2025 WEC 6 Hours of Fuji | Mustang GT3 | Ford Racing
[Music] Yeah, it’s great to be here in Japan and the Fuji Speedway. Such a great track, such a great place and atmosphere. The passion for motorsport is incredible from the from the people and the fans. And we’ll see that in the in the autograph session. There’s always big cues of people. Everyone’s super polite. [Music] Fuji is a interesting one. It’s got a bit of everything to be honest with you. You got high speed sections in sector sector one and then it goes into like a really tight section quite undulating section in sector 3 which kind of kills the tire as well. So sector 3 is the most challenging sector here in Fuji. The traction is also really really difficult. A lot of fast corner but slow corner also. You need a really good setup. The grip is quite low at the end of the second stance. We have been dialing in the car a lot to try to counter ourh difficulties. Our strength is definitely in sector one and two and we just have to survive in sector 3 and do the best we can [Music] [Applause] show some pace and short you know sister car qualified well we unfortunately had an engine issue so that put us out of qualify did a mega job with or to get the new engine in. We had a bit of damage at the beginning and and that was a bit tricky. So, we went a lap down, but luckily we actually got the lap back again later on. We were fighting top five potentially podium if we could save enough to to miss the last stop. Unfortunately, we missed out on uh on that so we had to come in and then we dropped back down to I think 11. Tricky one. We moved forward from the back. That’s a positive. We we suffered a bit in in the latter part of the stint on tiding. We could fight still and uh just couldn’t couldn’t quite get there in the end. [Music]
#MustangGT3 took on @FujiSpeedway, as @fiawec_official visited the island of Japan for its penultimate round of 2026. @ProtonCompetition battled the LMGT3 field fiercely, advancing at least one of its Mustangs to its seventh consecutive Hyperpole of the season.
