2025 Toyota Camry vs 2025 Hyundai Sonata | Toyota

The 2025 Toyota Camry versus the 2025 Hyundai Sonata. Which of these midsize sedans offers the most well-rounded drive? Let’s find out. Camry’s standard hybrid powertrain means higher EPA estimated MPG ratings than Sonata. Camry’s up to 232 net combined horsepower means more standard horsepower than Sonata. Every Camry grade can be equipped with all-wheel drive while Sonata only offers it on one. Now, let’s put Camry and Sonata side by side. Camry’s lineup consists of four grades, LE and XLE, and the sport oriented SE and XSSE. The Hyundai Sonata is available in six separate grades. Every Camry can be equipped with all-wheel drive, while the Hyundai Sonata only offers this feature on the seal grade. Camry’s electrified drive really impresses. This starts with the standard 2.5 L Toyota hybrid system that makes 225 net combined horsepower on frontwheel drive models. That’s more than the Hyundai Sonata’s base 191 horsepower 2.5 L 4 cylinder and its available 2 L hybrid powertrain which produces 192 net combined horsepower. With all-wheel drive models, Camry ups the Annie to 232 net combined horsepower. Camry ups the fun factor with a sport tune suspension on the SE and XSSE grades, a feature that’s exclusive to the Nline grade in the case of Sonata. The drive is amped up further with Camry’s available electronic ondemand all-wheel drive system, which is offered on every grade. And while the Hyundai Sonata does offer all-wheel drive on the gas seal grade, its hybrid grades are strictly frontwheel drive. Camry also has up to an EPA estimated 51 MPG combined rating. That’s higher than the Hyundai Sonata’s up to an EPA estimated 47 MPGon combined. Camry’s lineup offers two distinct lines. The refined LE and XLE and the sporty SE and XSSE. Each one includes a specific front fascia, including a sport front mesh grill on SE and XSSE. These two trims also have racing inspired functional aerodynamic air ducts, front side canards, and rear lower diffusers. For an even sportier look, Camry SE includes a color keyed rear spoiler, while XSSE has a black painted one. The XSSE grades available two-tone exterior colors amplify Camry’s striking appearance, something that Sonata can’t match since there are no two-tone exterior colors altogether. Every Camry can also be equipped with an available moon roof or an available panoramic glass roof, whereas Sonata’s glass roof feature is limited to fewer grains. [Music] Step inside Camry’s interior and experience features that make every drive oh so comfortable. The first thing you notice is an available fully digital gauge cluster that’s designed to put all the key information right in the driver’s line of sight. And every grade comes standard with dual zone automatic climate control and rear seat air vents. The latter of which is only available on Sonata’s higher grades. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are also available on every Camry grade. Sonata does have available heated front seats, but its available heated steering wheel is for the limited grade only. Finally, Camry has standard chi compatible wireless charging while Sonata offers it only on the seal convenience grade and up. Camry’s Toyota audio multimedia platform has standard 8 in and available 12.3 in touchscreens. This interface includes standard wireless compatibility for Apple CarPlay, which connects drivers to the apps on their iPhone, including maps, messages, podcasts, and music subscriptions. In addition, wireless Android Auto compatibility makes it easy to stay connected to Android devices and access various apps and services from Google, including YouTube Music and Google Maps. Plus, there’s a standard 3month SiriusXM trial subscription that includes over 165 channels available in Cabin and even more on the Sirius XM app, making it easier than ever to enjoy not just adree music, but also sports, comedy, and more. Sonata comes standard with a 12.3 in touchscreen and wireless compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A Sirius XM trial is standard on all Sonata grades. Select Camry grades also include trials for Toyota’s line of connected services including Safety Connect, Service Connect, Remote Connect, Wi-Fi Connect, and Drive Connect. On the other hand, Hyundai Sonata has trials to Hyundai’s Blue Link Plus. Finally, Camry has an available JBL premium audio system, while Sonata has an available Bose premium audio system. All Camry grades come with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 system. This includes a pre-colision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, full speed range dynamic radar cruise control, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, and proactive driving assist. On the other hand, Sonata has the Hyundai Smart Sense suite of active safety and convenience features. Blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert and safe exit alert are also included as standard on every Camry grade. Sonata comes standard with blind spot collision warning, rear cross traffic collision avoidance assist, and safe exit warning. For added convenience, Camry’s available panoramic view monitor and available front and rear parking assist with automatic braking are designed to help make maneuvering through tight spaces easier. Camry also offers available features like front cross traffic alert, lane change assist, and traffic jam assist with an active drive connect trial or subscription. Sonata offers similar features, including forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian, cyclist, and junction turning detection, as well as highway driving assist. Camry brings strong value since it comes with Toyota Care, which includes 2 years or 25,000 mi of scheduled maintenance, whichever comes first, and 2 years unlimited mileage, 24-hour roadside assistance. The Sonata, on the other hand, comes with a 5year or 60,000 mi basic warranty, whichever comes first, a 10year or 100,000 mi powertrain warranty, whichever comes first, and 5 years unlimited miles roadside assistance. And since every Camry is a hybrid, it includes a hybrid system warranty that covers select components for 8 years or 100,000 mi, whichever comes first, and a 10-year or 150,000 mi hybrid battery warranty, whichever comes first. Sonata’s hybrid system and hybrid electric battery warranties all have a coverage of 10 years or 100,000 mi, whichever comes first. With its electrified and diverse lineup, Camry really sets the standard for midsize sedans. Discover Camry today at toyota.com. [Music]
