Toyota made a MANUAL EV Corolla and it’s AWESOME

Check this out. You have a clutch pedal over here, a six-speed manual transmission, and under the hood is an electric motor. But the weirdest part is you can rev it. So, Toyota took a 4-year-old Corolla and put in the battery from a Lexus NX hybrid, and they took the electric motor from the hybrid Toyota Tundra, but they connected it to a six-speed male transmission to test out what the future of fun cars will feel like when they go electric. Inside, they added these brid bucket seats. There’s a full roll cage in here, this TRD steering wheel with a horn, and it has functional gauges. Now, they designed it to look like the AE86 from Initial D, but on the side, it says Deni Gosha, which means electric vehicle in Japanese. And this here means experimental. And they improved the suspension with Bilstein dampers, upgraded springs, and these Watsanabi 14-in wheels. Now, the electric motor only makes 130 horsepower, but they wanted to keep it close to what the original engine made to focus on the experience. And the range is only 60 miles. But this is just a prototype, so no one’s actually going to own or drive this.
