I’m Amy, and my business is The Coffee Can Company. Although we wanted to open a shop
originally, the van’s actually ended up
being more beneficial for us, simply because they meant that we could immerse ourselves
in the community in different ways. We had spots on walking routes where we met people and made connections, a lot of which we still have now. On the lead up to buying a van,
followed a lot of people on social media doing similar things
to what I wanted to do. And in the end, I saw so many people with old and vintage cars, older vans in kind of these cool models, and they just were breaking down
all over the place, very unreliable, breaking down on the way to events. And when I asked my mum what kind of van
I should go for, she instantly said Ford. She said that they were reliable
and that they were a good price, and if anything did go wrong,
you could always get parts for them quickly, which is exactly what we needed
when people were kind of expecting us to be out the next day. They actually were also the perfect amount
of space in the back that we needed. Weirdly, also the exact height that we needed for
the countertop to also fit the fridge in. Ultimately, I think the Ford vans have made us… have made us flexible as a business,
made us adaptable. Through that,
we can continue to change with the times, and it’s great to be able
to use Ford to accommodate that.
