The Heartbeat Behind the Horsepower

[Music] I just like to listen to the motor and look get in your own thoughts and do your own thing and get in your own world. It’s become part of me. There’s no doubt. [Music] Just runs in the blood now. Even if I watered it out, I couldn’t get it out. Here [Music] we are now down to Vegas. Next day, Phoenix. Why the Z? I joined my first car club when I was 16. Because of the people, I love driving and my father. It’s something that we both love doing. I love it. How often can you run like this with your own son? We all have the Zcar, but that’s just brought us together as a family. That’s why I do it. When you get with these people, they look out for each other. They have a great time, and it kind of evolved into massive trips, and I love it. Saturday holiday weekend. It’s going to be busy. [Music] [Music] And I’ve been in this seat almost over 650,000 miles and my butt still fits fine in it. [Music] It’s the pride in the car. Reliability on them. And I never thought I’d own it for 42 years. I’ll always own this one. It’s being on the open road and driving. [Music] When I met my husband, he had a 1975 280Z. I fell in love with the car, then fell in love with him. We started having kids and the Z went away. But then the kids grew up and moved away and I bought another one. I bought this one. [Music] When I get out of this car, I go, “Wo, I didn’t expect an old lady to get out of the car. It’s just a car, you know? It’s not like it’s something alive.” But it’s very sentimental to me. I would never sell this car. I’ve done so much. I always go, “Come on, baby. You can make it.” I mean, no, it’s never time. [Music] It feels like a glove. It fits me and uh both of them do. I can get into my father’s car and I love driving that one. It brings us together real real good. But it’s the people that are in the cars that make the cars so great. They would take their shirt off their own back to help you out. My best friends are all in the Z community. The car brought us all together. The car is secondary to the friendships we’ve made and that’s important to me. I just love to drive. The Z is freedom. [Music] Everybody has a Z story. [Music]

The #NissanZ spans over decades, but the spirit remains the same. What’s your Z story?
