Kingbull Hunter 2.0 Ebike Review |UPGRADES | Can it Climb in the SNOW & MUD?

All right, we got something exciting for you guys. It’s right here. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Okay, guys. Let’s go over the cockpit of the Kingbull Hunter 2.0. First thing we got to do is turn on the battery switch. And you hit your power button. Turn on your display. There she is. Nice and bright. Over here we have headlights. And we have a horn. And over here on the right side, we have our seven-speed mono shifter and a half twist throttle along with your Zoom hydraulic brakes. If we hit our positive and negative as this takes us through the pedal assist, of course, one through five. And if we just tap our power button, we’re on odometer. We go to trip. We go to voltage, which is awesome. Then we go to time. And then we go to amperage, which is also awesome. Then back to odometer. Now, to get into your menu, just hold your plus and minus. takes us into our P settings. The first one’s your brightness, and it’s on automatic currently. Goes one through four. Second one is your units. You can change this one, but we’re going to leave ours on mile per hour. Third is your voltage. You can’t change that. Fourth one is your display time. You can change that. Fifth one, you cannot change. Sixth one is tire size, you cannot change. Seventh is magnets and you cannot change. Eighth is your top speed, which is already set to top speed. So, we’re going to leave that alone. Nine, I’m not sure. Rest of these, I’m not sure what they are. So, we are just going to leave this as it is out of the box and ride it today. All right. And hold your uh plus and minus to get back out or just let it time out. Now, you’re back to the main screen. All right, guys. Here it is. This is the new upgraded Kingbull Hunter 2.0 and it has some really cool upgrades on this guys. One of the first ones you guys are going to like is the Zoom hydraulic brakes. 180 mm rotors with Zoom hydraulic brakes. These are good brakes on this guys. We got an upgraded saddle on this. One of the huge upgrades is this Buffang 750 W rear hub motor. Should be nice and strong. Um, I definitely like the B thing. I believe this one peaks at 1100 watts. We also have upgraded front suspension. The front forks are the Mos now and it’s upgraded. And we also have upgraded display on this one. We have a new display which did allow me to go in here to the P settings P 08 guys. You can go in there and the password is 1 0 1 0 for upgrading your top speed on this. We are going to try out top speed, see what this bike can do. It’s going to be pulling a 230 lb dude, guys. So, we’ll see what the top speed will be with that heavy of a rider. We also have an upgraded strengthened frame on this one, guys. It’s aluminum frame, but it has been the welds and such have been upgraded, and it’s supposed to be a stronger bike all around. And we got CST tires, 26×4 tires on this, too. Everything about this bike is really nice. It’s still a lightweight bike. Um, but it’s it and fairly narrow this way, but it is stronger. So, I’m looking forward to getting out on this ride. We have a nice wide uh rear rack on this as well. Nice bright tail lights and a beautiful headlight on this one. One of my favorite headlights right there. Nice bright headlight. Plastic fenders, which I actually prefer. Keeps the noise down and the weight down. 15 amp hour battery. So, we’re going to take this out and we’re going to see what it does out here on the road, guys. It’s going to be a two-part video. First part’s out here and not so cold. Is cold today, but not snowing and such yet. And they do want me to do a little review on this in the snow. So, what we’re going to do with the second part of the video once we have snow is we’re going to climb this hill. This is a 26.8% grade, guys, which is pretty steep. And we’re going to see if this Buffang motor on these CST BFT tires here will get us up that hill and uh just with a rear hub motor. That’ll be interesting, right? It’s either going to happen or I’m going to wipe out. So either way, it should be entertaining. All right, guys. We’re going to take this on the road. We’re going to show you the basic uh aspects of this bike. We’re going to go down the bike trail for a while, take it up one of the hills, and then that’ll be the end of the first part of the video. Second part will be in the snow. So, turn this back on here, guys. It’s a nice bright display. Can see it with your UV glasses, which is great. Going to go ahead and put on this so we can test it with speed. You cannot change the tire size on this, guys. Got a little dust on there. So, we’re going to see if uh is accurate or how accurate it is with the GPS. The handlebars are nice and wide. Your distance from here to here is a little narrow, so I hope you can see the display and stuff pretty good. All right. We’re about to take off here. Got road construction going down the road. Put her in pedal assist 5. If you can’t see the display, I’m going to call stuff out for you. Right now, we’re just throttling. Then I’m going to pedal. Shift it up here to seven. Okay. about 25 up the up to the peak of that hill. All right, guys. That was kind of downhill there, so we can’t judge that. We’re going to go a straightaway here. Test top speed. These cars get by, we’re going to take off. Okay, here we go. See what we can get to top speed. Just going to pedal this first portion. [Applause] Starting to ghost pedal about 27. [Applause] Display says 30. Pedal GPS at 288. So, pedaling top speed was 288 and uh the screen showed 30. So, it’s off a little bit. All right, let’s shift this down here some. And we’re going to take this down to pedal assist one and check out our see when the power kicks in here, guys. How many rotations? A half. 3/4. Yeah, just between 3/4 and one. Pedal assist one appears to be like about just under 10. Just under 10 mph. About 10. There we go. You got to put quite a bit of your own leg into that. Pedal assist one. Let’s try two. You feel a big big boost kick in which is nice. Strong buffing motor. Takes just about 14. There’s some sunshine on my shoulders. It does make me happy and it don’t make me cry. It’s beautiful out here still, guys, but it’s getting cold for the rides. I’m winding down my season. Um, just got a couple rides left after this and then we’re going to pause the ebike reviews until March it starts warming back up again. These old bones don’t like the cold like they used to, guys. All right, so pedal assist three. Another nice boost. We’re just pedaling here. And it takes us to about 182. Just just a mild pedal. So, it’s just right around 18. Display shows 19. So, it’s off a little bit. Like I say, you can’t change that. So, you just got to live with it. Nice to have a GPS app on if you’re concerned about your speeds. We’ll get past the stop sign and we’ll check out pedal assist 4. All right. So, one thing I do know, as soon as you pedal it, it it stops the throttle, guys. So, it’s one or the other with this one. Okay. It’s kicker four. Four was just a little gentler uh boost. Wasn’t as strong as the other two, but it definitely is climbing. I’m still just my odd pedal here. About 23. Display shows 24.2. Okay, let’s kick her to five. Got some people on up here. So, it looks like we already did top speed with five. That got me to 288. We’ll see what it does on the bike on the bike trail here. We’ll get past these people. One thing I’m noticing is I got quite a bit of uh voltage sag going on here. So, it should that’s popping back up as I stop pedaling now. All right, I am going to have to raise my seat up some, guys. Get a little better little better stroke here. So, I’m going to stop for a second. So, now that we’ve unlocked the top speed, let’s uh see if throttle is tied to pedal assist. And it is. So, you can use your throttle like a cruise control. One is stopping me at 9.1. two just throttle is taking me to 13.8 137 three pedal assist three that is nice little boost throttle taking me to 18.2 Two, four. Oh, it almost feels like it’s Yeah. So, it’s still uh it’s still holding you to uh under 20, guys. So, even though we unlocked it, the throttle is still only going up to about for me 18 something. I’m 230 lbs. For you, it’s probably around 20. Okay. So, we’ll go ahead and try top speed again. Now that we’re on a flatter surface, probably have to get up here past the stop sign first. All right, let’s go ahead and try her again. Pedal assist five, seventh gear. Just pedaling. Ghost. Starting to ghost pedal now. Just feel a little bit of tension. Not much at all. [Applause] I got 30. What is there? A deer up here, guys. There’s a deer right here’s a deer. How you doing, lady? Where you going? There she goes. Oh, that was a male. That’s a little buck. Well, guys, we did go over 30. We’ll try one more time up here. It’s a little bit flatter surface, apparently. We got to get around all these corners. And we’ll try a top speed one more time. But we did get over 30. Then I got sidetracked by the deer. Yeah, you’ll notice we’re down. It’s showing three bars, but it pops right back up when you stop pedaling. Those of you who like sitting upright, you’re going to like this bike. It forces it forces you into an upright position because of the seating position. Now, if you’re taller, you’ll probably have to lean over for the handlebars. These are not adjustable stems here. It’s not adjustable stem. You can put one on it. So, you can bring these up higher. Bike corners really nicely, guys. It’s a really super lightweight bike, so you can move it around real nice. We’re going to try top speed one more time after this corner. Now, keep in mind, I am 230 lbs. And we are almost four miles into the ride now. Here we go. Here we go. Still feel the tension at 28. It’s It’s just kind of light. All right, guys. I got the 30.5. Like I say, I am 230 lb. So, if you’re lighter rider, you are going to go faster. it was not uh governing me. It’s just that that’s all that’s all the motor had in conjunction with the controller and battery, which that’s plenty fast enough in my opinion. We’re going to take her up here to the uh bridge, get some pictures, take another good look at it, and then we’ll do a little hill climbing. Stop over here. All right. Okay, it’s showing four bars. 51.6. So, it does have voltage and amperage on it, which is nice. So, even though we had voltage sag, it did come back up. So, we’re showing four bars, which is common. So, let’s go ahead and shut her off for now. See if it comes back a little bit. Going to go ahead and get some pictures. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Music] Okay, guys. So, what do I think of it so far? Uh, seems like it’s got pretty good torque. We’re about to test out the climbing power. We’re going to take her up to Sasquatch territory. Anyhow, you know, we got the uh Shimano 7-speed freewheel here. We have a Shimano Turney derailer. It does come with a derailer guard. I just didn’t put it on. It comes separate. Has a nice size chain ring on it. Nice wide pedals. 15 amp hour battery on this one, guys. We got a nice wide drag. 26×4 CST BFTD uh fat tires on this one, which I do like. Um, we got the Zoom hydraulic brakes which seem to be working really well with the 180 mm rotors. Nice, uh, stiffened up frame on this one as well. We got that new display. We got half twist throttle, 7-speed Shimano shifter. Uh, that’s my phone holder, my bell, my mirror I put on all these. All those accessories will be down in the description as well. It’s got a nice wide handlebar on it, which I do like. probably some of you are going to want to put an adjustable stem on this so you can bring it up or down according to your height. Saddle seems fine on it, guys. It’s more of a mountain bikes uh style saddle on it. Um and then we have these upgraded Mozo uh front end hydraulic shocks on this one, which seem to be doing quite well, too. And this nice headlight, which I do like. So, we’re going to take this up the hill here, guys. See how this thing climbs with that Buffang 750 W rear hub motor on this one. Should be nice and strong. We’re going to find out. Climbing this hill. Let’s do it right now. I’m saying it’s waiting. Okay, so we’re back up showing five bars or four. Yeah, five bars again, guys. And let’s see if the voltage changed on it. Should have 51.9 volts. It’s It’s showing, which is normal. This is normal for 48 volt bike. Um, it’s usually around 51 52 volts, but by the time I get down here, the bridge, we’ve went 4.3 miles so far. So, we are going to take this up the hill. Pedal says four. And I’m going to just throttle it first. See how it does throttling and then we’ll kick in the pedal if it needs to be. Here we go. Climbing the hill to climb two sections. This is the first part. Then we’ll go up the steeper part as well. Okay. I’m feeling it. Uh the speed go down here. It gets down around eight or nine. We’ll start pedaling. Okay, let’s just go ahead and get rid of the throttle and just start pedaling here. We are going to have to shift down. Okay, that feels better. I’m in gear four at the moment and it’s climbing the speed now. No problems at all pedaling up this big hill, guys, with this single hub, the fang motor. So, it is indeed a belly goat. Yes, s don’t want to go over that edge. Squatch, can you hear me? Got to do that with your fingers, guys. But they won’t come running. Of course, I’ve never had one come running yet, but you never know. It’s how you got to do it. All right, we’re going to keep a steady pedal up the second portion of the hill, guys, which is steeper and farther. So, we’ll just keep a steady pedal going. Right now, I’m in gear five. Probably have to shift down. Actually, climbed in speed to about right now. Now, this bike is under $1,000, guys. So, keep that in mind, you know, when you’re looking at what you have available. Okay, we shift to the four. Give her quite a bit of my own leg here. Let’s go ahead and take her to three. I think that’s going to do just fine. We’re going to make it to the top. All right, guys. Yep, we climbed right up there. Okay, we’re going to head head back down the hill. We’re going to check out these zoom brakes. They feel quite nice. Yep, they feel great. Nothing wrong with those at all. All right, guys. Since we’re not going around the full route today, we’re going to stop over here. Look over this cliff. Hopefully not fall down it. Park this bike right here just for a second. Yeah, let’s park it going uphill, guys. Let’s park it going uphill. that car coming. You guys see over this hill here. I better park it up here a little closer. We’ll walk back a little bit. It’s a little wider right here. So, all right. Just walk down here and show you what kind of hill we just climbed. Check this out. You don’t want to fall off this edge. Go down here to the scarier part, guys. Yeah, you don’t want to go off right here. That’d be the end of Pawpaw. That’s what we just climbed. So, some would call this a mountain. Some call it a big hill. Just don’t call it late for supper is all I got to say. But that is very steep. I don’t know if you can tell by the GoPro, but that is straight down right there. So, that’s why I say we’re heading up to Sasquatch territory. And usually we go around yonder, but this is a two-part video. Second part’s going to be during the winter, guys. During the snow of winter, we’re going to see how this bike does climbing Paul’s hills in the snow. We’ll see what the road conditions are like during that time. We may take it down the road, too. I don’t know. But for now, we’re going to head home. That’s all we got to do for this. She definitely is a billy goat. She can climb the hills. And we’re back to four bars. So, the boulder sag just goes right away. I mean, you notice it while you’re riding, but it goes away immediately when you let off the gas. Not the gas, silly, but the electricity. Yes, sir. This is an electric bike. Anywh who, we’re just going to head back now and uh rest of the video will basically be about how she does in the snow. But I’m going to leave you recording for now just in case something cool happens like that deer we had. We had that deer happen on the bike trail. That’s uncommon on the bike trail, guys. But that buck, he was running from something. He looked like he was limping. I’m not sure which what se season it’s in right now. Boy, we hit that loose gravel. You got to watch out for that, guys. You hit that loose gravel and you’ll be seeing if you like riding your bike upside down on your back instead of on your tires. Papa don’t like to ride them on his back as well as he does on his tires. I know cuz I’ve tried that already. And it’s not very fun. All right, we’re still able to hit 28. That’s after 6.8 miles against the wind. I’m glad we got to see a deer. Anyhow, guys, we got all kinds of critters around here. We got squirrels and chipmunks, beavers. Well, no, we ain’t got no beavers. We do have muskrats, turtles, bullfrogs, Tyrannosaurus Rexes. Well, not this time of year now. Not going to see any Tyrannosaurus Rexes this time of year now. No, we got critters all over the place, though. Anyhow, you’re going to get some exercise on this bike as well, guys. It does take a little effort to pedal it. It doesn’t just give you all power and no pedal. You You actually can feel your pedaling along with it. So, they’ve got it set up pretty nice. Probably the only thing I’d like to see him put put on this is a little bigger battery. 15 amp hour batteries for what Papa does. This barely gets me around my shorter routes, guys. Cuz I have 230 lb. And I like to go fast. Look at this bridge. She is a beautiful bridge. That down somebody fishing. Yeah, there’s somebody fishing. So, we’ll take her back to the house and we’ll go up the hill. See how she does when there’s no snow. There you go. It’s like about 16 163 is the lowest. just climbing that hill, which puts it right where it should be as far as rear hubs go. Shift her down. Boy, that skunk stinks. [Music] I take her off road here a little bit, guys. See how she feels off-roading. Get up on my pedals a little bit. Yeah, there’s no suspension in the back. So, but the suspension in front feels pretty good. All right. I forgot I You can’t throttle in pedal because if you’re going over 20, it just stops you. So, if you’re going to pedal, you got to pedal. If you’re going to throttle, you got to throttle. That’s what All right, guys. Woke up this morning and have this on the ground. This is like the slipperiest snow that you’re going to see because it’s wet and it’s melting. And we’re going to see if the Kingbull Hunter 2.0 upgraded version can get us up this 26.8% grade snow here up this hill. I’m going to do my best to try to record this because I’m doing it by myself, guys. So, hopefully it comes out okay. But I want to see if I can keep from slipping down the hill here cuz I’ve already slipped a few times out in this stuff. I certainly don’t recommend you doing this unless you absolutely have to. But what we want to know is can these bikes with these knobbyby tires in rear hub get us up something that’s that steep? 26.8% 8% grade, guys. It’s really steep and it’s covered in the slipperiest snow you’re going to see. And you can see how we’re already packed with snow in the tires. But Papa’s going to throw on his deer gloves and we’re going to see if we can do this without wiping out, guys. That’s going to be the trick. Can I do it without wiping out? Straight up the hill. We’ll throttle it first, but if we need help pedaling, we’ll pedal it. Are you ready? Here we go. It’s doing it. Whoa, it’s slippery. had a pedal with it. Of course, that’s a really steep hill. Let’s just go through the yard a little bit and see how she does on more level ground. Oh, it’s pulling through like nothing. Like I say, this is real slippery stuff, guys. Now, watch your corners. All right, we’re going to go again. Let’s go again. You have to get a little better run this time. She did it. Maybe I can feel it slip just a little bit, but it wasn’t bad. So guys, can the King Bull Hunter 2.0 0 upgraded version take you out in the snow if you’re hunting or something of that sort or if you have to get to work something you absolutely have to do. My track says it can. And if you guys know anything about uh Ohio this time of year, um this is just slippery. This is like like being on ice with this kind of snow. It’s just a light dusting over top of the grass and it’s muddy. Look at that. And that bike pulled me right up here. I went up there twice, no problems at all. Ran through the yard there. Didn’t have any issues. You get more compact snow, you won’t it won’t be as bad. You know, when it’s a little more powdery and things of that sort, not so slippery, but this still took me up. It surprised me. Anyhow, that’s it. Hunter 2.0 out. There she is. There is the Kingbull Hunter 2.0 O with all of its upgrades, guys. Got the Buffang 750 W rear hub motor. We have nice wide chain ring. Looks like at least a 48T. Uh Shimano 7-speed freewheel on the back of this one. Shimano turn derailer. Does have a derailer guard they ship with it. You can put on nice wide rear uh rack on the back of this one. It’s got really good bright tail lights on that. Let’s go ahead and look at the headlights. There’s your headlight. Nice and bright even in the daytime. There’s our tail light. Check out the brakes. Brake lights. Brake lights on. Brake lights off. Brake lights on. Brake lights off. Nice bright brakes. You got the Zoom hydraulic brake levers and Zoom hydraulic brakes on the 180 mm rotors. 15 amp hour battery. I believe this is UL rated, guys, according to the website. You have to check it out to make sure. Uh 15 amp hour. 48 volt. Same way. 48 volt rear hub motor on this one. The frame has been reinforced, they say. Um we got the different display on this now. Whether you consider that an upgrade or not, that’s up to you. Got the half twist throttle, 7-speed Shimano shifter on this one. Um, and we have these MozO front fork um, suspension on this one, which felt pretty good going down the hill, guys. I didn’t have any problems with that at all. CST, BFT, 26×4 fat tires. I like the CSTs, guys. So, they did some upgrades on this that I really like. They also have wide pedals on this. The seat is a mountain bike style seat, and it doesn’t feel too bad. Of course, I didn’t go very far. I went just under 10 miles today. So, you know, it feels all right on my He knew so far, but I didn’t notice any other issues with it. That’s my uh mirror. That’s my bail. That’s my phone holder on this one. All those links will be down in the description as well as down in the description will also be a link to this ebike and a discount code as well as in my comments for this one as well, guys. So, check down there if you want to get a good price on this. It’s already priced under $1,000, but you might as well save even a little bit more money. You don’t want to spend a whole lot of money on any bike, but you still want to get some decent parts. Bam. Here’s a bike for you guys. KingB Hunter 2.0. Nice bike.
