Volkswagen ID.7 Bidirectional Charging
[Music] Birectional charging means that you can use your ID as electricity storage. You can charge your ID and feed the electricity back when needed. To make it work, you will need a photovoltaic system, an energy management system, and a birectional DC charging station. Sunshine will make your ID happy because it can store excess energy from your photovoltaic system and feed it back into your house when needed. With birectional charging, your ID can be charged and discharged within a range of 20 to 80%. Even taking into account your charging settings, for example, you always want your ID to be at a charge level of 40%. In this case, your ID will only release energy up to this level during birectional charging. This will keep you flexible to set off at any time. If you want to set the maximum charging level below 80%, you can do this via this setting. As soon as your ID is connected to the charging cable, activate birectional charging here. Charge smart. Store electricity and release it when needed. With the birectional charging function, your ID can do all this for you.
In this tutorial customers learn how bidirectional charging works and what settings are available for their car.
