This E-Bike Is Built Like a TANK (Basically Indestructible)
Ladies and gentlemen, it’s a new week, so you know that means we got a new bike. Let’s crack this thing open. All right, before we start, Poppy, please sponsor me. Please, please, please. That right there, ladies and gentlemen, it’s a tire. The frame is a heavy duty steel and aluminum hybrid setup. It literally feels like the weight of my Stark. How does that even make sense? First order is going to be getting this front wheel on. Where is my spacer? Front wheel axle cover. There’s no spacer on this thing. That’s crazy. Front wheel axle and nut. Oh my gosh, bro. There’s no way that these forks are going to compress together like that. Looks good to me, boys. All right, here’s what the Rex T1 has claimed me. 72vt 35 amp hour, 7500 W motor peaking at 10 kW moto style forks up front and KK rear shock. Some people have been tagging me saying, “Zake, see if it actually holds up because trails do not lie.” All of this for $3,999. The bike comes with an NFC card similar to Tesla. Very futuristic. First startup on the bike. Uh, hello. Oh, it’s dead. Oh, I’m so stupid. 35 and eco sport. The throttle actually feels good. Usually, like with these other bikes and stuff like the throttle, it’s like the most important thing. Like I should be able to wheelie this thing. very futuristic looking slash not sure. So you see where the forks go up and then the top triple clamp goes back and then to the bar. Every bike usually has the bars direct center of the forks. So this will be interesting. Look at that thing, dude. I like the texture. It’s like the same as like my off-road. But, dude, like feel it, dude. Like, everything’s just heavy. Like, a [ __ ] tank. Just feel the weight of this thing. Oh my god, bro. I know. This thing can run through a wall. Comfy as hell. I like to see it’s innovation. Bro, this battery is going to be smoked by the end of the day. I’m actually curious to know what the exact weight is on it. But look, we got a crossbar on here, too. Okay, it doesn’t feel bad. That was kind of gnarly. Dude, the brakes are good. What is the suspension? What the heck? The thing is, like when I get these bikes, I never know what to expect. Sometimes it’ll look really good. It ends up being like absolute poo poo. But like this one, I’m I’m actually kind of impressed. I’m not even going to lie. I like testing these like weird one-off bikes, though, because it’s like they’re they’re new. No one has videos on them, dude. Okay, that one’s steep. I don’t know if Matt’s making that one. I’m telling you guys, this stuff is so hard when the dirt is dry, but when it is wet, it is maximum traction. He made it. All right, he made it. I can make it, right? Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh, dude. Straight up the dirt being wet adds so much more traction. It’s unreal. One downside about it for sure is the weight. It like kind of throws me off a little bit. So when it’s weighing this much, it feels a little bit less like nimble. It still feels pretty good at the same time, but it’s it’s definitely noticeable. Keep it going. Keep it going. Oh, this is the first steep hill. Oh shoot. Kidding me. Ow. Holy. Treacherous downhill. Oh, it’s like slippery and then not slippery. We’re going to go to these jumps that are incredibly too small for these bikes. But we got a whole squad of us meeting up today. A little off camber. Oh, buddy. Buddy’s getting a little too comfy, dude. I feel like I can just hold it wide open everywhere cuz the dirt is literally just perfect ripping. All right, hop in on the 45. Your speaker’s loose, bro. Oh my gosh, this thing is sketchy. Dude, the sketchiest bike ever. The sound that it’s making is killing me. Not too shabby. But my Rex on the other hand, she’s doing me good. No way. Is this what I think it is right now? The world’s sketchiest step up ever. All right, got to warm her up. You know, Z is autistic. Let’s go. I just cased the hell out of it. Yeah, I made it. I’m about to hit the world’s longest jump on the the Rex P1. See how far we get. [ __ ] This guy’s coming in hot. Yo. Oh my gosh. That was like 50 ft. It’s heavy but durable. Actually kind of took it. So yeah, we’ll see how she ends up after the day after we hit some treacherous trails. So yeah, this battery is probably going to get absolutely obliterated here cuz I’m going to have to hit the street the whole way there. Dude, it actually hits 50. It’s rare that a company will put on their website, it goes a certain speed and it doesn’t even get close. This actually just went 50 mph. 50 mph scooter right now. It’d probably be like a solid city commuter if I’m being honest. If I were to like say, look at me following all the rules, dude. I’m a good pedestrian here. I’m full on all the laws. Besides the fact that this is not allowed on the road. I will say that is nice though. They actually didn’t do the brake sensors. I hate brake sensors on these bikes, dude. I cannot stand them. So, it’s perfect. I’m just happy that the throttle is actually controllable. Usually, like throttles on these bikes and stuff are not that controllable. But then again, this is a $3,200 bike, so it’s kind of up there with pricing. These trails are pretty gnarly. So, we’ll see if I can keep up on my tank. What up, dude? Dude, I want to be part of the crew. Bro, getting this front wheel up, it it gets up at slow speeds, but going at a decent speed, I’m like, you got to seriously put some like ump onto it to get that thing up. I also thought this would be a little weird, and it is a little weird having these clamps kind of push far back. Oh. Oh, brother. Watch the fresh paint, dude. Oh, damn. You got through that pretty clean. I’m going to rip this on the China special right now. Okay. All right. You ready? Got to keep up, dude. Oh, it’s slick. It is muddy, dude. Ooh, not looking good. 35%. Holy freak, dude. You just burn 15. I just burned 15, dude. The fact that this thing’s so heavy and like it just feels like sturdy. Yeah, it’s not clinking or anything. You’re hitting those bumps so hard. That’s what I’m saying. I can hear it. Yeah. Yeah. So, I’m like, all right, I’m going eco mode, boys. I’m just kind of here for the ride, you know? I still got to get home. Oh my gosh, dude. Feel like I’m on a snail when I’m in eco mode. Just chugging along. Bro, if this is how I got to get home, too, I ain’t I ain’t out running nobody. You probably catch me on your feet. Oh, that didn’t sound good. I thought that charger would have charged the battery pretty quick, but I mean it was a 84 volt 10 amp. I didn’t get much percentage out of it for the 30 40 minutes it was charging. I went up like maybe 8%. But yeah, I’m going to let this go to 15. After 15, guys, I got to call it there cuz I don’t know if I’m going to make it at that point. Oh freak. Wide open right now. Oh my gosh, this rain run. It got so much worse cuz the bike is so heavy. It doesn’t feel like it’s rattling up usually, you know, like all these other bikes. You start going through this stuff and it gets all loosey goosey. Oh, holy moly. This trail’s cooked. This trail is literally cooked. All this rain just made the rain rut like 6 or 9 ft deep, dude. Oh. Oh, I’m getting finger punked. Look at that. Dusted the competition. Oh my god. That was not frick, dude. Wow. Dude, you guys can’t keep up with me or what, bro? At all this rain smoke these trails. Yeah. Oh yeah. It’s kind of fun though cuz it’s like it’s like a massive rut. You just got to get in the rut the whole time. Yeah. I’m not going to lie, guys. I could really say whatever I want about this bike. He just sent it to me and he was like, “Dude, let me know what you think.” I’m actually thoroughly impressed right now. I mean, it’s not like my cup of tea here. Like, I definitely All right, I’m going back into sport here. This is definitely not my cup of tea. Like I I this is not a bike that would tailor towards like what I need, what I ride. But if you live in like a city or something, I don’t see why this bike wouldn’t work for you. Like it actually handles pretty well. It’s pretty sturdy, robust. It’s just heavy as heck. But that’s like the only really bad thing I have to say about it. Oh. Oh, that did not sound good. That’s the way, dude. Lead the way, bro. Basically, I got to go up this treacherous hill, down this treacherous hill again, and then up a freaking super steep hill. I’ve never ridden a bike down this low of battery. It’s going to be a DIY build cuz I’m not trying to spend 60 grand on building a van out. The van’s going to be sweet, though. Shout out Logan Taylor. I love that guy’s content. All right, here’s the treacherous hill that I don’t think this bike will make up, but I have to get up this. Okay, I don’t care if I just Oh my gosh. Let’s go. Dude, the traction, the wet dirt helps so much. Oh my gosh, this is steeper than ever. Dude, that’s bad. Oh, come on. Come on. Come on. Oh my gosh, dude. Ah, 13%. We’re dropping. Oh, frick. Almost fell back right now. Look at the treachers. Okay, I think if I just get over that hump, I’m safe. Damn, I’m so close. It’s this freaking stupid thing. I need to get up. I have no leverage. That’s the issue, too. Oh my gosh. Come on. Thing only weighs a freaking ton. What do I do here? Yes. Yes. Yes. Oh my gosh. I made it. Oh my gosh. Oh, I made it. It’s so freaking slow. This thing’s so slow right now. 35 amp hour get you far, but not too far. So, I got a total of 9%. My gas lights on. I’ve never been so happy to make it out of the hills. Even though I charged the bike up to 44%, I ran out of battery a bit quicker than I was expecting. I had to abandon the crew and head back so my bike didn’t die and leave me stranded. I charged the bike up for an hour and had to ride home in the dark. I have a front headlight and tail light. It should be fine. Those lights are good. We are back. We are back. We are back. This thing charges so freaking slow. I don’t know why. Oh my gosh. There’s no torque. I’m literally wide open. 26%. I’m feeling the battery like just slowly die. The fact that it’s so like durable and like heavy and like very rigid makes it feel like it’s undestructible and it doesn’t feel like it’s loosening up or anything. So, that’s one good feature. Oh my gosh, there’s a fire. Holy crap. No way. Someone’s house is lit on fire right now, dude. No way. No way. Oh my gosh. Look, that thing’s engulfed. Damn, bro. That’s sad. Oh my gosh. That’s genuinely sad, bro. I hope everyone’s safe, dude. Look how big the planes are. If a car pulls me over, I’m be like, “Bro, yeah, they’re going to the fire. They they ain’t got to worry about me.” I got a front and rear tail light on this thing, dude. 11%. Took about 25% to get home. Honestly, exactly how the bike is advertised is exactly how it is.
