Jett Lawrence Takes Back the 450 AMA Pro Motocross Crown | Honda HRC Progressive
and 6 and0 of the 450 class. Shen Lawrence is back 1-1 at round one. Coming back, we really weren’t sure where we were going to be both physically and and bike for both guys coming off the injuries. Obviously, we came into Paula and and we knew, all right, we’re we’re in this for the year. And the team did a ton of work through the year. Continued to get the bike better and better. And you could feel it from the really from the start that we had a great shot doing what we did. This year 2025 was a little bit unorthodox. You know, working the whole thing with Jet, trying to get him back and then Hunter at the same time, trying to improve what we had last year with it with this 2025 CRF450. We we were able to do that and put a lot of work in and then come to the first race prepared and then from then on, we’re just kind of a dream. It ended up being a really incredible year from something that started off being, you know, really tough. Jet Lawrence overcoming some adversity. Yes. The two long championship runs, Supercross and Motocross backto back injuries, costing him a chance to contend for those. He comes back to the place where he won his first 450 title. And Jet Lawrence is once again the 450 motocross champion. Checks the box. It’s always good to progress and and rebound and and and improve. You know, that’s all you all you’re ever looking to do is go to work for the day and come home and know you’ve made a difference and you’ve made a slight improvement. So, really pumped with how hard the team worked this year to get the bike in the window and just to do what the boys did in the outdoors. Hunter was a little better this year, you know, just like each year just hopefully progressing that little bit. So, no pumped. You got to be happy. Just any progression you make, you got to be happy. They did their job to come back and really dominate this year. It’s unbelievable what we’ve done. So, I’m super proud of the riders and what they’re able to do and how hard they work. And also our crew. We hustled to make sure this outdoor season went the way it did. And I’m super proud of everyone involved. I think this is the hardest we’ve ever worked to achieve a goal like this. And it’s really paid off. receiving all these awards at the end of the year for team of the year, team manager of the year, manufacturer of the year. For me, I I just feel incredibly lucky to be in the position I’m in. It’s just kind of a dream come true. Mona win goes to Hunter Lawrence, but Jim Lawrence going to end the year the way he did it at the beginning. Worked my butt off, you know, worked my butt off to make it back and it’s been a hell of a season. You know, I only lost two overalls, which is sick. The team was great. Hunter was up there, too. Got second overall. So, it’s been a good year. A lot of tough days testing behind the scenes that no one sees. A lot of days of scratching our head. A lot of days of bashing our heads up against the wall and trying to figure it out. But, we always come to a team as come together as a team and figure it out. So, it’s cool, man. Honestly, we love these guys and they work just as hard as us. And and it’s awesome. As for the team, I think it’s really cool to have both of us up there. You don’t really get that much in our sport of having both of their athletes, one and two in a in a series. We had it last year obviously in SMX. So, I think it’s really cool for the team. I’m pumped for them. We work our butt off for the team and they do the same for us. So, I’m I’m just really pumped for the team and getting this win for them and Hunter getting P2 as well. So, no, big thank you to them and it’s been a awesome motocross season so far and we’re looking forward to SMX.
This one just hits different… 🏆
Less than a week after his 22nd birthday, Jett Lawrence clinched the 2025 450 AMA Pro Motocross National Championship one round early. He first claimed the crown two years ago in his rookie premier-class season, but an injury last year cut short his title defense. This marks the 9th professional title in his still-young career, and it comes during a year that also saw him forced to recover from a torn ACL that cost him a chance to defend his 2024 450 AMA Supercross Championship.
On behalf of everyone at American Honda, congratulations to Jett and the entire Honda HRC Progressive team on another unforgettable championship run.
Next up, the team will take on the three-round SuperMotocross series, in which Jett will defend his perfect record as premier-class champion.
