2025 Omoda C9 Plug in Hybrid| 440kW| This Chinese SUV is very powerful!

Welcome back to Fumi015 RPM. Today I’m reviewing another special vehicle. This one is the 2025 Omora C9 plug-in hybrid. I have recently reviewed the newly launched Cherry Tug 9 plug-in hybrid. The JU J8 is heading to South Africa. All of these cars that I’ve mentioned here are from the same platform. They are based on one another. Or should we say the Cherry Tug 9 and the JU J8 are based on the Omra C9 since the Omra C9 is the one that came before. That is all because Omora and Ju are subsidiary brands of Cherry International. If you look carefully, there’s a correlation between Cherry vehicles as well as those Omoras and Jus. Today’s focus is going to be on the Omra C9 plug-in hybrid. It is such an exciting car. I tell you right now, in this video, I’m going to review the Omra C9 plug-in hybrid. I’ll talk about the exterior and interior features, engine figures, as well as the price. If there is something that I didn’t normally do when I review the plug-in hybrid vehicles, it has to do with explaining what a plug-in hybrid is. Before we even go further, I want to explain what a plug-in hybrid is. This is going to be crucial for those who don’t know what a plug-in hybrid is. If you’re new to the channel, welcome to Fumi015 RPM. If you are an old subscriber, thank you for watching my videos. Once again, I really appreciate your time and effort. Fumi015 RPM is a YouTube channel dedicated to giving you the best car reviews. I present to you by the name Fumi. I am a former sales executive at BB Motors. If you simply want to be a smart shopper in the vehicle industry, you are in the right direction. Thank you for tuning in and please don’t forget to subscribe. By definition, a plug-in hybrid is a vehicle that combines a traditional internal combustion engine with an electric motor and a large rechargeable battery that can be charged by plugging into an external power source. They are known as PHEVs. In short, they use an electric motor for power and have an all electric range for shorter trips. This is normally around 150 km. And around those shorter trips, they produce zero tail pipe emissions. When the batteries charge is depleted, the vehicle will now move to operate as a normal hybrid. It will now combine the gasoline engine and the electric motor. Just like a normal electric vehicle, this one can also be charged at a household or a public charging stations. When you buy these vehicles, they come with a charging cable. Because these ones are not fully electric vehicles, you should never worry about running out of power on longer journeys. And that is because of the presence of the gasoline engine. The benefits of driving the overall hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and electric vehicles is that they contribute with cleaner air. So, there is less air pollution with this kind of vehicles. Now, this will make sense as I review the power figures of the Omra C9 plug-in hybrid. I will have to start with the engine figures so you don’t get lost. The Omora C9 plug-in hybrid is a 1.5 L turbo petrol 4-cylinder engine that will produce 440 kW of power and 915 Newton m of torque. If you think the VW Golf 8R is powerful on the road, this Omra C9 plug-in hybrid is two times that power. This car is powered by a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission. On the electric motoring, the Omora C9 plug-in hybrid will average around 150 km of distance. When you combine the internal combustion engine and electric motor, you are supposed to travel 1,100 km. When it is fully charged, you are supposed to average around 1.4 L in 100 km on full consumption. From the definition of a plug-in hybrid, does it make sense now that we are speaking about the Omra C9? Let me know in the comment section right now. As we proceed, this Ommora C9 has got seven different driving profiles. It is the likes of eco, normal, sport, snow, mud, sand, and off-road. That is all because this one is an all-wheel drive. I actually got to drive this car a bit. It was not on the road, but around the dealership. Basically, the experience was not bad. And when I say it was not bad, I’m not talking about the car. I’m speaking in the way that I would have loved to drive on the road. But anyway, it was a test drive event for potential clients. I should book a test drive myself to review this one on the road. During the drive, I cannot say anything about acceleration. That is because I couldn’t do a lot of acceleration since we were still in the premises. But what I loved so far is how quiet the cabin is. That has to do with the science behind all plug-in hybrid vehicles. They are so quiet to a point whereby even a pedestrian can never tell if the car approaches from behind. That is how I almost got hit by a Cherry Togo 7 plug-in hybrid in town. I was crossing the road by the traffic lights. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, there was a Cherry Tigo 7 from nowhere. We never heard that car approach our direction. I loved how quick and responsive the brakes are on the Omra C9 plug-in hybrid. However, the front pillar on the driver’s side is a little bit of a disturbance, especially if you’re tending to the far right, but that is not much of a bigger concern. On the front face, the Omora C9 plug-in hybrid has welcome lights and LED daytime running lights as standard. LED headlamps are also standard. The front camera and parking sensors are standard. I think we can all agree that this Omora looks way much better than the Omra C5 in terms of the front end design. On the side profile, you’ve got 20-in multis-spoke alloy wheels and Michelin tires. Both the exterior mirrors have got two cameras. I’ll explain to you what they do. These exterior mirrors are in gloss black. They have indicators and a blind spot monitoring system. Door handles are pop up. They appear when you need them. The black roof of this Omora C9 makes it a super shining SUV. It absolutely looks mean and ready to prove his power figures. With this view concerned, you’ve got a rear end roof spoiler with a highmount stoplight, LED tail lamps and rear parking sensors. The quad tail pipes are there for a design, not any functionality. The camera that you see at the rear view of the vehicle combines with the ones on the exterior mirrors and the one in front. They don’t form a 360deree panoramic view, but a 540 degree panoramic view that will show you different angles, including the side angles as compared to the 360° view. You need this one more than anything in tight spaces. With the interior concerned, you’ve got a killless entry into the Omora C9 plug-in hybrid. The quality on the trimmings of the door is out of this world. There is a lot of leather all the way from the door to the interior. It is called Napa leather. On this door, you can do a lot of things such as pressing the button so the door opens. The door handle is quite unique. Seat adjustments are also on the door and not on the seats. For the driver’s seat, you’ve got normal adjustments plus the under thigh support. Lumbar support is also available. Front seats are ventilated and heated. The second row seats are only heated. The driver seat has got a memory seat function. This means it will remember the sitting position of you as a driver. Steering wheel has got multi-functional controls. It is wrapped in nappa leather and it is four-way electrically adjustable. It has got a driver’s monitoring display to detect when the driver is tired. That is just another level of safety into this cabin. Intelligent voice command button is found on the steering wheel. You press that button and tell the car what to do and it will do that. What I like about the driver seat is that it is equipped with a speaker in the headrest. By the way, this Omra C9 is equipped with 14 speakers. And the sound system in here is Sony. You definitely know what that means. Speaking of the infotainment system and technology, you’ve got a 12.3 LCD cluster screen as well as the 12.3 LCD infotainment system. Wireless April CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. This Omra C9 comes with a fragrance system. You choose between three fragrance scents. A wireless charging tray is standard as well. You also find two USB ports and a 12vt socket. Your twin cup holders are found in an openable storage in the center console. Those twin cup holders will grip your cups. In the same storage, you also have a cell phone tray. There are physical dials for climatic controls. Armrest is also wrapped in nappa leather. You press the button to open it. It is practical because it is a storage underneath. In this storage, you can refrigerate and heat your drinks. But wait, something is missing in the center console. Let me know in the comment section before I say it. If you have guessed it well, then I’m proud of you. It is the gear knob. Because the gear knob is not situated on the center console in the Omra C9 plug-in hybrid, it is at the right side of the steering wheel. Remember, in this Omra C9, there is no start and stop button. The seat belt, brake pedal, and the gear knob are very crucial for that. Even if you put the gear knob on drive, the car will not be ready to move unless you put on the seat belt. That will go along with the brake pedal being pressed simultaneously. I love the nappa leather that has been used to trim the interior. Even the dashboard feels so soft. The sun visor on the driver’s side has got a vanity mirror and a light. The same happens with the sun visor on the passenger side. The entire cabin is light brown in color. Something that is very noticeable as you look up is the panoramic sunroof. This sunroof covers all the way to the second row. Speaking of the second row, let’s go into there and find out what this Omra C9 plug-in hybrid comes with. Jumping onto this row, you’d realize that there’s a lot of space, of course. The fact that you also press buttons to open the doors. Obviously, that is not the only way. You can traditionally use the inner door handle, but pressing that button is going to give you the boss move vibes. I really, really like the cabin of this Omar C9 plug-in hybrid. The fact that you can also recline the rear seats, that’s golden. These second row seats can also be heated. Leg room and head space are also not tired at all. The fact that you’re also covered with a panoramic sunroof, I love that. Metal seat can also be used as a center armrest that will also come in handy integrated with twin cup holders. At the back of the center console, there are limeic controls. When you press this button here, you’re going to find USBA and USBC charging ports. You can also split this seat 60/40. That is to allow for more space from the luggage area to the second row. This Omar C9 comes as standard with eight airbags. It is really safe in here. It has an electric tailgate. The amount of boot space with all seats up is 660 L. When the second row seats are down, it is going to be around 1,783 L. Now that we spoke about the interior and exterior features as well as the engine and defining what a plug-in hybrid means, it is time to speak the price language. This Omra C9 plug-in hybrid will set you at 999,900. If you finance it in 6 years with zero deposit and zero balloon payment at an interest rate of 12%, you’ll find yourself with a monthly repayment of 19,548 rand. That is absolutely not a lot of money in comparison to what you get with the Omra C9. You will get a touch of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. I’m saying that because I’ve interacted with the Mercedes-Benz E200. I reviewed it and took it for a test drive. It is such a solid mid luxury sedan. I compare the Omora C9 plug-in hybrid to that one, mainly because they are very similar in many ways. Technology and material trimmings are similar in the inside. If you really love the Mercedes-Benz Eatlas and you don’t mind an SUV that will give you similar features, the Omora C9 plug-in hybrid is your answer. It has got a lot of power and will save you from spending on fuel. It is cheaper in comparison to the competitors. It is more affordable in comparison with the cars from the same segment. highly technologically advanced. It is luxurious and very comfortable in the cabin. Those are some of the stuff you should consider if you’re looking into the direction of the 2025 or Moa C9 plug-in hybrid. If you’ve reached this far, thank you very much.
