2025 Toyota Land Cruiser vs 2025 Land Rover Defender 110 | Toyota

The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser versus the 2025 Land Rover Defender 110. Let’s discover which of these
premium off-road SUVs offers the most appeal to drivers. Land Cruiser’s standard
i-FORCE MAX Hybrid powertrain has more standard horsepower
than Defender 110. Thanks to available features
like a power liftgate, three-zone automatic climate control, a center console cool box, and available Digital Key compatibility, Land Cruiser comes with more
conveniences than Defender 110. At an EPA-estimated 23
miles per gallon combined, Land Cruiser’s MPG ratings
beat out Defender 110’s. Now let’s put Land Cruiser
and Defender 110 side by side. Land Cruiser’s lineup
consists of two grades: Land Cruiser 1958 and Land Cruiser. Both have standard
full-time four-wheel drive and a standard hybrid powertrain. Defender 110 offers five grades with standard all-wheel drive. Land Cruiser captivates
with its refined good looks, which are supported by a
heritage-inspired grille. Want the convenience of an
available power liftgate? The Toyota Land Cruiser offers it, while Defender 110 does not. Additionally, both Land
Cruiser and Defender 110 have available two-tone exterior colors. Land Cruiser comes standard
with a Smart Key system. Defender 110 similarly has
standard keyless entry, but while Land Cruiser offers available digital key compatibility, Defender 110 leaves it out. Both models do offer available
leather-trimmed heated and ventilated
power-adjustable front seats. Inside Land Cruiser’s premium cabin, drivers will find standard three-zone automatic climate control. On Defender 110, only
dual-zone is standard. Land Cruiser also has an
available console cool box, another feature that’s not
available on Defender 110. Land Cruiser has an available 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and an
available head-up display, with Defender 110 also
offering both as an option. But while Land Cruiser has a standard 2,400-watt AC inverter, Defender 110’s inverter only
supports up to 180 watts. The 2025 Land Cruiser
comes with so much tech, thanks to its Toyota
Audio Multimedia platform, which features a standard eight-inch or available 12.3-inch touchscreen. Defender 110 comes standard
with an 11.4-inch touchscreen. This Toyota interface includes standard wireless
compatibility for Apple CarPlay, which connects drivers to
the apps on their iPhone, including maps, messages,
podcasts, and music subscriptions. In addition, wireless
Android Auto compatibility makes it easy to stay
connected to Android devices and access various apps
and services from Google, including YouTube Music and Google Maps. If you’re looking for
wireless compatibility in the Land Rover, you won’t find it. Defender 110 only has wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Toyota Land Cruiser comes with a standard three-month
SiriusXM trial subscription that includes over 165
channels available in-cabin, and even more on the SiriusXM app, making it easier than ever to
enjoy not just ad-free music, but also sports, comedy, and more. Defender 110 also includes
SiriusXM trials as standard. Select grades also include trials for Toyota’s line of Connected Services, including Safety Connect,
Service Connect, Remote Connect, Wi-Fi Connect, and Drive Connect. Defender 110 offers no
connected services trials. And Land Cruiser elevates sound with its available 14-speaker
JBL Premium Audio system. Defender 110 has the
Meridian Premium Audio system with 10 or 14 speakers,
depending on the grade. Land Cruiser comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite. This includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams, Full-Speed Range Dynamic
Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. Defender 110 offers similar
features to Toyota Safety Sense, including Emergency Braking
and Lane Keep Assist. Land Cruiser also comes standard with Blind Spot Monitor with
Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, with Defender 110 offering its equivalent standard Blind Spot Assist with Rear-Traffic Monitor. And Land Cruiser has an
available Multi-Terrain Monitor, while Defender 110 has a
standard 3D Surround View Camera. In addition, Land Cruiser has standard Front and Rear Parking Assist
with Automatic Braking. Defender 110 has an available
360-Degree Parking Aid, which includes front, rear,
and side parking sensors. But here is where Land Cruiser rises above its would-be competitor. While Land Cruiser offers
available Lane Change Assist, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, and Traffic Jam Assist with
an active Drive Connect trial or subscription, Defender
110 offers no equivalent. With the 2025 Land Cruiser, a blend of power and performance
comes standard by way of its impressive i-FORCE
MAX hybrid powertrain. It generates 326 net combined horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. Defender 110’s standard
powertrain produces considerably less at 296 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Defender also offers an
available 3.0-liter inline-six with 395 horsepower and
406 pound-feet of torque, an available supercharged
V8 with 518 horsepower and 461 pound-feet of torque, and an available twin-turbo
V8 with 626 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. But both vehicles do elevate handling, thanks to standard
full-time four-wheel drive with a center locking differential and two-speed transfer case, and Defender 110’s standard
all-wheel drive system. Land Cruiser comes
standard with independent front and multi-link rear
coil spring suspension. Defender comes standard
with a coil suspension and has available air suspension. Land Cruiser shines with
standard Crawl Control, standard electronically
locking rear differential, and available Multi-Terrain Select. Plus, Land Cruiser also includes an available Stabilizer
Disconnect Mechanism, while Defender 110 does not. And that’s not all. Land Cruiser nudges past
the competition again with an EPA-estimated 23
miles-per-gallon combined rating. Defender 110 has up to an EPA-estimated 19
miles-per-gallon combined rating. Land Cruiser offers strong
value with ToyotaCare, which includes two years or 25,000 miles of scheduled maintenance,
whichever comes first, and two years unlimited-mileage
24-hour roadside assistance. Land Cruiser also includes
a limited warranty for three years or 36,000
miles, whichever comes first, and a five-year or 60,000-mile
powertrain warranty, whichever comes first. Defender 110 includes limited and powertrain warranties for
four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, and four years or 50,000 miles of roadside assistance, whichever comes first. And since Land Cruiser is a hybrid, it includes a hybrid system warranty that covers select components for eight years or 100,000
miles, whichever comes first, and a 10-year or 150,000-mile
hybrid battery warranty, whichever comes first. Land Cruiser stands as
a powerful contender in the premium SUV segment. With its innovative standard
i-FORCE MAX Hybrid powertrain that generates strong horsepower, and a generous suite of tech features, Land Cruiser provides drivers with a seamless blend of
power, convenience, and style. Discover Land Cruiser today at Toyota.com.
