*NEW* Best 1st e-bike
Biking through Georgetown in Northwest DC, I found myself at a local Trek shop and was inspired to check out two great commuter e-bikes for a friend: the FX+ 1S and the FX+ 7S. I’ve owned one of these, and both are fantastic Class 3 e-bikes built for city riding and commuting.
The FX+ 1S features a powerful 500W hub motor. It’s an incredible value that delivers reliable performance for daily rides. The more premium FX+ 7S steps up the game with a mid-drive motor. It’s a more expensive bike with a premium build, but it’s perfect for riders who want the best.
For long-distance commuters like me, the FX+ 7S has a huge advantage: the ability to add a range extender. With an internal battery on both bikes, you can’t easily carry the battery inside to charge, but with the FX+ 7S you get significantly more mileage and can bring the external range extender in with you if needed.
