Mercedes-Benz Plug-in Hybrid C350e First Look! #mercedesbenz #hybrid #luxurycars

This is the Mercedes-Benz C350e, a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle that has joined the brand’s local lineup since the C300E was axed back in 2021. Let me show you around. It’s a sedan that costs $98,200 before on-road costs and sits in the middle of the lineup based on the C300. With price parity being achieved now between the C300 and 350e, should you get the regular C-Class or the plug-in hybrid? Here’s a quick rundown. As standard, the C350e gets an 11.9 in infotainment screen, and a 12.3 in digital instrument cluster with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, heated front seats with memory and lumbar support, and dual zone climate control. It also comes with 18in alloy wheels, privacy glass, leather seats, and a 15 speakeraker Burmeister sound system, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, 10 airbags, and a 360° camera. There’s good space in the back seats for adults and children alike, and a decent size boot as well, though it is a little bit smaller than the regular C-Class. Take a look at how much leg room there is. The C350E has a single rear-mounted electric motor and a 19.53 kWh battery and has a claimed fuel economy figure of just 1.5 L per 100 km. When it runs out of electric range, the C350e defaults to the 2 L 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine with 230 kW and 550 Nm sent to the rear wheels through a N-speed automatic transmission. Using a DC charger, the battery can be topped up to 80% in around 20 minutes.
