Aipas M1 Pro Review | Is This Fat Tire E-Bike Worth It?
All right, Mopar people. Welcome back to the channel. I’m just Mopar Joe. I went to Mop Party this year in Bowling Green, Kentucky. And I didn’t bring a pit bike, a golf cart, a bicycle, a skateboard, a scooter, nothing. It’s a quarter mile racetrack and we parked we pitted at the very end. So, in order for me to get back to the staging lanes, I had to walk about half of a mile back and forth. I saw a hundred people that knew me along the way. I had to do something. So, this company reached out to me and said, “You want to try our ebike? I didn’t know that was a thing, but I got one and it’s here.” So, let’s unbox it. I’m 6’5 and I got this seat basically adjusted where I think it would be at. If you were a shorter person, uh, you may not like how tall this sits. I don’t know. I guess you could drop down and do whatever. Got shocks on the front and rear. Brakes are hooked up. I got a couple more little accessory things you’re supposed to send me in the mail. I don’t know. Uh, but I got to scan the thing and figure out how to turn it on. I thought this key would do it, but the key when you twist it, it pops the battery out. So, this big bad mama here is the battery and it says high voltage boat voltage Lion battery pack. Uh, but that’s that’s nice. I guess if you want to not bring your bike in, you can just pop that out and walk it to the wall and charge it. Little button here in the center that turns on the display. There we go. It’s in mile per hour now. So, this PAS, you can turn it up on this right side and it’ll go up to five. So, I’ve been six miles on this thing. I have been trying to ride it some over the last couple weeks just when I get some free time and it’s not bad. Um, got a headlight. You can adjust whatever. But so the PAS part like right now I’ve got it on number one meaning with my throttle throttle lever you start moving brakes work nice now um but it will assist you. So, pedal assisting. So, if I start pedaling and I’m not touching the throttle lever lever, excuse me, we start moving. Here’s back with our bike. So, they did send me my accessories and I’m very glad I got them. Uh, this is the original little rear shock that goes on there and it is better than nothing. You could probably or I could have probably uh loosened that spring off some and it not been so stiff and rigid, but you could tell which I’m I’ll take you out for a ride here in a minute. Uh if you if you’re on rough terrain, whatever, this kind of was pretty stiff and was kind of springing my back feel like. Um there are some little absorbers in the seat too, but they send you this sweet air shock deal here so you can air it up a little more, whatever. But it So, here’s what that does. If I can push on it. Such a softer ride. Like night and day difference. And you can air it up more. I may add a little bit more for myself, but uh I was wrong on the seat. I brought the seat up because whenever I started pedaling, I didn’t want my feet my legs really cramped up underneath me. And this was the other accessory. So, this is actually like a little hydraulic cylinder in here. You hook it to your bike’s brake cable, and when you pull the pedal, it it gives you a lot. Basically, the difference in power brakes and non-power brakes, it gives you that extra boost. Um, there’s the original. It was just like a kind of a simple manual squeezer deal that see how it feels like it would be easy and it moves easily, but you would have to pull pretty aggressively if you’re going 21 miles an hour with front and rear brakes to get this thing to stop. So now this is much much nicer. I can show you like that’s the amount of force it takes now to stop. So if you had a weak grip or something like that, u I would definitely upgrade those brakes as well. Good idea. Glad I got them. Let’s ride this baby. I’m going to turn this on number one right now and we’ll go for a bike ride. So if you had difficulty riding a bike, you could put it on number one like on concrete. It’s very easy gravel. Pretty easy. If dogs are chasing you, you can turn it on number five like this. And they won’t catch you. Okay. So, I’ll go back to zero now and I’ll pedal. This is low speed, so I think it’s six or eight speeds. I’m not sure. I think six. So, there’s a little plus sign right here if I wanted to change speeds. There you go. And if you want to go back, there’s a lever. You pull the lever and start start back to pedaling. So, typically I can pedal on zero fine. If you start to get tired, give it number one. But I’m going into a valley right now, so I could probably turn it back to zero easy. This grass is not bad, but if I was in that grass, I would want number one turned on. And again, if you didn’t want pedal at all, just twist the handle. See number one slowing us down. That’s wide open number one. There goes five. I get to the highway. I want to zoom. Let’s go. 22 mph. There we go. Heat. Heat. So, I guess my final thoughts. This is probably exactly what I need for going to the drag strip or something. It is cool. The brake function. See, when you hit the brake, it lights up for you. Got a little horn. Got a light on front. It does okay at night. Like, it’s fine. I can’t attest to longevity or anything, but it rides pretty smooth and did well for the first almost eight miles. If you wanted to ride this on the uh road a lot more, you know, you may want It would probably take a little bit of getting used to, but there’s our different sprockets. Looks like one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. And also if you’re riding on the road and you wanted to get up to speed quicker, you could leave your number on example five, like coming up to a stop sign, twist that and really go and then just turn it down as you’re driving. Pretty neat. Um, so far I’ve enjoyed it. Having good luck with it. So there is the Apus bike. 48 volts.
I found myself in need of transportation at the drag races between rounds and this electric bike seemed like it would be a great fit. I can load it easily in the back of my truck and use it to drive around the pit area.
