2026 Lynk and Co 02 EV Review | Stylish and Fully Electric
This is not the first time we’re going to feature a Lincoln code02 on our Auto Deal YouTube channel. In fact, we have a walk around of this vehicle where we show you some of its features and give you our first impressions. But now, it’s time to tell you what it’s like out in the real world. And I got to say, it’s got some substance to its style. [Music] [Music] First things first is power. You’ve got an electric motor that powers the rear wheels. Juice is supplied by a 66 kWh battery. Now, that battery and the motor have a claimed range of 435 km, which is pretty darn good. Now, you can charge the vehicle via a fast charger, a DC charger of up to 150 kW. Now, if you do, you can get from 10 to 80% in just 30 minutes, which is quite rapid. Rapid 2 is the vehicle itself because it’s got 268 horses and 343 new m of torque. And boy, does it move, which we’ll get to a little bit later. The design of the Link and Co.02 is one of its highlights. The front clip is unmistakably Lincoln and Co. With the split lighting configuration and its silhouette, it exudes a very futuristic charm. Over at the rear, the tail lamps are mesmerizing with a unique light bar stretching the width of the car and also serving as a duct tail for aerodynamics. Again, style and substance. The wheels, okay, aren’t the best. Other Lincoln Co. cars we’ve seen always had greatl looking wheels, but it’s not exactly the case now. It does have a healthy 191 mm of ground clearance, so clearing any bumps and imperfections around town will be no issue. The 02 does have 350 L of space. Now, that does sound substantial, but really to maximize it, you need to remove the toenote to fit a Balikbayan box in there. However, thankfully the rear seats do fold flat and you can fit another two bulk bayan boxes in there and still have space for your overnight luggage. And then if you need even more space, there’s some found underneath. It is like this because well, it does have a sloping roof line and that would obviously diminish the amount of space that you have in total. And if that’s still not enough, well, you do have a frunk. It ain’t much actually. It’s just about 15 L of space, but it is good enough for your home charging kit, which fits snugly right there. By the way, uh there are a couple of things that we might ruin for you in this video, namely Easter eggs. It’s always nice to buy a car and then find the Easter eggs yourselves, but this time around, we’re going to point it out to you. Like, first of all, this thing’s got jokes. So the next time an enforcer flags you down for coding and he doesn’t believe you, just show him that. And lastly, this car is very safe. It’s got a lot of ADAS, a lot of airbags, and it also has MTP technology on its batteries to prevent it from exploding or catching on smoke or fire in extreme conditions. It also has a heart every time you step into the car. a quite clean and simple really in the interior of the 0ero2. Much like the frameless doors that we have, it’s really really nice. It scares me though, but it’s just I love looking at frameless doors. They look just absolutely so cool. Okay, this is not exactly my normal driving position. It’s at its welcome driver position, which means the seat moves for the driver to get in and out much easier. But even in the welcome position, I still have a decent amount of leg room. Headroom is very good, even though I have a panoramic glass on top of me. Uh, but it’s quite comfortable. You sit quite low, which is what allows you to get a lot of headroom really. Uh, toys back here include two charging points, a small little parcel hook, bottle holders on either door, and uh, cup holders here in the center armrest. Now, because this car is essentially a Volvo, the air vents won’t be located here in the center. They’re actually at the B-pillar, which is really, really cool. And because safety is paramount, um I I don’t know if I mentioned this, but to get in and out of the vehicle, you use a button to press outside or inside the car, much like this this button right here. But in the case of an emergency, the door handles outside can be lifted. And also there is a hatch here that you can just pop up to open the door in case of emergencies. Modern solutions for modern what’s that saying? Modern problems. Modern problems. Modern solutions. That thing. The driver’s seat of the 02 much better. You have a wonderfully designed dashboard. Um, you have ambient lights that sort of like mimic an infinity mirror of sorts. The seat material and material of everything in here actually is a pretty good choice. And because it’s a Lincoln Co, as with other Lincoln Co, it’s mostly made of sustainable materials, which I think is really nice. Driving position is really good in here. Also, the steering wheel is telescopic. The seats are ventilated and powered. You can easily get into your driving position. Plus, the instrument cluster is in a shape and size so that it’s never impeded by the steering wheel, which is very good. The infotainment screen is massive, as you can see. It’s 15.4 in. It has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that is hooked up to a Harman Cardon system, which actually sounds pretty good. It also doubles as your reverse camera and your around view monitor. Unfortunately, the screen is also where some of this car’s drawbacks are. So, like I said, space is absolutely great in here. You’ve got lots of storage space. You’ve got cubby holes here in the center. You have a center armrest with a little bit more cubby space. This even moves for your arms. You have your wireless charging here with put your phones. But unfortunately, because of this minimalist design, you have an absence of physical controls. So, meaning your temperature and air controls are all in there. Even your drive modes are deep in there and it’s kind of cumbersome to get to. And because the screen is so big, sometimes it’s a little bit difficult to get to these things. Now, I don’t want to end on a note of a Debbie Downer, but the beautiful panoramic roof that we have on top is great, but everybody knows during Philippine summers it can get warm. The beauty about it is is that Lincoln and Co. supplies you with a car shape. Thanks, Lincoln Co., you really do care. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] We’ve known Lincoln Coast to be very smooth when it comes to the driving, more so in this 02 because this, unlike the other Lincoln Coast, is a full EV. So, the power gets down very seamlessly. It’s an onoff switch kind of a thing. you get the power down almost immediately. Also, the fact that the cabin is very, very serene and the suspension is great, which is probably helped by the fact that because it’s a full EV, you’ve got more weight inside this car thanks to the batteries. But just because it has all that weight doesn’t mean it’s a slouch. Oh, no. No. This thing does have 268 horses and how much torque, Jack? 343. 343 Newton meters of torque. So, inside this car, we can actually do the AU. Oh, no. Wait, I’m not ready. Huh? Okay. Huh. Okay. Chew. [Applause] The cabin, as I already said, it’s it’s built well. It feels good to the touch and it’s very serene. It’s very quiet. And I can just imagine after a long day of work and you already realize that you’re going to be stuck in hell traffic on the way home. This somehow makes it not so sucky because when you get inside, you can start to somewhat relax, calm down because it’s so quiet and peaceful and just really easy to drive. It’s It’s almost like you’re looking forward to traffic. Almost. I didn’t say you are. I just said almost. Plus, if you want to bellow out your music as if you were Pavarotti, the Harmon Cardon system in here is actually pretty darn good. If you were to take this car out of the city, apart from your daily drive and you wanted to, you know, vacation for a bit, um, the range of 435 km is more than enough. Plus, thanks to the infrastructure, there’s going to be a lot more charging stations available to you whether you’re traveling north or south. And when you do take some of the twisties when you get out to the provinces, it handles very, very well. The steering wheel has good weight to it. It’s well weighted and the suspension handles pretty darn well, too. I would also like to reiterate the point about the steering. It’s not too light as what you would expect from some EVs at this price point. It’s well weighted. Uh there’s a good communication from the driver or rather from the road to the driver and it doesn’t feel like that the car is going going to get away from you. Unlike other EVs at this price point where it kind of feels a little floaty and a little too light, this one’s got good weight to it. And now on to a very important point that we totally did not forget to do at the very beginning of this video. like it’s intentional that we put it to, you know, just anticipation. Jack and I don’t make mistakes. Excitement. We create excitement in the same way that a wizard is never late. No, he arrives when he’s meant to and we say things. Yeah. Okay, fine. whip out the auto deal app available on iOS and Android and it will tell you that the 02 starts at 1,788,000 Philippine pesos and then tops out at 1,988,000 Philippine pesos. Now, I’m pretty sure there’s a good number of you either going really close to your phone right now or basking away from it because the price is kind of catching you off guard, but hear me out. This is more affordable than a base Tesla Model Y, which I feel it’s actually really very close to. Granted, the Tesla does have a little bit more space at the rear, but I feel it has just as much character, great drive, and I’ll add that it has a lot more nicities inside the car than that of the Tesla. For instance, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. And the ADAS of this car works better in this country because well the Tesla’s cameras don’t work so good in this country. And then if you go the other way of the spectrum in terms of price, let’s say for example you get the AT2 3, I’d argue very easily that this does drive a heck of a lot better. To reel it back in just a little bit, it does have caveats in the form of no physical control buttons, right? You have to dive into the infotainment system and then the cargo space isn’t really the best in its class. But what this car does have is that it oozes with style inside and out. And it has a fantastic drive, too. A lot more engaging than well, other EVs at this price point. If you don’t believe us, autodeal app, dealer closest to you, test drive, you know the drill. Lynk and Co has been pushing out banger after banger, and the 02 ticks a heck of a lot of boxes for us as car reviewers.
