Modifying my Overpowered “E-Bike” (*stealth mode*)

What if there was a bike that you could ride anywhere you wanted in complete silence and no one would even know you were there? I bought this 2025 Ultrabe because my Stark Var was too much. Everywhere I rode that bike, people noticed, but not this bike. It’s matte black like an F-17 bomber. It’s quiet like your dad’s ebike. Let’s make this thing even more stealth than it already is and see what we can get away with. I will be uh completely honest with you guys. This is just kind of an excuse to put some cool parts on this bike. So, let’s do it. I’m starting by taking off the seat and taking out the battery because I want to black out as many parts of this bike as possible. I’m removing these little side covers, which, fun fact, don’t do anything for the bike, but I guess they look cool. I’m popping off the motor cover because I want to black this out, too. I want this bike to be completely invisible when the lights are off. I’m using this stuff called Steel It. It’s like spray paint, but it’s as durable as powder coat. It’s crazy. I’m taking out this gasket on the back of the cover because I don’t want to get overspray on that. Then I’m wiping it down with isopropyl alcohol. These sanding sponges from Amazon are really good at getting into all the nooks and crannies. And then I’m wiping it down one more time with isopropyl alcohol to get all of the gunk off. I’m taking everything outside before I spray it cuz steel it is nasty and it comes on thick. So you got to be really careful. It’s not like spray paint. But if you do it right, this stuff is durable. Emergency intercom. While we wait for that stuff to dry, I have a very important announcement regarding the channel. JT Racing has come on board as our official glove sponsor and the sponsor of today’s video. Let’s go JT Racing. To kick off our partnership, they sent me this giant bag of gloves. So far, I’ve mostly been riding in these, which are their like light kind of stretchy, super breathable gloves. But they also sent me these puppies. Look at these things. These are their newer ’90s style retro gloves. For a chunky glove, they are surprisingly super flexible. The other thing they just released are full leather retro gloves. They make me want to like kick over a CR500. JT didn’t tell me anything that I needed to say in this video. They just said, “Hey, announce that we’re working together now.” And it is still blowing my mind that a company that collaborates with like Honda and all of these iconic brands is also supportive of our community. I think that’s so sick. JT is like such an iconic brand. It’s been around for I think literally 50 years. Honestly, it all still kind of feels surreal. They have so many crazy designs on their website. I wear a medium in most of these gloves. I can also fit a large, but the medium literally feels like it was like tailored to my hand. I will have a link down below so you can check out all of the designs they have. And make sure to use code low gang at checkout for your next set of gloves. Thank you JT Racing. I am so excited for this partnership. Let’s start with the first real modification we’re going to be doing today. This is something I’ve needed since the first moment I sat on this Ultra V. Upgrading your bars is probably one of the easiest and most impactful changes you can make to your bike. But you got to do everything in the right order. I like loosening everything up before I loosen up the bars themselves. That makes it easier to pop everything off once you can move the bars around. I ended up choosing these Renthol fat bars in the RC high bend. So, a little bit more sweep and definitely higher. This will make the bike so much more comfortable. I’m a pretty tall rider, so I need as much height as I can get. And then uh disaster struck. Ah, crap. Folks, it appears as if we have hit our first real snag. Before I mount the bar to the bar mounts, I want to get everything at least loosely on the bars, right? But these Renthol fat bars are living up to their name. The knurling on this side is so intense that it actually comes out from the bar. Do you see that? This part is actually thicker than this part. So, we can’t even get our controls on. This thing is as loose as it can possibly be. It seems to me like we might need to remove some metal. I think that’s pretty clearly a job for one tool and one tool only. Mr. Angle grinder. Psych. Uh I thought I had to use the angle grinder. I actually don’t. There were these two little screws that I didn’t see. Honestly, that’s kind of the downside of having Mr. Angle grinder. Every single problem that I have, I think I should just fix by pulling out the angle grinder. I think I need to be thinking more. I wanted to get everything loosely mounted up so that I could make sure these fit me right and I positioned them correctly. So, I got on the bike, made sure everything was lined up, made sure I could do some hand drags, and then tightened everything down to the final torque spec of tight. Now, obviously, there’s no point in running unless you tell everyone around you that you’re running reenths with a big bar pad. I was going to use these ODI grips, but I decided not to. There’s something just really cool about stock surround grips, I think, cuz they’re so rare to see on a bike. This is where I ran into yet another problem with the Renthol fat bars. The stock sureron lock on grips just would not go on. I had to resort to my old friend Mr. Angle grinder. It was hard not to grind away like way too much of the bar. You can see how focused I am. So, I snuck up on the final dimension with a hand file. And oh god. Oh, it’s not even all the way on. What the heck? I thought I could solve the problem by just cutting off the surround grips and using the ODIs, but it turns out uh these are actually glued on. So, I basically ended up just uh hammering on the lock-on side and then uh now I have this beautiful chunk out of my grip until I get my new throttle and grips in the mail. Uh subscribe to see that. This bike only had 50 m on it from the previous owner and he left all of the plastic wrap still on everything. And by this time, the Steel It was completely dry. Look at that finish. That’s out of a spray can. It also worked on the plastic, which surprised me cuz it’s made for metal. I’m throwing those puppies back on, even though again they don’t do anything. Then I’m reinstalling the gasket that I took out earlier so that no water creeps into these sensitive electronics. The motor vibrates so much I locked every single bolt just to be sure. And then it was time to wrap the battery. I really like the look of a matte black battery. Plus, it’s super stealthy. So, I used this Amazon vinyl that I got for like $4. Hit it with a little heat around the corners and trimmed off the excess. This is probably one of the easiest mods you can do to your bike if you want to change the look of it. And I just love the look of a matte black battery. It’s so sweet. I went to reinstall the seat and closed the battery lid. Uh and then I realized oops, I pinched the uh communication cable, which is not good. This thing had a giant gouge in it from me slamming the battery lid on it. So, I turned the bike back on and hoped for the best. Yes, dude. Now that I was sure I hadn’t breakked my entire bike, I started doing a lot of little changes that are long overdue. I’m trying to learn how to spin an Allen wrench with my thumb. You can see that I’m uh not good at it. I also realized this green thing on the motor cover is not stealthy at all. So, I took that thing apart. It’s like three Phillips heads. And I used some of the leftover vinyl from the battery wrap, hit it with some heat, trimmed out the excess, and then just pressed it straight back into the motor cover. And it doesn’t look great, but from like that distance or like from even farther away, it looks fine. So, the stock brake levers are fine, but they’re kind of slippery. And I came up with a little trick when I built the Stark to put grip tape that I had used for the foot pedals of the drift cart. And I just cut out tiny little strips, rounded them off so they look professional, and made little relief cuts so that they would fit perfectly on the lever. I hit it with a little bit of heat and then just put it on the lever. This makes it so confidence inspiring when you’re using your brakes. All right, she is looking pretty dang stealthy already. The matte black battery just like disappears. It’s crazy. We have two more major things to go on, including I’ll let you guess what that is, but this is something I’m really excited about because it is unreleased. Grit Shift reached out and asked me if they could send me their prototype Ultrabe seat cover. High claim item, baby. Oh, yo, they sent me two. This first one is like an oval pattern and then this one is like grip tape. Woah. They also sent a note. So, we heard you are building an Ultrabe. We want your feedback as you are one of the few honest YouTubers that we can trust. Hey, that’s super nice. Thanks, guys. We are mixed on which base material to use, so let us know. Also, you are the first outside of the Grit Shift team to receive a flow yellow keychain. These will never be for sale or given to anyone. Just keep up the awesome content. Oh my gosh, dude. Grit Shift, I am honored. Thank you, Bullet. This is actually genuinely very meaningful and helpful. I couldn’t decide what keychain I wanted to run on these keys. I think we found the answer. Look at this. Oh my gosh. How sick is that, guys? There’s more. We should race our ultras when your build is done. I’m pretty sure ours is the fastest in the world. I’m going to put this right up here as a reminder. Grit Shift, you’re on. When this thing is done, you’re toast. All right, enough talk. Let’s install this. I’ve installed a ton of sea covers on the channel, but I’ve never really explained what I do. Basically, I center everything. I staple it in the front and then in the back. And then I start working my way around starting with the sides and working my way out towards the ends. I did not do a great job installing this cover. You can see it’s kind of wrinkly, but I fixed it later. The last big thing I need to do is change the tires. And this is actually my least favorite thing to do on a bike. Yes, even more than bleeding brakes. I hate changing tires. I got some tire spoons off Amazon. And I was going to do a whole like tutorial and then I decided uh against doing that. I’m even filming this. Uh, this is going to take forever. We did it, boys. The UltraB is officially in stealth mode. Blacked out battery, blacked out motor, blacked out, whatever these are called. New seat cover, rental fat bars, and of course, an 18/19 street tire setup, which I’m going to be honest, I might have gone too skinny. I don’t know. Tell me what you think. But believe me, there are so many sick parts coming for this bike. A lot of them are in the mail and they didn’t arrive in time for this video. But it doesn’t matter cuz we got a ride to get to. One of the local riders is throwing a Halloween themed ride, which is perfect to test the stealth capabilities of this bike. The sun is going down. It’s getting cold out. We’re at 100% battery. But before we head over there, we got to make an important stop. Are you fail? Yes, sir. I’ve seen you before. I swear. You’re with a friend. He was on RTR. Got a EOS 2 out of I love the Oh, thank you. I got a lot more work to do on it. Have a great day. I don’t think my bike is setting off the sensor right now. So maybe that’s a sign we don’t need a Baja blast at uh 5:00 p.m. Now, because this is a Halloween ride, that means two things. Number one, there’s going to be a lot of people there. And number two, everybody is going to be in costume, and the only costume I have is Ryan Strahan, which involves wearing shorts and a t-shirt. It’s way too cold for that. So, I don’t have a costume for this ride. Here’s my plan, though. Every time somebody asks me who I’m dressed as, I’m just going to tell them a different answer. Hopefully, uh, nobody notices. This ride is also going to be a really good range test. I’m starting at 100% battery. Remember, this is an 80 vol 76 amp hour battery. This is the biggest battery I’ve ever had on any bike I’ve ever owned. Oh my gosh, this is such a fun bike. Somehow it’s all the best parts of the Stark and the Suron like combined into one bike. It’s the best. And you guys already know I have zero affiliation with Siron. They do not like working with YouTubers. I’m just saying they made a dang fun bike. This is the best. Also, peep the new JTs. I also have some of the thicker like ’90s style ones just because it’s getting kind of cold and I don’t really want Frostbite. So, oh, this is the best bike. Hands down. Best bike. All right, I have arrived uh 4 minutes early. I see an Ultra B. What’s going on? You just buy a Start V, you fully upgrade it and you’re like, eh, this is so much more fun than the V for me at least. You upgraded, bro. That’s sick. This is like a genius idea, dude. I’m so proud of this idea. I don’t see anyone do it. It’s so worth it for how good it feels to Are you dressed as America? What’s the I don’t know. America. I just saw this on Amazon. I’m like that that fits me. I didn’t recognize you when you show. I was like, who’s who’s the lady in the pink jumper? And then you got clothes on. Oh, it’s striped. Dude, it looks so good. Dude, I was thinking about being a skeleton. And then you should have dressed up. I did dress up. Uh Jed, I was just going to make something up, but I can’t come up with anything. I was there when Griffin 18 kW. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Have you like matted it? Yeah, I like it. You went all the way. Yeah, it was like And it wasn’t What the hell? Yeah. I just have it set up super smooth. Brakes are insane. I know, right? You want to try sport? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. You tried mine and he was like, “Are you sure that’s 18 kW?” Yeah. I was like, “Yeah, what do you mean?” He’s like, “It’s kind of slow.” What everyone says, “I don’t want to wait another two months, bro.” What do you mean another two months? You just got your bike, dude. Good to see you, bro. Dude, the streets look insane. I know. Well, they’re just so skinny. I thought they were going to be fatter. Insane. Yo, Ultra B. Hold on. Is that new? Yeah, it is new. Brand new. Sick, dude. Oh, bro. Thank you. So, this is the cleverest keychain I’ve ever seen. You have a website, zekeesigns us. Hell yeah, dude. It’s silent, bro. Even more people have showed up. This is getting crazy. me today. You you you my whole thing about this bike is I wanted to be super stealthy. So if anything goes down, we can just dip. Turn off the light. Nobody can see us around the fountain. Hey, did you get this from Matt? Yes. Okay. What’s up? Good to meet you. I was like, “Wa, another cake calls.” Oh, the Montreal. There are a lot more people here than I realized. The king costume is sick. What up? Skittles? Are they safe? Yeah, they’re for me. It’s good. It’s good. You promise? They’re not It’s not drugs or something. Oh, Halloween, dude. I just put two and two together. All right, I’m going to have these later. I’m going to have these. Oh, what’s that? Oh, yeah. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. That was sick. That was sick. There’s like a gang of RTRS here all with fuzzy costumes on. McDonald over here. Dude, I like the outfit. Good to see you. Got a kids meal, man. You won’t get any on the ground. I already got a packet of Skittles. Forgot to eat dinner. Skittles. It is. Just bought a siron or ultra. Really? Yeah. on the Alibaba. So, it should take like I saw Saras’s video come out. I saw Z Solless and now you I was like, “Okay, it’s a sign. Got to get Shout out to uh the Dragon that gave me the Skittles, by the way. So good. Didn’t know I needed them. You read my mind. Get these gloves from JT Racing, baby. New sponsor.” Dude, that wasn’t even that wasn’t even scripted. You just asked me. Oh, those are really nice gloves. Professionally in the ’90s. Those are sick. Thank you. That’s cool. Look what I got. The hot hands in the gloves. Hot hands in the gloves. Only way that would be better is if it was the hot hands in the JT racing gloves. That’s all I’m saying. Genuinely, I think I might be too stealthy. People keep almost hitting me. I’m turning my lights back on. You know what? What the heck? Let’s go 30 kow. Bro, this is my favorite part of these rides. Coming up over this, seeing both our stadiums, the water over there. It’s crazy. Look at this view. This is crazy. The ferris wheel down there, man. Whoa. GT500 or something. What was that? Oh, yo, MXP Designs, right? What’s good, bro? You built the perfect Ultrabe, I think. I’m really jealous. I’m coming for you. Okay, I’m dumping all of my money into this thing. Okay, I got the plan. We’ll see. We’ll see. And you know, Grit Shift wants to race both of us. Come here. It’s easier to know easier than fast. Hey, slow speed control. Oh my god. I’m flanked by Ultra Beast. Is that real? Yo, I was like, who’s on that huge dirt bike? Like my costume? I like your bike. Damn. What color is that? Hold on. I also I know your bike. Your bike’s sick as hell. I love that color. What color is that? I know, dude. No one knows what their powder coat colors are. Got to change color. I get it. Yeah, I know. You’re right. Okay. Okay. I got to let some air out of my tire before this light turns green. Where is it? Where is it? Good. Yeah. What’s up? I got to let air out of my tire. It’s a race against the clock. I’m hurrying. Hey, dude. Oh god. Oh god. Go, go, go. I still got the I still got the valve stem cap thing in my hand, dude. How am I supposed to ride like this? All right. So far, it says we’re at 86%. We’ve been riding for a long ass time. Genuinely, this bike is like kind of too fast. Like, I can’t really do anything with it when I’m in the middle of the group. I’m going to see if I can get to the front. Excuse me. Excuse me. Sorry. Excuse me. Excuse me. Excuse me. Okay. Oh my gosh, dude. How did we end up here? What is going on? Oh my gosh. What a night, dude. Oh, wa. Car crash. What the heck? The car looked like it had crashed, but there was no other car. Really [ __ ] comfortable on that. Oh, thanks. I don’t feel it yet, but I appreciate that. I’ll get there. I’ll get there. You will do that. Are you serious? For real. And you guys got an iPhone. Fell out of your pocket. Probably when you were doing circles. Damn, dude. I lost that [ __ ] a while ago. Walking with you, dude. Hey, what should my next bike be? I’ll get whatever you say. Ultra. Ultra. Let’s do it. Are you coming or no? Yeah. All right. Bingley lost his phone like an hour ago. So now we’re in a mad dash to get back there before someone steals it or something. I don’t know. How quick do you think we can get there? Dude, these ultra batteries are crazy. I’m at like 75%. I don’t know what he said. We made it. We made it through the tunnel. Is that where it is on the ramp? It was north of Lumen Field. So it it might it’ll be it might be on this. It’s on It’s on the waterfront. Right after that weird triangle building right there. It’s right. No way. You found it, dude. How many times has it been run over? Dude, I can’t believe we found it. Yes, dude. Mission accomplished. Is it cracked? It was It was cracked before. Not that bad, but at least I have it. You got it, baby. Let’s go. The bar is touching the sky. When you hear my thing, get too wavy. I go protect my
