New Citroën C3 Walkaround
[Music] Hello and welcome to this guide to the C3, the Super Mini from Citroen that’s big on comfort, space, and specification, but compact enough to feel right at home in the city. C3 uses SUV styling cues to give it exceptional presence on the road despite its small footprint. The vertical appearance of the front of the car finished with this lower skid plate give it that big car look and these large diamond cut alloy wheels, wheel arch surrounds and lower body trims give it an elevated stance. Actually, new C3 is a little taller than most other super minis, and we’ve used this height to create more room inside the car and a higher seating position, meaning it’s easier to get into and out of and gives the driver and passengers a better view out. The big windscreen and windows give excellent visibility, but also enhance the feeling of space inside. And at the top, these roof rails and the contrasting roof color give the car a stylish and robust appearance. The boot offers 310 L of space and the square opening means it’s really simple to load. The rear seats easily fold down to give just under,200 L of space, more than enough for a trip to the DIY supertore. [Music] Let’s look inside the passenger cabin. Our designers have paid close attention to every element of this interior to create an open, airy environment. All around the cabin, we’ve chosen upholstery and surface finishes that really lift the atmosphere. Our signature advanced comfort seats have a special structure with a core of durable highdensity foam and an upper layer of soft textured foam like a pillow top mattress giving you the perfect blend of exceptional comfort and long-lasting support even on the longest journeys. Moving then to the dashboard. The top layer is all about technology and it houses the Citroen head-up display. This display is positioned high on the dashboard viewed above the steering wheel and gives you all the information you need in your field of view. In the center, you have this 10.25 in touchscreen. It comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support as standard and is your gateway to radio, media, and navigation. Moving down the dashboard, in the middle you have what we call the sofa layer with this soft touch fabric making a contrast with the black upper dashboard layer. Finally, the lower layer contains functional elements such as the air conditioning controls and these driving assistance controls to the right of the steering wheel. What you can’t see making a big difference is our advanced comfort suspension, which uses our patented progressive hydraulic cushions to make C3s ride more comfortable than many bigger or much more expensive cars. even over Britain’s imperfect roads. Because of C3’s clever use of space, its quiet powertrains, and its comfortable seats, hushed soundproofing, and super smooth suspension, it delivers the kind of refinement you don’t expect in a car this small or affordable. No matter which C3 you choose, you’ll benefit from a generous level of specification. In addition to the technology, styling, and comfort features already mentioned, all versions get rear parking sensors and a suite of driver assistance systems such as active safety brake, which automatically applies the vehicle’s brakes under certain circumstances to avoid a collision, and speed limit sign recognition, which helps you to ensure you always know the speed limit, even if you didn’t see the sign. By stepping up through the range, you can add built-in 3D satellite navigation, wireless smartphone charging, and the winter pack, which brings heated front seats, a heated windscreen, and the little luxury of a heated steering wheel. New C3 is available as a fully electric car, the EC3, with 200 m of range. Using a wallbox at home, you can charge from empty to full in under 7 hours. But EC3 is ready for longer journeys, too. It can support 100 kW DC charging as standard, meaning that while you’re on the move, you can use public rapid charges to get from 20 to 80% charge in as little as 26 minutes. So, by the time you finished your coffee, you’re ready to get out on the road again with smooth, linear acceleration, excellent torque, and no pauses for gear change. EC3 offers a superior driving experience that will win you and your passengers over instantly. If you’re not quite ready for full electric, though, don’t worry. We’ve still got a C3 for you. Our hybrid C3 offers the best of our petrol engine know-how with a smooth refinement of electric power, and you don’t need to plug it in. Around town, our hybrid system comes into its own, spending up to 50% of urban driving in full electric mode, saving you money.
