2025 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring Plug-in Hybrid
Back with one of my favorite small SUVs. This is the Lincoln Corsair. And really not a lot new for 2025, but I had to book it. I had to have it. I wanted to show you because again, it’s one of my favorite small SUVs. Uh luxury premium. Um amazing to drive. This is the plug-in hybrid, so it’s more powerful than the gas only. It’s also more efficient than the gas only. Um this crystal white is a new color for 2025. The Grand Touring now gets the black appearance package with these black 20-inch wheels, black grill. Um, that package was not previously available on the Grand Touring. And yes, the plug-in hybrid um gets about I’m getting about 50 km, I think, in pure electric range. Just plug it in overnight at home. Uh, it’s stated to be 27 mi. So, that actually would be more than 50 mi uh kilometers. But regardless, it’s 27 miles in pure electric range. And I love pure uh I love plug-in hybrids for that reason. Again, also a little bit more power with those two electric motors. Let’s go for a drive. This is a 2 and 1/2 L inline four cylinder plus two electric motors. It is more powerful than the gas only Corsair. 266 horsepower, an ECVT transmission. All-wheel drive is standard on the Corsair. And I love Lincoln interiors. Always incredibly comfortable. So many ways you can change the seat and um the size of a small SUV is always my favorite for maneuverability with that 360 camera. Uh just the size and uh it’s a sufficient amount of power. It’s more powerful and more efficient than the gas only Corsair. One of the things I love so much about the Corsair is the body style. The body lines, the styling, and these black wheels and black accents on this Crystal White look really, really sharp. And I I did look at the website to see what the difference was or if there was a different white. So, there is still another white. This crystal white has different tones to it. I feel like it almost has a blue undertone to it, kind of like that cloud uh color we saw on a Volvo not too long ago. Uh the styling again, the black on the crystal white, really, really, really sharp with the black roof line and the black uh window surrounds as well. Just a really sharp, lux looking body style. I feel the same about the rear end styling. Super clean, very modern. Light bar across the back, the big Lincoln across the back, and uh dual exhaust, black lower bumper, and um of course, power lift gate. It also has hands-free. It’s not going to work for me right now because I don’t have the key fob on me, but I use that function uh when I’m out grocery shopping. Yesterday was errands day for me. I picked up a lot of bigger items. Um and it’s so great to be able to come over to the vehicle with your hands full or your shopping cart and just stick your foot under. I’ll give you a tip with Lincoln. You got to do it under the L and so is the uh trunk release. The buttons always under the L, the uh second L in Lincoln. A good size rear cargo area and I can fold the seats from here. We have lights back here, 12vt back here, my charging cable, a spare tire, and uh for a small SUV, it’s it’s plenty of cargo room. We get this cool floating uh piece right here with our push button gear selector and some hard touch buttons. There is a wireless charging pad underneath here and plugins for uh I believe two USBC’s, no, a USB and a USBC. Two goodsiz cup holders are drive modes button. Good size touch screen. Um, dual zone climate control, as I mentioned, heated steering wheel. And yes, wireless CarPlay is standard. I just don’t have it connected to my phone. The head-up display is part of the uh package, the equipment group package. And um, we do have Blue Cruise as part of that same package. It’s called equipment group 302 in Canada. It’s called something else in the US, but uh, it’s an $11,300 option in Canada. And in the US again, I think it’s uh it’s like a level three package group. Their packages are difficult. Um Blue Cruise though. Yes. Amazing. And uh I love this on Lincoln. You just push this button right here. It’s like in the perfect spot to do voice commands. And then we get a like they’re not haptic, but they are uh little buttons on the uh steering wheel here as well for your Bluetooth Cruise and your music settings. Uh all here on the steering wheel, we have some real wood inlay on the dash as well. It’s really quite beautiful. Um the seats are so adjustable that even the leg extenders are separate on either side, so you can have one out, one in. And what that could be good for is for your left leg. You could put the leg extender all the way out to support your left leg while your foot is on the dead pedal, which I think is really quite cool. Um, and again, blue cruise. Let’s talk about that for a second. If I have time, I’ll get on the highway and show you. But it is hands-free adaptive cruise control. Uh, it is comes standard including four years on this package. Um, and I love Blue Cruise. It is fantastic. uh hands-free system for a small SUV. I sure do have a lot of room back here and I love the giant panoramic center if that opens. Um this this leather color is called truffle and it’s beautiful. We have reclining rear seats, a 60/40 split center armrest with two cup holders. Of course, we have latch for two child car seats and tethers for three uh vents back here. Heated outboard seats. And then we’ve got uh two USBC chargers and actually four USBC chargers. I thought one of those would have been a household plug. Um I am only 5’1, but I have plenty of room. This is in my driving position. And um this this has a couple of options on it. It’s they’re called different things in the US and Canada, but in Canada, I think it’s called the equipment uh equipment option 302 or something like that. Um, and it’s got another uh part of that. It’s like the heated rear seats, the head-up display, um, heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel is part of that, and the Revel 14 speaker audio is part of that as well. And it’s very, very good. I love Lincoln sound systems. I also love this light interior. Like the light headliner looks really good. So, what do you think of the Corsair? Like I said at the beginning of this video, it’s one of my favorite small SUVs. It’s just so lux feeling. And with this hybrid, you get that uh benefit of some pure electric range, more efficient than the gas only, also more powerful than the gas only. Um the gas only Corsair starts at 49,000 Canadian or about $41,000. This Grand Touring is the top spec and the plug-in hybrid is more expensive. I believe the plug-in hybrid is only available on the Grand Touring in the US, whereas you can get it on a couple different trims in Canada. This one, as tested, $80,000 Canadian, actually just over. And uh if I price it out on the US website correctly, again, the packages and things are different. They’re called different things. Uh $65,000. So, um I was a little bit surprised to hear the $80,000 price point, but um it competes with like a Mercedes GLC hybrid, uh Volvo XC60 hybrid. I’m trying to think of the other hybrids in this category. So, it’s a premium like a luxury brand with a hybrid. So, that’s where the 80k comes from. Uh let me know what you guys think.
