Z Stories | Diana
When I met my husband, he had a 1975 280C and I fell in love with the car, fell in love with him and we started having kids and the Z went away. But then the kids grew up and moved away and I bought another one. I bought this one. I went to some car shows and I saw these modifications that people have done. Every year I did something more and it kind of got a little out of hand, a little crazy. So I got that cray crazy license plate. I didn’t want it to look like anybody else’s car cuz it’s the original engine. Haven’t done anything to it with 248,000 miles on it now. And I put every one of those miles on there and it’s very trustworthy. I mean, just keeps it going. When I get out of this car, I go, “Well, I didn’t expect an old lady to get out of the car.” People always ask, “Ooh, can I do that to my car?” If I’m inspiring you to do something to your car to make you love your car more, that’s what makes me happy is when I can inspire someone. This car, it’s just a car, you know? It’s not like it’s something alive that like a pet, but it’s very sentimental to me. I would never sell this car.
