensible option for people trying to buy a big electric SUV around the ₹22 lakh budget. Before we get inside, guys, you get soft-touch elements right from the base model. You don’t get windows in the one-touch up and down option. Only the driver gets one-touch up and down. They’ve also added an illuminated logo for the one-touch up and down option. And what’s my favorite thing ? Because the Harrier EV is based on a so-called new platform, you definitely get a flat bed. But the leather seats are dark in color, which are available right from the base model. Let’s go inside the car. So again, we’ve talked a lot about the comfort of the back seat. It’s really, really good, in my opinion. Thigh support is good. Feet can be tucked in well. Shoulder room is very good. Headroom is very good because it doesn’t come with any sunroof, and the roof is available in a light color. The interiors are also available in three tones: black, gray, and a little bit of tan, as well. I’ll show you when I get to the front seat. But look, I really liked the tan and black combination. The AC vents are on the B-pillar. Adjustable seat belts for the driver and co-driver are great. There’s a magazine holder here . The lumbar support is manual, adjustable here. There ‘s no bounce mode. But you can definitely move the seat forward a little. You do not get a center armrest with any cup holders. But you get a 60:40 split seat with two adjustable seats. I am saying seat. Headrest. You do get grab handles with hooks over here and you also get it over here which is again good for a car of this size it was needed. You do get some more spacing over here. You do get a 52W type and a five volt type C port you can see here. I hope it is clear for you. You do not get any height adjustable driver seat for the co-passenger. But then again it is soft touch everywhere. This is hard plastic but overall it is soft touch and some nice wooden finish over here. Boot space of Talking about the boot space, here we have what I call the glove box. Talking about the glove box, we get a glove box with decent spacing, but it’s not cooled. So, again, I think there’s a bit of cost-cutting involved. But these are very trivial things. I can’t call it a major deal-breaker. Alright, moving on to the driver’s seat, there’s a request sensor for the driver’s seat . And the driver gets ample elbow room with soft-touch premium leatherette, along with power windows with, I believe, one touch up- down for the driver. I’m not too sure about that, because I believe the car’s battery is down. But then again, the door handles on all the doors are of really premium quality, with this chrome finish, really good. I mean, I don’t feel frizzy at all. It’s really, really good and sturdy gable handles as well. There’s no electrically adjustable driver’s seat here. It’s only manually adjustable, with height adjustment, as well. Let’s get inside the car and close it a bit. Guys, what can I say about the third door? This car is really, really good. But, I don’t think it will? Will it? No. I’m thinking the battery is completely empty, the poor aux battery. What happens in a showroom? People come in, test drive it, and leave it on. So, I understand, if the battery runs out or something happens, it can happen. But then again, let’s move on with the video. Here, we see a height-adjustable steering wheel, both reach and height . This does come with your illuminated Tata logo, along with your infotainment controls on your left. And you also get cruise control to your right. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is great. You get a fully digital MID . A 10-inch infotainment system with, I believe, eight speaker setup, along with automatic climate control. Talking about the AC, the AC valves have been designed with great love by the guys. And this one too has been designed very ergonomically, passenger-centric AC valves . You get manually adjustable IRVMs, which is absolutely fine, and you get your ORVMs control over here, which is traditional Tata, and I believe ergonomically, it is really, really convenient, and physically, you know, a button is dedicated, which is, in my opinion, very variant. We don’t get any vanity mirrors here, but there are some accessories in the description. You can go and buy vanity mirrors and other stuff for this car. By the way, there is a light at the rear. But I can’t tell if this is white or what it is because the battery is down here . It would have been nice if it was. But it’s okay. I completely understand guys. So please cooperate. There’s a center armrest with decent space. 12 volt output is available here. Again, we can see 52 and 5 volt sockets here. Which is which is enabled with fast charging. Talking about fast charging, we can see a 45 W Type C charger here. If you can see it here, there’s a wireless charging pad here. But that’s okay. Because practically, whatever I’ve seen, wireless charging pads charge very slowly even after connecting them . So, it’s better to charge with a wired charger. But I found this center console quite beautiful. JLR type, we can find gear shifters or mode shifters here . There are multiple driving modes here . We also get a dedicated button for the City, Eco, City, and Sports, which is great. We also get a hazard light button here . We get manual toggles for fan speed and temperature control for the AC . This entire setup uses soft touch, which is great from the base model itself. And what else? I hope I’m not really missing anything. There’s soft touch here too, for your driver to rest their legs. And there’s soft touch here too. So this is sensible thinking from Tata, in my opinion. We get a dedicated dead pedal here, as you can see, and talking about the seat comfort. So look, there’s that light coming on, brother. So look, I’m 6 feet tall. I get this much headroom. Because of the seat positioning. I can see the hood of the car clearly. And the visibility of the windshield is also very clear. Talking about visibility, look, the visibility of the rear windshield in the IRVM is also quite clear. Of course, it misses a third row, meaning the center passenger headrest. But okay . Now, if you sit there, you get three-point seat belts for all three passengers . So that is also good from the point of view of safety. The seat comfort is really good. Lumbar support and everything is really good. The cushioning is brilliant. I am very, very happy with this. And there are some more things. You know over here, this threading finishing in tan and black, with proper soft touch, gives a lot of premiumness to the base model itself. Now that is fantastic. Speaking of speakers , guys, here we get to see the I Believe Harmon speakers. Which in itself is excellent. At the same time, we don’t get the auto headlamp function here. But the headlamps are manually level adjustable, as you can see. And for rain sensing, we don’t get auto rain-sensing wipers here. Which is good, which is bad, I don’t know . But how much would it have cost if they had. Now, it’s something to think about. So that’s about it. Let’s show you what’s under the hood as well, now that we’ve talked about so much. Then let’s talk about what I think you should and should you not buy the Harrier EV base model? Here’s a delivery of a vehicle. So happy times for happy customers. Come on, if we open it, it’s quite heavy, guys. This is really, really heavy. There’s insulation here. You also get a frunk here , and it can hold up to 35 kg. So , you’ll find a fairly large frunk here. So that’s also good. That’s it. So, that was a quick walk-around for you guys. I hope I covered as many details as possible about the car. But let’s understand the VF7 Earth vs. the Harrier Adventure 65 vs. One you should go for. I’ll definitely make a detailed video for this, as I said. Let me know in the comments section. If you need that video, I’ll try to work on it as soon as possible and get it for you. Well, look, both cars are good in their own right. I’ll explain it in detail in that video, but this isn’t a bad option either. If you’re getting this car for up to Rs. 22 lakh, your V7 will be a little cheaper, as that’s the introductory price. But what about reliability? I understand there are a lot of glitches. But again the company who can actually go ahead and get those glitches fixed with the spare part availability is also Tata. Again that is what I think. I drive this car. I have personally had experiences and I have dealt with them. That is why I can say this confidently. But then again as I said if you are confused if you really need my suggestion, my guidance I provide expert card buying guidance where many have tried, all have been said is satisfied, a link in the description and a number on your screen. If you really want to buy an EV and if you need an expert guidance, please reach out to me. I promise you unbiased opinion and suggestion for your EV buying needs. That was a quick video on the Harrier EV base model. Again, a great product, a great value proposition. You get a lot of what this car offers even from the base model . But when we do a detailed comparison with the VF7, we’ll be able to break it down and say which car outshines in which aspects. Okay. So, see you on that video. For now, goodbye to this video. Take care. God bless. Love you all.
