What is the point of crew cab midsizes?

Let me start with, this is not a hate post for crew cab trucks, I have no issues with them.

I just don’t understand why you would get one of these over a full-size extended or crew cab.

You can get a full size for about the same price, and get similar MPG. When you get a crew cab, the midsize no longer has an advantage over a full size. Not to mention the backseat of most crew cab midsizes are significantly tighter than even an extended cab full size(test drove a 2025 Colorado crew cab, and a 2025 Silverado double cab before making this). They have seemingly no advantage over a full size.

The only one I understand is the frontier, and that is only because the titan got axed.
