Test Track Surfaces: Cold Weather Trials & Lessons

Here’s a quick rundown of the test track specs. It’s a 2 km circle loop connected to a 1 km straight stretch in the shape of a P. Right now, we’re adding a 400 meter section of reclaim ashvalt. And we’re hoping that it’s going to pack up and turn into a really hard surface similar to ashalt so we can do skid tests and brake tests to hopefully pass the MBSS without actually getting ashold put down. It’s pretty cold out. Not sure how this reclaim stuff is going to work out, but we’re going to give it a shot. And if not, it’s a good base layer.

We push Electric Truck innovation with real-world test track action!

We’re building a two-kilometer loop and laying down a 400-meter reclaimed asphalt stretch for critical skid and brake tests, aiming for CMVS certification without standard asphalt.

See how our Canadian team faces cold weather and tough conditions to create a hard-packed, winter-ready surface and take electric trucks to the next level.
