Mercedes-Benz Plug-in Hybrid GLC350e First Look! #mercedesbenz #hybrid #luxurycars
[Music] This is the Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e and is the third plug-in hybrid vehicle to join the brand’s local lineup this year. Let’s have a look around. It’s a 5seat midsize SUV that costs $99,900 before on-road costs. It has just gone on sale in September, so it’s very new. As standard, the GLC 350e gets an 11.9 in infotainment screen and 12.3 in digital instrument cluster with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, heated front seats with memory and lumbar support, and dual zone climate control. It also comes with 19in alloy wheels, privacy glass, and a 9- speakeraker sound system, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, 10 airbags, and a 360° camera. There’s a good amount of space here in the back seat for adults and children alike, and a large boot, too. The GLC 350e prioritizes electric power using its dual motors and 25.28 28 kWh battery pack over the petrol engine most of the time and as such has a claimed fuel economy figure of just 1.2 L per 100 km. It also has an electric only driving range claim of 132 km by the NEDC standard and this can be used at speeds of up to 140 km an hour. When it runs out of electric range, the GLC defaults to the 2 L 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine with 230 kW and 550 Nm sent to all four wheels through a N-speed automatic transmission. Using a DC charger, the battery can be topped up to 80% in around 20 minutes.
