Ultraviolette X47 Ride Review – Very Tempting But Expensive?? | Electric Vehicles India
Friends, welcome back to a new video. And for this video, we have the brand new Ultraviolet X47 electric bike. But in this video, we’re going to ride this electric bike. And I’m going to share my ride experience of this ultraviolet X47. I already rode this electric bike for about 8 to 10 km and my experience was mindblowing. This is a killer electric bike particularly in this segment. Which segment? This is a crossover adventure tourer. I think we don’t have any other electric bikes in this segment. So with this bike you can tour. With this bike you can race. With this bike you can thoroughly enjoy the Indian roads. So this is a perfect electric bike for a typical Indian roads because it has a very good suspension setup. The previous electric bike from ultraviolet was a completely sports bike. So that will have a committed ride position and a stiffer suspension. But this one is not like that. This will have a relaxed riding posture along with the long travel suspension at the front as well as in the rear. What not? It has everything. It has good suspension. It has electronic. It has comfort and it has performance. So this is a completely loaded electric bike. And the pricing is also not too bad. So I’ll let you know everything. But before that, let me give you a short 360d view of this X47 electric bike. So, as you can see, we have a tall windshield. Both the indicators literally all the lights are LED. Here we have the headlamp along with DRLs. Here we have a small Choto Q2B. Front will be 110 section 17in stairs. Rear will be 150 section 17 in tires. And at the front we have USD golden folks. And it looks beautiful on this black color. Here we have ultraviolet badging, X47 badging. And this is the signature battery pack of ultraviolet automotive. They worked literally 4 years on this battery pack. So they have two battery pack variants. Let’s talk about that when you are riding this electric bike. And continuing about the designing here we have crash guards for this battery pack. And here we have the rider foot as well as a pillion footback. And the rear brake is on the right leg side. And as you can see this has a dual channel ABS along with the dual disc brakes. And coming back this is how the rear portion of this X47 looks. And one important thing in this electric bike is the radar sensor. This X47 is Vol’s first electric bike which comes with this radar sensor. So as you can see this is the radar sensor. So I’ll let you know how this radar sensor works when I go to the cockpit. And this is how the left side view of this X47 looks. Here we have the long seat. A very comfortable seat for the rider and not so bad seat for the pillion. And uh there are ton of accessory options for this. You can get the top rack. You can get the side panels. You can get knuckle guards, you can get advanced crash guards, what not. You’ll get everything for the touring for this electric bike. And company has gave a small provision over here. So this is to tie the luggage. So if you are riding solo and if you want to tie your luggage on this seat, you can literally take the bungee cords from this hole. So this is a clear thought from ultraviolet. Now without any delay, let’s hop onto this electric bike. Yeah. So this is how the cockpit view will be. Riding posture will be very comfortable. And this is how my leg posture will be. It’s not 90°. So as this electric bike has, this is not exactly 90°. It has a bit sportier riding posture. And now let me switch on to this electric bike. To switch on, press the brake and press and hold this power button. As you heard, the electric bike has switched on. Now, now let me tell you how this radar sensor, how this adds feature works in this X47 electric bike. So you can see the warnings of this radar sensor in three places. The first place will be on the right side mirror. Second place will be on the left side mirror and the third place will be on this display. So if any vehicle is approaching near you, this will indicate you in orange color. If it approaches very near to you, it indicates in red color. So when I’m riding this electric bike, you can clearly watch that this has blind spot detection, rear collision warning and overtaking warning and line keeping assist. So it has some addas features like this. Before riding this electric bike has three riding modes, glide, combat and ballistic. Currently I’m going to ride this electric bike in glide mode. So let’s start our ride. Let me remind you this is not silent as this is an electric bike but it’s not silent. The motor is making sound. So now you can clearly find the warnings on the display as well as on the mirrors. There are two autos going over here. When I cross them, as you can see, it’s showing orange color. And when they approach near me, it will show red color. So the performance in the glide mode is decently good. You can go up to 80 to 90 kmp speed, but it takes time. Basically the torque will be low in this glide mode and auto is approaching me as you can see and it’s showing orange color. So this is how the adash features in this X47 works. So basically it will warn you, it will indicate you that some vehicles are coming behind you. Please be careful. As you can see a car is in my blind spot and here it’s showing orange color. The car went off. So like this as you can see orange color is blinking here as well as here and done no lights a car is approaching me and again it’s showing orange color over here as you can see two oranges. So this is how the addas features in this X47 works. Now let’s test the performance. So there will be no performance in the glide mode but let me switch it to combat. And this is how the performance in the combat will be. Full throttle in the combat mode 100. Stunning. Stunning performance. And brakes are also good. We have disc brakes on both the ends. One more time. Performance test in the combat mode. Wow. See, you are easily relaxing on this electric bike and cruising like this. Nice. Very nice performance. And this has 10 levels of regenerative braking. If you put regenerative braking in it peak level, you don’t need to apply brakes. the bike will automatically apply its own brakes and it has four levels of traction control too. Currently I have put the regenerative braking in the fourth level and uh at 50 kmp speed I left the throttle and I’m not applying any brakes. As you can see the bike is slowing down. It has slowed down. Came to 20 15 10. So this is how the regenerate to braking was. And now let me put it in peak level. Currently it is in R8 and there is also R9 regenerate to braking 9. Now at 50 kmp speed. I’m leaving the throttle instant instant braking. So when you put this in R8 or R9, you don’t need to break in the city. So when you are gliding through bumper to bumper traffic or moving traffic, you don’t need to apply any brakes because the bike will automatically apply brakes. There I need to take a U-turn. I left the throttle indicator on. No brakes applied till now. I can easily take the U-turn. So this is how the advanced regenerative braking. 10 levels of regenerative braking in this X47 works. I became a big fan for this regenerative braking. And let me test the performance in the ballistic mode. The ballistic mode is very powerful as you can see. Full throttle in the ballistic mode. And it’s just take off like this. Yeah, the brakes are very responsive. You can easily control this electric bike. And it has some electronics like uh traction control, dual channel ABS. So you don’t need to fear for anything. Maneuvering is a bit hard, but you can do that. Order in majestic 110 120. Wow. So addictive. So addictive. No doubt performance-wise it will definitely impress you. You won’t regret buying this after experiencing the power. Wow. Very very good power. Now let me switch it to glide mode. The power is very addictive. Yeah, the riding poster is very comfortable. You can easily cruise this electric bike for any number of kilometers within a single stretch. Now let me take this to a off-roading patch. So the main difference between the F77 and this X47 is the suspension thing. So this has a bit long travel suspension so that you can ride in the off-roading conditions very easily. As you can see here we have some bad road and let me glide through it. Yeah, it is handling very well. If I had F77, I could have faced an issue, a very big issue with the suspension. But this is handling very well. And this also has park assist. Press and hold the brake and press and hold this O button, this will go into park assist and it moves into reverse direction without any effort. And if you press O button again, it will go into forward mode. And if you want to exit, press and hold this O button again. Yeah, now you are in the ready mode. Let us test the suspension again. Yeah, very comfortable. Yeah, no issues with the suspension. It can easily handle these kind of small rough patches, speed breakers, rumble strip. It can handle typical Indian roads very easily. So this is all about the performance and riding feel of this electric bike. Guys, done with the ride. Now let’s talk about the technical specifications of this ultraviolet X47. Talking about the battery pack, this X47 electric bike is available in two battery pack variants. Base variant comes with 7.1 kWh battery and the top end variant comes with 10.3 kW battery. With the 7.1 kW battery pack, companies claiming an IDC range of 21 km on a single charge. And with 10.3 kWh battery, company’s claiming a range of 323 km on a single charge. But coming to the real range, with 7.1 kW battery pack, you can expect somewhere around 150 to 160 km. With 10.3 kilo battery pack, you can expect somewhere around 250 to 260 kilm real range from this ultraviolet X47 electric bike. And next, let’s talk about the variance and final pricing of this electric bike. So when company has launched this electric bike they have announced a special pricing of 2.5 lakh rupees x showroom. So currently now the x showroom cost remains same. Now you can pre-book this electric bike for 2.5 lakh rupees extra room. So this extra room cost is limited till 5,000 units. After ultra wallet delivered 5,000 units the x showroom cost goes to 2.75 lakh rupees and this pricing is per base variant. So base variant is called original. This X47 electric bike has a total of five variants. Base variant is called original. In original, you’ll get 7.1 kilo battery pack to 11 kilometers IDC range. You’ll get only switchable traction control. That means no four levels. You can either switch off or switch on. And you’ll get only four levels of regenerative braking. There won’t be 10 levels of regenerative braking. And you will get an offboard charger. You need to carry the charger brick in order to charge this electric bike. And you’ll only get 3 years of standard warranty with the original. So this is all about the original variant. You’ll get everything same. You’ll get the radar sensor as standard for all variants. You’ll get dual channel ABS. You’ll get dual disc brakes for all the variants in this X47. So this is about the base variant. 2.5 lakh R introd. And for onroad cost you can add 40,000 rupees extra. And the second variant is called original plus. So the original place variant cost you 50,000 rupees more. If the base variant cost you 2.5 lakh res, original variant cost you 3 lak x showroom and in this original variant you’ll get onboard charger. You will get 10 levels of regenerative braking, four levels of traction control and you’ll get 5 years of standard warranty. So for 50,000 rupees you are getting these additional benefits. So this is all about the original variant. And the third variant is called Raycon. The main difference between original and recon will be the battery pack. In recon you will get top-of-the-line 10.3 kilo battery pack with 323 kilometers IDC range and the Ron variant cost you 50,000 rupees more than original plus variant. The extra room cost of the Rayon variant starts from 3.5 lakh rupees and the next variant is called Rayon plus. So what are all the benefits you got in the original place? That benefits will be applicable to this Raycon plus 2 and for this Rayon plus you have to pay 50,000 extra. The Raycon Plus variant starts from 4 lakh rupees extra room cost. You’ll get 10.3 kilo battery pack, 323 km ID range, onboard charger, 10 levels of regenerative braking, four levels of traction control along with 5 years warranty and you’ll get some knuckle guards and other accessories too. So these are the four variants and the next variant is called wind special edition and that cost you 4.5 lakh rupees extra room that will get all the accessories along with the dash cams on the front as well as rear. So these are the five variants available in this X47. Price starts from 2.5 lakh Res and goes till 4.5 lakh R X showroom. And coming to the warranty as a standard you are getting 3 years or 5 years and if you want to extend you have to pay 40,000 extra that is called UV care max. So in that you will get 8 years or 8 lakh kilometers warranty. So this is all about the ultraviolet X47 electric bike.
