Luego del debut global de la variante híbrida enchufable del crossover en el país latino en Junio, General Motors acaba de lanzar oficialmente el all-new 2026 Chevy Captiva PHEV en Mexico.
General Motors has just officially launched the all-new 2026 Chevy Captiva PHEV in Mexico, following the global debut of the crossover’s plug-in hybrid variant in the Latin American country in June.
The 2026 Chevy Captiva PHEV expands Chevrolet‘s offering in the compact crossover segment and becomes the brand’s first vehicle with a plug-in hybrid powertrain in Mexico after the Chevy Volt. The new 2026 Captiva PHEV arrives in the Mexican market to complement the brand’s strong portfolio of utility vehicles, meeting customer demand for more versatile and efficient models.
“The Chevrolet Captiva PHEV represents a major step in the continuous renewal of our vehicle portfolio,” said Marketing Manager of Chevrolet at GM Mexico, Ángel Pacheco. “The Captiva PHEV is also our way of connecting with Mexican families who are looking for a versatile vehicle, with a sophisticated design, intelligent technology and a level of efficiency that makes a difference from the first trip,” he added.
Just as it did in the Middle East, the all-new 2026 Chevy Captiva PHEV is launching in Mexico with LT and Premier trim levels, with a distinctive appearance and features. In addition to its comprehensive technology and safety features, the 2026 Captiva PHEV stands out for offering the driving experience of an electric car in the city and the performance and fuel efficiency of a hybrid vehicle on the highway or longer journeys.
In this regard, the 2026 Chevy Captiva PHEV features a dual-motor powertrain, including an electric motor developing 150 kW or 201 horsepower and 229 pound-feet of torque, and a naturally aspirated 1.5L gasoline engine that delivers 78 kW or 105 horsepower. Both work together to maximize performance, extend driving range, and reduce fuel consumption. With its 20.5 kWh battery pack and fuel tank, it offers a combined range of 1,075 km or 668 miles according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) protocol.
The all-new 2026 Chevy Captiva PHEV has officially launched and will be available for sale at Chevrolet dealerships in Mexico starting in late November. Deliveries will begin with units imported from one of the plants of the SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) joint venture, which developed the crossover and manufactures it exclusively in China. It’s offered with a choice of six exterior colors, two interior colorways, and a wide range of accessories. Pricing is as follows:
2026 Captiva PHEV LT: 569,900 pesos (about $30,650 USD at the current exchange rate) 2026 Captiva PHEV Premier: 599,900 pesos ($32,250 USD)
