ZEEKR 007GT: The ESTATE we are waiting for! – Chengdu Ep4
Hello and welcome to It’s Only Electric. Today we’re at the Shangdu Motor Show in China. Yes. And we are going to look at the most interesting brands and models available on the Chinese market, but focusing on the European market. This is the fourth episode of our Shangdu Motor Show series. And in this episode, we will focus on one of my favorite cars, the Ziker 007 GT. It’s only electric. So, here behind me, we have a very special car, at least for me, cuz I own the Ziker 7X, the SUV version of this one. And this is the Ziker 007 GT. And GT stands for shooting brake or station wagon. So, this is a car that really would fit the European market good. It of course has a couple of different settings depending on the country, but if you look at the Chinese version, you will have this special light bar here. I don’t know if it’s active now, but this lights up with animations, etc., but it is not legal in Europe, so you won’t get that starlight design or star- shaped front. Otherwise, a great color, really nice uh contrasts with the black details. But we should move on backwards cuz this has the same specifications as the SUV version has. So all-wheel drive, 640 horsepower almost 0 to 100 in 3.2 seconds. So it’s quicker than its bigger SUV sibling and of course 800 W charging, 5C charging, which means that it has a top speed of 480 kW. There’s a lot of things happening around me here, but if you look at the boot, because this is one of the main attractions. If you don’t like a SUV, but still want a practical car, the GT version is something for you. Cuz here, it hides 462 L of boot space. So, almost 500. And on top of that, you have the frunk in the front. So, in total, over 500 L. You have the extra storage underneath here. Uh, and the second floor, which you can store some cables, etc. exactly as in the SUV version and the same layout and setup for the seats. So you have a split 4060 with a loading hatch in the middle for loading skis etc. Uh one good thing we can close it. Another good thing a good feature of GTS as you have on SUVs is the rails. So, you also get the rails on the GT version, which means that we can add uh a roof rack on top of it. This is really the essence of the GT version, and I hope to get it as quick as possible through Europe, cuz I think this is one of the best offers available on the market now. So, I’m immediately see first off, the seats looks a bit different, but also this is not the privileged seats. So you see it’s mixed materials Alcantara and this fake leatherrett uh what you get in the privilege version in in Europe you get uh the real letter Napa letter. So it’s a different layout and setup but it is also uh a bit different when it comes to the dashboard and the material choices. It’s it’s a bit different here. You see this is not as bulky as it is in the SUV version. Ambient lighting also looks different. You have the same screen layout, the dual screen setup with the 16in screen and the 13-in instrument cluster paired with the big HUD uh head-up display. On top of that, you also have the Zer sound system, the same sound system as I have in this SUV version. This is also the control panel with the physical buttons. Also really nice, good usability, dual uh G charging layout, ventilated of course. And this part also looks a bit different. It’s a bit of a grab handles, more sporty layout compared to the SUV version. U and I like this light tan gray combination. It’s it’s uplifting. And to be honest, I think this uh not privilege or premium seats, they feel good. Uh this is really a nice seat setup. You also have different patterns here at the door sides. But all in all, I mean, you have really nice touch and feel to everything in the car. If rightly priced, I think this will be a really good seller cuz this is what Europe needs, a good GT or a shooting brake. Let’s try out the back seat. One thing I immediately discover is that the rear windows is insulated, so it’s dual ping glass. I don’t have that in the Zer 7X SUV at home. even if you go for the privileged version. So, it’s possible to get it with insulation glass which will give you a more silent cabin. When it comes to space, I think this goes for all the 007s or the 7 series from Ziker. It’s great. I mean, the back seat you see here, this front seat is adjusted after my drive position and it’s plenty of space. It’s plenty of space. And as in the SUV, you can also adjust the back rest. You have buttons for that. and uh not the best thigh support in the world, but okay. For instance, the MG4 surprisingly had better thigh support and slightly better room for your feet underneath the seats. The SUV version though has the seats higher up, so you get more feet uh space. The cushioning, the the plush seats are really comfortable. You have the same exact same type of armrest here in the middle with the USB ports that doesn’t exist on this version. It’s probably a higher trim level. Just to to close this video in a good way, uh this is our first time in China in Changdu and we have had a great time and we most certainly will come back to other fairs like the Shanghai Auto Show, etc. because this is really where stuff happens now. It is. It is. and and we have really got a good view on how the industry works. Yeah. And it’s even more dynamic and bigger than we thought. It is. There’s a lot of brands we didn’t cover here because they’re not relevant for us in Europe and the rest of the world. Pure Chinese brands and we don’t know if they come or will not come. We have no idea. But like the market is so different here. Yeah. So different. uh you see that both in the design but also in the what the consumers want. All that combined we see the leap in technology the leap in design and we see that now the European brands tend to follow the Chinese design instead of vice versa. Exactly.
