Remote Access
With Remote Access, your phone becomes your
key to staying in sync with your Volkswagen. While remote features vary depending on whether
you drive a gasoline model or electric vehicle, the convenience of connectivity is beautiful. Need
to check if the doors are locked? Done. Want to unlock them for a friend? Tap. Forgot to lock the
doors again? You’ve got this. If your vehicle is equipped with remote start, you can also start
the engine before heading out right from the myVW app. There’s more. Misplaced your car in
a crowded lot? Just pull up your last parked location and check how close you are by tapping
here. As you move closer, the map will tell you if you’re on the right track. Or you can honk
the horn and flash the headlights. Or do both! If you’re driving a gasoline model,
you can also check your trip stats, and set up vehicle alerts to monitor speed
and preset boundaries. You can even check for available parking, and if you have factory
navigation, send the address to your vehicle. And if you’re driving an electric vehicle,
you can search for charging stations too! EV owners can also start or stop charging, edit
charging locations and pre-condition the cabin so it’s warmed up or cooled down before
you even hit the road. The Remote Access plan duration depends on your model year. You
