Kingbull Rover 2.0 Fat Tire E-Bike Review! (WHAT A BEAST)
and welcome back to the channel. On this video, we’re going to be reviewing the Kingbull Rover 2.0. First time seeing it on my channel, and thank you to King Bull for sending me this bike for review. So, there it is. Really cool looking bike. Right off the top, I’m going to tell you the price of this bike is $1399. And um you can find all the information in the description, like go to their uh site through the link in the description and it’ll give you the total information on the bike, but I’m going to go over some of the things that it has to offer, what features it has. So, first of all, it is a all-terrain fat tire eBike. 26×4 in CST tires as you see them right there. And I’ve got them maxed out at 30 PSI. I like to have mine um really pumped up good. And so that’s what I’ve got it at. It has a 750 W buffang motor in the rear right there. It has 80 new meters of torque. And I’ll tell you because I’ve ridden the bike a few times now, uh this bike has lots of get up and go. Um, let’s take take a look at the uh battery. I’m not going to take the battery out right now, but it’s right here. And it’s integrated here into the frame. You can charge it up right here. There’s a little charging plug right there. And it does come with a 3 amp uh 48vt charger. And to take it out, you just have to put your key in. And the keys are right here. By the way, they do give you two keys like most do. Um, just put your key in here, turn it, and then the battery battery will pop out. Pretty simple. I love the the integrated uh into the frame batteries. It makes the the bike have such a cool, neat, clean look, and this bike certainly has it. And the black really stands out. The bike does come in a uh black, as you see it right here, and a blue. It does have uh 180 mm rotors, disc brakes. They’re hydraulic and the they are two piston. And something this bike has that I have not had before, it’s the first time is torque sensor. And I really like that torque sensor. We’ll talk more when I go for a ride on the bike about that. It has a It’s a seven-speed Shimano. Here’s the shifter right here. There’s your derailure. It’s a 48 to chain ring right there. And it does have a full suspension. And there’s the look at the front fork. It has a 100 mm of travel. You can have you can preload and lock out, set it to whatever adjustment you like. And there’s the rear spring. And that’s got 50 U millimeters of travel. And this bike can accommodate any rider from 5’6 to 6’7. I have the seat down quite a bit cuz I’m only 5’9. It’s a It’s a darn big bike, I got to tell you. The width of this bike or the length of this bike is 75.5 inches. Now, that’s that’s a lot for a non-cargo ebike. You don’t see uh ebikes that long, unless they’re a cargo bike. And let’s turn on the display here. It’s got the same display that all King bikes have. Beautiful big display there. And it’s got your standard five pedal assist levels. It’s got your miles per hour, your battery power, u how much battery power you have left, and uh your trip meter and all that odometer. And it’s also got a headlight, which you’re not going to be able to see. Yeah, you can maybe see it just a bit. I don’t think you’re going to be able to make that over well, but anyway, there’s the headlight and the tail light. I did not put on the bike. I’m not a big fan of this tail light. I’m just going to show it to you right here. It’s just right there. And it just has a button on there that you can either have it solid, you can have it slowly flash, or fast flashing. And I’m not a big fan of that. I’d rather have it working with the bike um as far as um brake as a brake light, etc. So, I’m not a big fan of this. I did not put it on. So, that’s a look. And these brakes are Zoom. I don’t know if I mentioned that. They are Zoom brakes. Very good brakes on it. So, there’s a look at it. Now, let’s take it for a ride. Okay, now we’re on the bike and I want to point out a few things about the bike here. So, I did mention it has a uh 48vt 15 A battery which uh is supposed to get you up to 60 miles of range. I assume that would be in pedal assist one. And the top speed of this bike is 28 miles per hour. It is a class 3 ebike. I believe it only throttles to 20. Let’s test that to make sure here. Pedal assist 5. Yeah. So, it’s going to top out right around it did touch 21 there, but that’s where it’s going to max out on throttle only, which is pretty standard now with bikes. And then if you want to go beyond 20, you got to uh pedal it. It’s got very good brakes. I’m gonna hit the brake right here. Of course, I didn’t want to skid. I wanted to slow down as best I could without skidding, but I hit the skid. That’s okay. It’s got very good brakes, trust me. Uh, the other thing this bike has, it’s got 80 new meters of torque. But I tell you that compared to the other King Bull bikes that I have, I have the Light Rider and I have the 2.0 and I have the Hunter 2.0, this bike definitely has more torque. Even though they’re supposed to all have about the same, this one, you can really feel it. And I want to talk a little bit about the torque sensor because this is the first bike I’ve owned with a torque sensor. I really like the torque sensor. So, it gives you a little more truer pedaling, right? So, if you’re like I’ve had times where I didn’t want pedal assist 2 and I didn’t want pedal assist 3. I wanted something in the middle like pedal assist 2 for example on the other King Bull bikes will get you to 14 12 say miles per hour whereas pedal assist 3 gets you to 19 and 12. What if you want to go right in the middle? Sometimes I do you know I I don’t want the one’s too fast to keep up with other people and one’s too slow. So I sometimes want to be kind of in the middle. Well, the torque sensor kind of allows you to do that cuz it it’s only as hard as you pedal as to how fast you’re going to go. So, right now I’m in pedal assist 2 and I’m going 13 miles an hour. I’m going to I’m going to pedal a little harder. Well, I’m now going down a slight hill, but I do I do need to mention this bike is a little on the heavy side. It’s uh 80 lb and you can definitely notice the uh the extra weight. It’s probably due to the having the uh full suspension and it’s a bigger frame, a little bit bigger frame. So, that’s going to add some weight. Um I’m going to crank it up to three. Uh, so I have been riding this bike already, testing it out, and I got to tell you, this is going to be possibly uh the bike you’re going to see me ride a lot coming up because I really like this bike a lot. It’s got lots of uh zip, get up and go. It’s very rugged. um strong bike. It’s allterrain, so it is onroad off-road. You can do either or. It can handle it. And with that full suspension, that allows you to uh to go anywhere basically. It is a little bit heavy. If you are going off-roading, if to do uh if you’re doing some uh tight turns and all that, it may be a little bit trickier um because it’s a little bit heavier bike. Uh, one thing it does not have is it does not have fenders or the rear rack. But to be honest with you, I kind of like the fact that it has like I would trade off I think I would trade off the um the fenders and rear rack in this case for the um full suspension and for the torque sensor. But, you know, I don’t notice a lot of difference between the torque and cadence. It might depend on the bike. So, I can’t really say that it’s the same for all bikes cuz I don’t know. This is the only torque sensor bike I’ve tried. But, I really like it. It’s quiet. I mean, you can hear the motor a little bit, but I think you hear more of the humming of the tires on the road than you do the motor. Very smooth. Um, between the having the full suspension and having the fat tires, you get a really nice ride. So, that a lot of uh bumps get absorbed with that combination, which is really good. The bike is a little bit heavier. Like I say, 80 lbs. And most of the bikes like this style of bike might be more around 70. So, I’ll tell you 10 lbs extra. You can feel it for sure. Sometimes I ride out of the bike lane because there’s crap in the bike lane. So, I think uh King Bull has a winner on this one. If you want a bike that can can kind of do it all, I would prefer fenders probably on the bike uh as opposed to not having them, but uh I would just pick my spots. I would not want to ride this in on a rainy day or wet day, then I would just um ride a bike that I have with fenders. Or you can get fenders, I suppose, for it. But it does give the bike a different look without fenders. But it feels, I’ll tell you, like a beast. Like you can feel the thing about this bike to me is it feels like it has the power, you know, it has that that oomph. I can definitely um see myself riding this bike a lot coming up. Like I say, as long as it’s not wet outside. So, get ready to see uh more videos on this bike. And I do want to mention that the very first ride I took on this bike, I recorded it the first time I went out. I wanted to record the very first ride from the time I first got on the bike just to uh show you guys the first impressions that I had of the bike and you guys come with me, which I think is always interesting and cool. So, I did that and so that video is going to [Music] follow the review video that you’re going to see of this bike um at some point. within a video or two after that, you should see the uh the the one I did. I don’t know why I went down there. The one I did of the first ride. Okay, I’m in pedal assist three. Let’s crank it up before. See, I can tell you can tell the uh the difference between the torque sensor and cadence because cadence just goes full out right right away. This one, it felt me hitting the pedals a little harder and so it went faster right with me. Whereas cadence just goes all out. Okay, let’s crank it up. And I’m going to pedal faster. Go right up to five. It’s the same on this bike as their other bikes. They all go to around 27 or a little over. So, just it keeps it right at or just below 28. which uh you know for legal purposes that’s good because it keeps it right in line if you’re worried about abiding by the law. This bike is exactly that right. It has the pedal assist three or I mean class three pedal assist to 28 throttle to 20. So it does have that But if you want a true pedaling bike as opposed to like I say the cadence that just takes right off whatever assist level you’re at it just maxes out right. All right. Wish I had some uh good hills here. There’s not a lot of hills around my area to test the bike for hill climb. [Music] But watch for more videos on this bike. I’ll be definitely for sure be doing more. Good morning. I’m in pedal assist two now. I’m going to crank it to three. Very nice. I’ll tell you, I like having the full suspension. Like I say, I I think I I don’t mind sacrificing the fenders for a torque sensor. I kind of like this. The only other time I tried a torque sensor bike was a rental and it was terrible. I did not like it. It was clunky. It didn’t have no oomph. It was like a dud. Not impressive at all. So, you don’t want to go buy a rental bike as far as what a torque sensor bike has to offer. This thing is nice. Look, you can go whatever speed you want to go, how hard you want to pedal. King Bull is very impressive to me. They they are doing it right. And their prices, they’re keeping their prices uh budget friendly prices, which impresses me even more. I can’t say enough about this company. And once again, thank you to them for sending me this bike for review. This bike is definitely a two thumbs up for me. Love it. Look at how beautiful that black is. Really impressive. All right. So, that’s a look at the Kingbull Rover 2.0. And like I say, you’re going to see me do more videos for sure on this bike. And I do have one coming up. will it’ll be within a few videos of this one um showing my first uh ride first impression ride on the bike. So, that’s going to do it.
