Zeekr Confirms 007GT – 2.9 Second AWD Performance Wagon Coming to Australia!
I love this leather pattern. I absolutely love the color of this leather. It’s like a suede here. There’s been a lot of speculation about whether or not the best looking Zika and possibly one of the best looking cars ever made would come to right-hand drive markets, meaning Thailand, Malaysia, the UK, maybe even Japan, but particularly also Australia where many Australians have been asking for it. Just Google it, you can find it. This is the top listing for this car. Is this car coming to Australia? uh Reddit, is this car coming to Australia? And there’s numerous media articles kind of speculating on this news. I can say firsthand that the Australian CEO has confirmed yes, it is. It is definitely coming to the Australian market. It’s coming to right-hand drive markets. You know what you need to do is contact Zika if you are in a right-hand drive market. Tell them you want this car and if they get enough people, you’ll get it because it’s going to be built in right-hand drive. This will potentially be the fastest station wagon, coupe wagon, shooting brake, whatever you want to call it on the market in Australia. And I for one think this is awesome news. Absolutely fantastic. Hello my friends, welcome to the channel. I’m Sam Evans. You’re watching the Electric Viking. The Zika 0007 GT is a car that I think is incredibly sexy. You’ve got to see it in person. It’s better looking in person than you, you know, honestly, it’s just Yeah, there’s nothing I can really say that kind of justifies my personal thoughts on it because you really do need to experience it. The seats are different. They are really this really beautiful leather that’s kind of crafted, these bucket seats, but not too, you know, not too bolstered, so they’re not going to really dig into your size like some of them do. Anyhow, the new 7 GT was unveiled or shown at the Sydney International EV show, which was about a week ago. I was at the show. I wanted to do a video, and I did do a video, but I wanted to do an overview for you guys at the time, but I couldn’t. I was flying to China that night, and I just haven’t been able to do it until I just arrived back from China today. So, I’m kind of half asleep. Forgive me if I get any details here wrong, but while I was at the show, the CEO came up to me and he said, “I’ve just made the decision. We’re going to do it. It’s happening.” Now, I can tell you that this guy is um very highly ranked. He’s not just the CEO of Australia, but he’s very highly ranked in Zika’s hierarchy in J as well. So, this is going to happen. And um there’s an article on zcar.com that says and this was 2 days ago from today. Um while Zika hasn’t confirmed plans for right-hand drive version, Zikar Australia head of marketing Andrew Herissa indicated the 7GT is under evaluation for the Australian market. That’s actually not correct. Now Andrew did say that but he said that a while ago um and in fact the CEO um of Australia has confirmed uh that the car is coming. It’s not under evaluation. It is coming. So, it was under evaluation. It’s now changed to being confirmed, but unfortunately, it’s not going to be here for a while. It’s got to take them about 12 months to get production happening. They got to build a right-hand drive production line. You need different parts to do that as well. It takes a while. Cars are a pretty big deal to set up in right-hand drive, especially for a niche product like this. But how big is this car? It’s quite long, but it’s not particularly big. In person, it doesn’t look all that big because of the couplike shape. You know, the shooting brake type shape. It’s 4,864 mm long. So, it’s longer than Tesla Model Y. It’s about the same width at 1,900 mm. And the height though is much longer. Uh, I think it’s just such a cool cool car. It’s It’s quite low and it’s 1,445 mm high with the wheelbase being nearly 3 m long though at 2,925 mm. Meaning it’s a little bit longer and wider and lower than a B seal, but it looks Sorry guys, but if you’ve got a seal, they’re cool cars, but this is in a completely different world in terms of style, performance, charging speed, and the platform this car is on. I mean, this thing is just epic, right? And apparently its drag coefficient is 0.198, meaning it’s among the best in the world. Um, yeah, that’s incredibly efficient. Now, that would make sense based on the shape of this car as well. So, what has this car got? Well, the base model comes with a single motor, rear wheel drive, 310 kW, 75 kWh battery. But here’s the thing. Um, Zeke have just updated these updated different models in China, including the car this is built on. This is basically a 7X. It’s built on the same platform as a 7X. It’s a similar car. So, the new 7X has even more power than that. I believe it’s got 350 kW and a 75 kWh lithiumion phosphate battery which is made by Gile. One of the best batteries in the world. It’s the golden brick battery or the Aegis short battery platform. It can charge in the 001. charging speed is 1,300 kW. That’s a 1.3 megawatt charge it can charge on. Now, that’s the 001. I don’t know if this car is going to get that new platform. That’s a new 1,000vt platform. Uh, I don’t know. But anyway, either way, it’ll either get that kind of level of pace and performance, but potential, or it’ll at least have at a minimum um massively fast. It’ll be the fastest charging vehicle or one of them anyway when it comes to the market in 12 months. Anyway, the midspec model, it gets a bigger battery. It’s basically the same motor. It’s real drive of course. It gets a bigger battery. It’s a 100 kWh battery from CL and it provides 825 km of CLTC range. So, 700 km plus. That’ll be more than 700 km of WLTP range, plus the fastest charging car on the market. Uh, plus it’s incredibly powerful. Now, the 7X has just been updated. It had 47 Well, the current model on sale in Australia has 475 kW, but it’s just been updated in China in a couple of months time. People will be able to buy the new version with 585 kilowatt. The existing version has 475. So, I would assume that this will get that upgrade in China by the time it goes on sale. That’ll be 12 months from now. And I’m going to guess that this will have the same 580 kW. If it does, it’ll be much faster than the existing version. There’s the existing version of this car, all-wheel drive, 475 kW, and it’ll do 0 to 100 in 2.84 seconds. Now, assuming it does get the upgrade as the 7X does, then it’ll be able to do 0100 in probably about 2.5 seconds, meaning it will be easily uh far and away the fastest wagon/ coupe shooting brake available in Australia. And I’m going to guess it won’t be the same kind of insane prices you’re looking at for something like an Audi RS6, uh, which what do they cost? More than $200,000 Australian dollars. It’ll be much more affordable than that, that’s for sure. Now currently it has an 800vt architecture which is capable of charging from 10 to 80% in 10.5 minutes. Um so yeah it can charge at 450 kW. Currently in Australia but in China I believe the charging speed is much faster than that. What would be the pricing? Well okay in in China the price for the base model is $44,000 Australian. So it’s just under $30,000. All right. the midspec with that 100 kWh battery and it gets a few more extra features as well. That’s $48,000 Australian which is about about $30,000. And the all drive version is $56,000 Australian actually $56,800 and that’s what that’s about $37,000. But you can add 20% to those numbers. So, you’d be looking at probably the base model might come in at around $60,000 and the allhe drive performance might come in at potentially about $85,000 estimate. $85,000, right? For a car like this capable of doing 0 to 100 in 2.5 seconds and charging the battery in 10 minutes, what else is there on the market like this? There is nothing. Nothing. There is literally nothing at all. So, this may be a niche car, but if you want a car like this, and I think there’s a lot of people that do, and that’s why they’re going to sell it, because they’ve had so many people ask for it, and look at Google. Look at all the people searching for this thing, saying, “Is it coming? Is it coming?” Um, it’s got a market to itself. There’s nothing in the segment. So, I think it’s going to sell really, really well. Now, to give you a comparison, the 7GT, um, it’s just a little bit more expensive. It’s about It’s about 10% more expensive than the 7X in China. So, add a 10% premium to the prices of this car in Australia. That’s going to give you a pretty good idea of what it’s going to cost. Um, now that you got all that information, I should also mention the base model in China is $27,000. So, this is the updated version. Now, going off information when this car was updated in August, but I’m going to guess it’ll be updated again probably in a few months time. Um, it came with it comes with an active air intake in the front bumper, a slanted bonnet line. It’s got a LAR sensor on the roof, which won’t come to Australia. It’s also got retractable door handles, roof racks, and a kind of a rear spoiler on the back. And it’s actually 104 mm longer than an Audi A4 All-road. It gives you kind of an idea on the size. Now guys, I sat in this car and the interior is it is fantastic. It’s got a 15.4 in touchscreen as do many cars. Uh an ovalshaped LCD instrument cluster which kind of fits nicely on the dash. It’s also got a really cool 35.5 in augmented reality heads-up display and an AI powered voice assistant with apparently 200 functions. Plus, it gets basically the same steering wheel as the 7X gets, but the car’s center tunnel does get the center console gets some physical buttons and an interesting compartment. It’s also got a fridge, plus it’s got a like a storage space on top of the fridge. That’s where the center console goes. Now, of course, I’m going to guess that the fridge will be an optional extra, so it’s probably not going to come standard, but it does have two 50W wireless phone chargers, and it’s got speakers in the headrest, which are pretty cool. It’s got a large panoramic sunroof, which apparently blocks 99.99% of UV rays. And it’s got a cover for that sunroof. It’s like an automatic adjustment. Very, very similar cover to what you get in the 7X. The seats are covered with 1.42 square m of Nappa leather. So that’s part of the reason why the price a little bit higher. Again, those Nappa leather seats, which I’ve got to say are absolutely fantastic. Now, there is actually four color options for the interior, and the one that I sat in was red. And I I’ve got to say, I’m not a fan of red interiors, but the red interior on this was it was brilliant. It’s like not a bright red. It’s like a maroon type of red, and it really really works. I really really liked it. So anyway, four interior colors. There is also a massage seat. So the seats have massage and there’s also 36 storage spaces inside the cabin. It has places for fastening skis and other equipment. And the roof racks can handle 150 kilos. Apparently with the trunk um folded, it has 1,737 L of space. I think it’s got about 500 L of boot space um with the seats up. In terms of the actual system power, it’s got dual Nvidia drive orin X chips for computing power of a total of 508 tops, which is actually pretty good. It’s also got automatic emergency braking, general automated evasion system called GA AES and a map free navigate on autopilot function. In addition to that, it’s got really good brakes to handle that power. Um the wagon the allhe drive version gets 380 mm Brembo brakes which enable it to stop from 0 to 100 or 100 km to zero I should say in 34.4 m. So it can stop very very quickly. If you want to charge another EV for example if your friend he runs out of battery you can charge another EV at 60 kW. This car can put out 60 kW to charge another EV. I don’t know how that’s possible but I mean this is as far as I know there’s no other cars with that. In addition, it gets the Magic Car air suspension system and the CCD continuous damper control system that Zika 7X gets, too. So, yeah, guys, for me, this is um a bit of a dream car, and I’m excited to see Zika are going to bring it to Australia. This is great news. What do you guys think? Are you Are you excited? Are you Is this the kind of car you’d consider? I mean, a lot of people at the show were just blown away looking at this thing. They’re thinking, “This is a vehicle that’s so different to all the other electric SUVs on the market. There’s so many electric SUVs now, but there’s only one real performance wagon, and this is it. Thanks for watching. [Music]
