








The Polo was never sold in America, but apparently the idea existed, and this was supposedly the prototypepe
It features larger bumpers, running lights, cutouts for narrow license plates, sealed-beam headlights, two reverse lights, emission-related components in the engine bay, etc.
A very early ’81 Polo with chassis number 000117, only 1,400 miles on the clock, originally from the VW Museum and later part of the Hermann Walter collection.
