So, it is the morning. The Dentman just been and gone on it. Weather’s not ideal, is it? It’s chuck it down with rain. Uh, we are going to go and buy a 1,000 brake horsepower car today. Hopefully, if we get the deal done, it all goes to plan. And that car is luckily four-wheel drive cuz you do not want to be driving a 1,00 horsepower car in this weather. Do you still quite warmish, little bit warm, might get my jumper on. Um, but anyway, I’m wondering over in this direction. We’ll talk more about that later in the video. Got a drama story to tell you as well. We’ve got we had a customer moan that apparently we’ve put his and his family’s lives at risk. But yeah, two nice cars just arrived. Rena man RS Trophy. Really nice thing. Manual gearbox car done 27,000 mi. The colors of these cars, by the way, they deserve to win awards for color choices. Renault just do lovely color choices. This one is obviously a newer car. Done 47,000 mi and more miles than that one. This is an automatic gearbox car. I’ve not yet driven this yet. I do want to drive that. Bet that’s a lovely thing to drive. Values of those two cars are I think that one in the region of £19,000. And this one, an earlier car, 64 plate versus a 70 plate. So, they’re a few years apart in age. That car £17,000 retail. By the way, let me know which one would you prefer. Like, it ain’t, you know, usually I like to buy and film German cars, but this is what we like to buy. You know, this is our this is within our market. This is also within what we do. So, I know we’ve got a very German dominant audience, but they’re both they’re different, aren’t they? They’re unique. So, let me get Sam on camera. Decent van. And there’s been an issue with the van. Yeah. Yeah. What did it catch on fire? Yeah. So, we got a call. This customer’s not too happy. Basically, he thinks it’s our fault that his van’s caught on fire, had his kids in it, says there was loads of smoke coming in the cabin. Um, basically saying, “What are you going to do about it?” So, I’ve said, “So, this is shortly after he’s bought it.” Yeah. Well, must have been like a month and a half ago, 2 months ago, they bought it. Mhm. Um, obviously you took it seriously. This a drastic thing like a van’s caught on fire potentially. He emailed him straight away. Yeah. like to get photos and stuff cuz you know we can’t just say oh bring it back we’ll pay you happy days. We need photos and whatever to see what’s happened before we can do that. Um he sent a photo over and yeah well we’ll put the photo on screen now. Yeah. So Sam’s told me the story and I’m like this sounds bad. Like this is bad. And understandably the customer’s fuming and he’s you know he said that we potentially put his family’s life at risk. Sam then sent over a photo and I’m looking at it like this is just a little burn on the bumper. Yeah. And what we’ve done is we put it into chat GBT just to get an educated a non-human opinion on it. What did Trap GBT say? Chat GPT said what we thought. I’m sure. Um they’ll stick a screenshot of that in as well. Yeah. Um, they basically said it looks like someone’s stuck a blow torch on the back of the van in a centralized spot and done it themselves. There’s no wires or anything behind that plastic piece. So, it’s basically impossible that that would have caught fire. So, the burn there’s a burnt bit of plastic, but the Sorry, there’s a burnt patch on the rear rear bumper. Is it rear bumper? Yeah. Yeah. The rear left of the van. And that’s basically the issue. Yeah. We’ve still got an unhappy customer which we need to sort out. Yeah. Um, but the conclusion currently is there’s a burn patch on the bumper that’s happened in the time the customers owned the van and we are nothing to do with it. Basically, Luton Airport. So, we are on the road. We just had lunch. McDonald’s Five Select. It’s bad. It’s bad when you’re on the road a lot. It’s kind of hard to know what to eat and there’s not really many options. Got fire suppression, safety cut off, M4 subframe. We got AP racing brakes. We got drag wheels in the other unit. Look at the back parachute. That is jokes. It’s actually got a car with a parachute on the back. This was I wanted it out this year, but bro, when it comes to this, you know, yourself, you I saw you put up something about your E46 M3. Yeah. Yeah. It just goes on. It’s no joke. Yeah. The money, the time, the effort, even the energy from people doing it. You know, you want You have an expectation, don’t you, of it being done, but then it’s like now the reality is is that if you’re doing a build, just forget about it. It’s like it’s not going to come when you think it’s going to come. Yeah. It’s not You’re not even realistic to think it’s going to happen overnight. Even I must admit, I’ve been very patient. Not even just patient. I get it. like VRS are busy. It’s you might go into it. What I like the idea on this is uh I think for for more um people is insurance wise, insurance is going to be cheaper, running costs are going to be cheaper, serviceable parts, everything’s going to be cheaper. And um for me, it’s like, don’t get me wrong, I love a outrageous looking car, but I also don’t like the side effects, which are like people wanting to race you all the time and the amount of attention it gets. So, this I feel like it’s in the middle. Don’t get me wrong, it’s purple, frozen, it looks pretty crazy, but the M3s, M cars, RS cars, you attract a certain crowd. I think this it’s a little bit in the middle. Not a blender, but almost to that extent. Yeah, you can’t get one of them roofs on an M3 either. So, that’s something that would definitely be attractive. What do you think about the color of the interior? Honestly, I think you or No, no, I like it. It works well with the color of the car as well, doesn’t it? I think it’s a good contrast. It’s brave, but whoever specked that car from factory, fair play to them. Literally, every single one that was available other than that one that seems to be liquid, they’ve all sold. So, so yeah, I’m just making the point that I wasn’t like worried about the car value and stuff like that. I don’t feel like I would have. As I say, I just generally like to get rid of the car. Yeah.
