So we can start something all new. I’m Kayana and this is more than just the new generation of the BMW sports activity vehicle that we know and love. I’m Paul and this is the allnew BMW i3. It offers the first BMW panoramic iDrive and the BMW operating system X. So, let us show you what it really means to have a personal, intuitive user experience with your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel. Enough talking about new ways to experience and control driving pleasure. Time to actually drive the first BMW in which the heart of joy and the BMW dynamic performance control completely rethink performance, dynamics, and comfort. Over two decades of BMW efficient dynamics have led up to this new generation of BMW electric drive, battery, and charging technology. Now, let us show you why the new BMW i3 offers the best driving range, charging speed, and efficiency in its class. And it doesn’t simply show a new design. Let’s take a look at the first model that takes the true sports activity vehicle proportions and visual DNA of BMW into an all new era. I know what my first thoughts are when I see this new face. This is a BMW. But Oliver, speaking about the Nea Classic as a whole idea and concept, what are the thoughts behind the design of the new BMW iX3 and and what can you see here? So KF, thank you very much. You see a BMW, which is important, and I would like to lead you through our thoughts regarding the new BMW i3. The front end shows a new interpretation of the BMW face in which we replaced chrome with light. Vertically oriented kidneys match the overall more upright appearance of our BMW i3. Looking at the all-new BMW i3 from the side, I can really tell what BMW understands by a true SUV. How’s this achieved, Oliver? So, first of all, the design is clean and robust. And what you find is BMW typical SUV proportions with a lot of presence and emphasis on all four wheels. The surface treatment is clean and emotional, but with just a few precise lines. A panoramic glass roof and large windows generate an airy cabin, which is flooded with light. This model here has one of our new body colors, which we call ocean wave blue. For us, it’s a perfect and sporty match with our individual wheels. And seen from behind, this is just how a BMW sits on the road, right? Exactly. The car has a solid stance and wide shoulders, and that’s something we combined with optimized aerodynamics. Precise light signature emphasizes the width of the car, and that makes our BMW recognizable by day and by night. Not even the door handles stand out from the smooth side surfaces, except when they automatically extend when you approach. And the new welcome light animation. Now that’s what I call an entrance. This is where the first connected feature highlight comes into play. The BMW digital key plus. This or this is now ultimately your primary BMW vehicle key. Using the new setup card, you can roll all your connection setup processes into one. Set up your BMW digital key plus on your smartphone and your compatible smartwatch and link your BMW ID and your My BMW app to your vehicle along the way. That’s where your very personal experience with this car starts. The welcome orchestration continues in here. And there it is. Your BMW ID with your personal settings is already activated. And the first ever BMW panoramic iDrive with BMW operating system X. This is the allnew joy of interacting with the new BMW iX3. It’s complete reinterpretation of BMW driver focus and ergonomics. The guiding principle is hands on the wheel, eyes on the road. This is why you can see all the information you want when you need it in the BMW panoramic vision display. It’s projected right in front of you as you look ahead. For the first time, the display stretches across your field of vision and the entire width of the windscreen. BMW Panoramic iDrive is about more than intuitive control. So, the central display not only brings a new sense of driver orientation with its freecut design, it offers full control over the all-new BMW operating system X with an easy reach from both front seats. This new user interface is fully focused on speech and touch control. The optional BMW 3D head-up display completes the visual engagement while driving. It shows additional precise 3D visuals of driving navigation and driver assistance information just in the driver’s line of sight. And when we say hands on the wheel, we don’t mean just any steering wheel. The multi-functional steering wheel in its unique design features control elements. These touch controls give active haptic feedback. They make intuitive operation of all relevant display and vehicle functions even more intuitive. For example, the driving assistance buttons are only visible in relevant situations. Hey BMW, my hands are cold. Steering wheel heating increased to level one. This is how natural it feels to talk to the new BMW intelligent personal assistant. As ever, you can control all kinds of vehicle, entertainment, and communication functions using your voice. The assistant is based on a brand new interaction behavior with improved language understanding and response. It has a new look and a new voice. It also helps you explore features, and it builds on your user habits with intelligent functions and routines. Comprehensive user experience doesn’t stop there. The BMW panoramic vision display shows essential driving and assistance displays right in front of the driver. The other part contains additional vehicle and journey information, navigation, charging, and infotainment app content. You can either choose your preferred widgets for it or use the preset dashboard apps. So as far as the additional panoramic iDrive displays are concerned also the front passenger and even the rear seat passengers get their own good view. [Music] Moving on to the design of our interior. It makes a bold statement in terms of modernity and digital experience. The lines in the dashboard continue seamlessly into the doors and that generates a welcoming cockpit. The interior trim digital white even enhances this effect. The brightness and airiness are maxed out by the panoramic roof with climate comfort glass. Its new technology offers enhanced properties for efficient climate control and 100% UV light protection. And it stretches all the way back here. It’s just one part extending the ambiencece seamlessly into the rear. The other is the design. The new BMW EX-3 offers four different interior designs, each with a different twist and atmosphere, all of them based on carefully curated materials, whichever makes it your personal space and statement. There’s, for example, the contemporary interior with a completely vegan upholstery in Vaganza. The standard seats offer all the comfort and support you could want with sixway electric adjustment. The multi-functional seats add more ways to make yourself at home. Extended adjustability with lumbar support and massage functionality. They also include the possibility for the rear seat passengers to attach the travel and comfort accessories and plug in their devices. And the M Sport seats add there. Well, exactly what the M adds. Extra support and adjustment for ambitious driving and a sportier look. The openness also comes from the floating center console. And finishing off the looks, new ambient lighting, individually adjustable, of course. It even shines through the textile dashboard surfaces. Beautiful design and seating comfort in the rear is one thing. There’s also plenty of headroom and knee room. The back rests are adjustable. There’s a foldable middle armrest with cup holders and an optional climate control touch display. And here come all the other practical features of the new BMW iix3. The boot has a volume of 520 L expandable up to 1,750 L by the 40 2040 foldable rear seat back rest. The removable and foldable cover can easily be stored in the underlo compartment. An optional trailer tow hitch enables a towing capability of up to two tons. A roof rack can be mounted directly onto the roof for additional luggage systems. And there are 58 L of front luggage compartment, not just for storing mobile charging equipment. Oh, and you might wonder where in this clear new layout you can find the start stop switch. Well, to get the car ready, press the brake pedal, shift, and start experiencing the pleasure, ease, and precision of driving the allnew BMW i3. It’s a new generation of BMW electric drive, high voltage system, and electronic vehicle control. For the first time in the new BMW i3, every aspect of driving pleasure is bound together in one comprehensive, intelligent system. The heart of joy control unit and the BMW dynamic performance control software coordinate all relevant drive and dynamics processes. Together they bring you effortless agility and safety, acceleration, braking and brake energy regeneration with unprecedented smoothness and efficiency and the dynamics that only the ultimate driving machine can deliver. In numbers, two electric motors drive all four wheels of the BMW EX-350X drive with a maximum power of 345 kW and 645 new m of torque. The comprehensive system approach enables an acceleration from 0 to 100 kmh or 0 to 60 mph in under 5 seconds. It’s also responsible for smooth stops with brake energy recovery until the vehicle comes to a halt. At the same time, this model offers a newly developed high voltage battery with an energy content of 108 kwatt hours and a host of further efficiency measures throughout the vehicle. The results are the lowest energy consumption in a BMW yet and a maximum driving range of over 800 km. Whether it’s long journeys, daily commute, or a short trip in the city, advanced BMW driver assistance systems provide seamless convenience and safety. A great range of features is included as a standard and assists you in keeping your lane, your speed, and distance in traffic. Of course, parking support is a standard, too. The great news is all the sensor and camera technology that is also necessary for additional features is already in place. This way, you can either choose these options initially or add them later as a BMW connected drive upgrade. For example, the highway assistant for hands-free driving up to 130 km hour. Not to forget the BMW Maps navigation system supporting you to plan your trips and find your way. Its new user interface in the BMW panoramic iDrive offers enhanced real-time information on traffic, charging possibilities, and points of interest. For example, with the intelligent charging optimized route guidance. [Music] Let’s talk more about charging then and about how BMW charging enriches your life with the new BMW i3. The intelligent charging flap is an all new feature. It makes every charging process more convenient. Just like the intuitive new charging overview in the BMW panoramic iDrive. Another first is the 800vt charging technology. It enables up to 400 kW of DC charging power. This means the quickest you can charge the new BMW EX-3 on the go is gaining over 350 km or 217 mi of range in 10 minutes. For charging at home and in public, the BMW iX3 offers 11 kW of AC charging power as a standard. The charging professional option, on the other hand, opens new levels of flexibility. It provides up to 22 kW of AC charging power and for the first time birectional charging. Birectional charging means among other things you can use the high voltage battery of this vehicle as a powerful mobile power bank. This is one of the purposes of the new multi-function charger. It’s a flexible all-in-one solution thanks to multiple household and high voltage adapters. With the additional vehicle to load adapter, you can even supply one or more devices with the energy from your car wherever you need them. The new vehicle to home and vehicle to grid functionalities make the new BMW EX-3 also an energy storage for your home. You can save money by feeding the power stored in the high voltage battery back to supply your household. Or you can integrate the vehicle into the energy market. And the key to that is the new BMW wallbox professional. And while charging, well, for one thing, you can supervise your charging processes with the My BMW app in real time. You can plan, manage, and control all your home and public charging with it. For another, the BMW connected drive store in the new BMW EX-3 offers plenty to pass the time during a charging break. Stay productive with the newly available Zoom app. Or enjoy the new offer of audio, video streaming, and video gaming apps. You can use those with your own Wi-Fi or mobile hotspot, or just unlock the full digital potential of the car with BMW Digital Premium. This offer includes the necessary mobile data with expanded access to third-party apps. Additionally, it includes a range of advanced connected security features in the security assistant.
