Fastest cheapest 60V 11” Electric Scooter I’ve ever tried so far DriveTron 06 Review
This is a new scooter for coming from China. I don’t know the specs. It should be a new budget friendly option. I only saw pictures. It looks actually pretty good. Uh the package, this is what you get. It come a little bit rough. You see here like little openings, but it’s wrapped. I think it was in better condition. And this is like done by the shipping company is in also opening here. So hope it’s not uh destroyed, not damaged. Let’s uh open up and see what we have here. Yeah, I mean this is normal. actually pretty well packed. I can’t even get to look at this to the to the edge. So, I think this is going to be fine. Standard packaging. There’s a little ding right here. They probably dropped it, but it’s not a big deal. Just cosmetic cosmetics that has pretty good specs. Tools, user manual. See if I can lift it. Yeah. And this is good. Actually, it’s not bad. I think it’s about 80 lb. Oh, there you go. So, this goes on top and then you click over. Okay. So this tongue right here goes, see when you push down, you have to push this forward, it clicks. And when you push down, it compresses here. And then you click it and then it’s good. Yeah, it’s a double double locking mechanism here. Yeah, we have to just put the handlebars. Where’s the kickstand? Oh, I have to install the kickstand. And uh this is it. So the kickstand actually goes right here on the bottom. I haven’t seen this. Actually pretty cool integration. The entire frame is one piece magnesium alloy structure. Very light and strong. The plastic covers on the arms and bottom of the frame is made out of ultra high strength plastic. So let’s put the kickstand. We’ll finish assembly and see how the scooter looks like. I think if you go in the city, this is perfect. Now if you go off road, you need something like that, right? To have like reinforced skeleton. Yeah, this is a city cruiser and it’s light. So or neighborhood cruiser, whatever. Yeah. Yeah. But actually it looks uh uh it’s too light for the size. I was expecting to be like, you know, heavier actually. Yeah, this is pretty pretty cool. Here’s a drive drone 06 model we assembled. And we have here a 60 volt system priced at $1399. 11in wheels, beefy alloy magnesium frame, a lot of stickers everywhere, but overall good geometry and pleasant design. You have 60 volt system, 23.4 24 A power battery, 1,500 W dual system, 2200 watts peak power delivery, 11 in tubeless tires, good quality rubber. I mean, you have good components here. I like the integration of the fender. So, good motors, big battery, beefy frame. This is really massive and smooth, you know, transition here. Good light. Uh, good components here. Like this is the console. Love the console, guys. Really nice. And you can actually lower it and have turning signals. And this is freaking bright. Bright as hell. Look at that. For 1,400 bucks, getting all the specs, this is really, really compelling. Really. We’ll see how it rides. But on the paper and how it looks, except the stickers, I think it’s awesome. If you look at the cockpit here, big display. Let’s power this on. Yeah. And now it’s powered on. So, there’s a plastic film. I have to remove it. Good console. I like this turning signals. Good grips. Logan hydraulic brakes. That’s really cool. Overall presentation, it’s really nice. You have the stamp throttle. You have this hook that looks a little weird and a little long, but I believe it connects here. And this is you pull on the side. So, I never seen this before. And it goes through this opening. There’s a rubber here that you opened up. So, a little bit cheesy, a little bit weird here, but we’ll test and see how it works. Uh, good rubber top. This is painted. It looks good. This the call is a little cheap. I think I would remove them. It look better. Um, this is fine. Nice size. Good fender. It covers all the way down. And you have suspension. So, this is a little bit weird. I had never seen this before. And the idea, it’s cool. It kind of like, you know, I like that you actually pull this on the side and connect. Uh, but I think this should be much shorter. Maybe tuck in and stop here. So, you can pull from the side so it doesn’t stick out that much. which you can see from the top and from the side. Good arms, aluminum, so it’s all magnesium frame. You have lights here. We’ll test in night time and see how it looks. Again, the stickers are cheap and uh could be done better. You have here D06 model. So again, reflectors here on top, which is good, but this is covering the bolt that uh covers, you know, this is like a plastic cover that goes over the loyang suspension integration here. The ring on the bottom. Usually the ring is on the top, so I don’t know how you’re going to get there. So you’ll probably have to uh disassemble, adjust it, and put it back. Um, but this is how it looks. It’s pretty wide and nice integration. The brakes are on the same side. Two charging ports, which is cool. And reflectors here that covers the screws, which is nice. I like the shape. I think honestly, if you remove the stickers or put better quality stickers, this will look so much better. You have the wiring going around. A little too long I think here. Uh, and yeah, plenty of IC now. So, this is extra to have clearance and it’s enough angle. I’ve seen this light before. Really powerful. You have here 12 volts. We’ll test at night time. Good fan there. Folding mechanism actually is pretty good. Again, stickers here. This has to be pushed inside. Uh, overall I would say cable management. Yeah, it’s nicely done. This can be covered more. It’s very clean. I like the look, especially the handlebars and the hydraulic brakes are really nice. Big screen. Uh, you have turbo mode. I’ll go in a second and show you the modes. But overall presentation, it looks good. When you power on the scooter, it’s such a cool feature. So, if you don’t use the pin or the card, it’s actually locks in the tires and it’s hard to push. the motors have resistance and actually you push more it actually locks in more. So I’m not sure if this is like a safety feature or just because electronics are not connected but uh you can put 0000 or just touch the card [Music] and it’s on. Actually let’s take it out so you can see the screen much better. Color screen and uh it’s very well visible actually. And we have here eco actually walking speed shows zero gear eco std and turbo. And I think it comes locked out of the box. So to unlock you have to press the onoff and this button at the same time. It’s going to lock the top speed. But let’s see how fast it goes now. Actually it’s unlocked. And it’s moving pretty fast. Yeah, I think it’s unlocked or maybe unlocked it before. Suspension is pretty good. A little bit of noise. I think it doesn’t bottom down. It just it’s uh I think it’s kind of like touching on the way back up. Touching something maybe. We’ll check in a second. But let’s acceleration. Yeah, the grips are awesome. The grips are very comfortable. It’s picking up pretty well. Let’s see here. 34. Let’s get on the highway so we can push harder. But right, it’s very comfortable actually. Suspension is not bad. Let’s go now. Yeah, now it’s pushing harder. 28 30 I’ve killed 31 33 36 37 38 39 40 42 44 45 46 46 Yeah. Oh, I don’t reckon here. 46 miles an hour. 46 miles an hour. That’s actually similar to the Vora Cruiser, the RS5. I think a little bit probably by a mile, maybe 2 miles faster. This is decent and it feels stable and it doesn’t have a steer damper. It doesn’t need one and it’s windy today. It looks sunny and nice, but it’s getting cold. It’s 55°. So, let’s go second speed. Let’s turn around here. Second speed also torquy [Music] and I think it’s limited to let’s see 18 17 19 mph I think 17 18 second speed it show steady on the screen just the GPS it’s uh actually 18. Let’s go first speed. First speed looks like maybe 11 miles, 10 miles. Slowing down. All right. Now, yeah, this is too slow. I don’t see anybody riding the speed, but about 15 km or 9 mph. Yeah, third speed is exactly what you need. And this handlebars, this grips actually super comfortable. I like them. This is probably the fastest, cheapest 60 volt I tried so far. And it goes. Yeah, it needs time to pick up speed. And also here’s uphill. But it’s comfortable. This D drive 06 is actually pretty good. Except the stickers. I would just remove all the stickers and put something else or just leave it black. I think it’s so much better. And just the reflectors on the side and it’s perfect. You have to kick in. has like I don’t know if there’s any I don’t think there’s any apps to like remove that kick in but it’s cool. Look at this. 30 mi. It just goes 37 38 almost 40. Yeah. To 40 and in the corner 41 42. It’s just it’s good uphill now. Yeah, it has a good uh torque on the start and it’s really really comfortable. Like I would say we jump on the scooter. You don’t need to like get used to it at all. I It’s not a hyper scooter to give you a monster power. So you have to like kind of like adjust and like like need to practice. It’s just like it’s a regular daily rider. You jump on it and you just go. I’m not even pushing to the max and 26 close to 30 mph easily. And the tires feel very good. Good traction, good control. Turning signals are good. [Music] It’s a cool scooter. Good torque. It picks up really, really nicely and smooth. But I can feel the power. horn. It’s okay. Range tested in max turbo setting up to 20% battery capacity. Temperature 55° my weight 230 lb. And I kept the speed between 28 to 40 mph. And I managed to cover 21.9 mi in range. At 20% battery capacity, the speed dropped. The scooter was struggling. So, I had to lower it in the second gear. And from 70 mi in range, I rode all the way to 21.9 mi in range on the second gear. This brand set up the controllers to 35 amp discharge to give you more top speed, more power, more torque, sacrificing the range. These controllers can be adjusted to 32 amps or lower discharge and give you more range. When it comes to suspension, once you get under $1,500 price range, it is hard to get the high performance shocks at $1,399 due to good geometry of this frame and different angle shocks mountings compared to traditional scooter suspension. Here you get decent travel and performance, but don’t come with a little rattle, noise, and vibration. At this price level, you still get two chargers and they’re good quality chargers. I’ve seen this brand before. And you have here 2 amps, 4 amps, and you get two charging ports on the scooter. And this is the feature that I don’t see on other many other scooters that are more expensive than this. For example, TE I recently received great scooter, good performance, but only one charger and not even two amps. Here you have two amps and two of them. So, this is impressive. So, empty to full, it’s going to take a little bit less than 6 hours, which is impressive, right? And you can also upgrade, cut the ends and get maybe 3 amps and 3 amps and have it uh charge even faster. Let’s check out the lights. So, this is what you get on the scooter. The side lights, the blue ones are actually pretty bright, very visible. Back, the rear light. Let’s check the brakes. It’s not super bright and brakes just flickers. It needs to be brighter. And this is the front light. Good positioning. And it’s actually not super bright, but it’s decent. Let me show you the front. So, this is how it looks. And it covers surprisingly a lot. I don’t know if the camera picks up, but looking at the light, this is actually good to go fast. Even off road, it’s wide enough. And it covers entire road. And you can see it’s actually cutting all the way to the top. So, good lights. And this is the side view of the scooter. So, in the city will be very visible. Those side blue lights are actually pretty bright. If you look here, it’s plenty of clearance. It’s like almost like 7 in. So, the thing is if you’re going to go over sidewalks intentionally, you have to be careful. But, you know, but if you’re doing if you’re Yeah. Yeah. For for for street driving, it’s fine. Yeah, it’s fine. I I like that. Look, it transition here nicely. It’s beefy. If you’re going some hardcore off-roading, I wouldn’t want to do that. Well, I mean, you have to change the tires. You have to lift suspension. You can you can because you can pull more and get more clearance. But I mean, this is okay as long as you don’t hit the bottom, right? True. For off-road and even if you hit, you’re gonna crack the plastic. I don’t think you’re gonna hit. It would have to be a big rock or something. I It’s gonna crack really easily. Yeah. And the thing is like this is magnesium alloy is just plastic on top. And also here, plastic on top. It’s magnesium underneath. And this is magnesium. It’s very, very beefy. I’m sure it’s not a big issue or they wouldn’t have done it. I like the suspension layout. How they angle on the angle? Yeah. Well, yeah. It’s not perfectly straight here. Yes. It’s a little bit on angle, but here it’s like aggressive angle. Yeah. And it’s a coil spring, so it should give it a little more. But you see what’s weird? If you look closely here, uh the ring is on the bottom. Usually it’s on the top. So you can’t get there. You can’t get any wrench. You have to like take it take it apart. And the same on the back. You have to take it apart and adjust it. Tire take the shock or tire off the suspension. Yeah. You have to take it all out because if you get take the tire off, I mean, if you take the tire off, you’ll be more the back maybe. No, I don’t know. We have to like on the top. Usually you come on top, you can get like a pliers to get like one of those wrenches and you can like kind of like ratchet it and you know adjust it or get like a a screwdriver and a hammer like hammer it in. Do that. That would work. But this is Yeah, this is kind of like silly, but it can be swapped and maybe it’s placed incorrectly. Yeah. Well, I think this is probably preventful. What is No, this is for the you open and you connect the connect the when you fold the, you know, tub 11 in good quality tires, good motors, good brakes, good screen, right? I mean, overall, you remove the stickers going be better presentation. I think it’s not a bad deal for 1,400 bucks. It’s Yeah. I mean, and to save money, they have to cut corners somewhere. Yeah. I mean, they dropped the price, right? They can’t just give you everything. Performance. Yeah. You can’t beat this at all. Logan brakes. Yeah. This is like Nami comes with this, right? Those are good. And this is steel inserts. Yeah, it’s a nice It’s a nice scooter for sure. Signals in the handlebar. Yeah, that’s what I This is like like segue to say. And it has hardware, you know, good rubber, you know, it’s secure. Like it’s just you have you can adjust good throttle, right? Like everything is good spring. I mean, it looks legit. It looks good. I I don’t know. I mean, I think it’s for 1,400 bucks, 60 volts. This is better than a lot of screws I tested in this price range. The link will be down below description box.
