The TransAmerica Trail is America’s longest off-road adventure: a continuous network of off-road trails & backcountry routes that connect from coast to coast, spanning 5,900+ miles. It has no official signs and no official single path. To find and navigate it, you need to be in the know.
Over the course of a 32-day endeavor, Ford and @Google Maps set out to do something that’s never been done before: Put the entire trail on Street View for anyone to explore – giving adventurers of all experience levels what they need to navigate the off-road with confidence.
Equipped with Google Maps’ new Street View camera, the Ford Bronco® led the Ranger® and Expedition® Tremor® from Oregon to North Carolina across nearly every type of terrain, capturing imagery the entire way.
