TATA Harrier EV Review 2025 | 627KM Range Electric SUV with All-Wheel Drive| Electric Vehicles India
Friends, finally here we have Tata Harrier EV
recently launched model from Tata.ev. As per Tata, this is the most capable, luxurious and smart
SUV. So in this video, let’s find out how smart it is and how luxurious it is. This is the first
time Tata.e has launched an electric car with all-wheel drive and this is the biggest battery
pack available in the whole Tata EV lineup till now. So in this video let’s know complete details
about this Tata Harrier EV. So without any delay let’s dive into the video and before that this is
Zit and you’re watching electric vehicles India. Friends here we have Tata Harrier EV. So first
let’s start from the key. So this is the new key fob provided by Tata for this Tata Harrier EV. In
this key fob we’ll have eight to 11 functions. So the basic functions are lock and unlock and you
can on and off the headlamps and you can open the tailgate from here and with the help of these
four buttons you can control the parking features of it. So the starter Harrier EV comes with auto
parking features. As of now the battery inside this key fob is very low. So we can’t access or
we can’t demonstrate the auto parking features in this. But with the help of these four buttons
you can move this electric car front and rear without any driver. So if you’re stuck in a tight
parking situation, with the help of this key, you can get out of that parking without going inside
the car. So this will be really helpful when you are stuck in tight parking conditions or if you
park your electric car inside a mall. And along with this key fob, Tata is also providing a NFC
card. So this is the first time a Tata electric car coming with a NFC card. So you can unlock this
electric car in four ways. The first way with the help of this key fob. Second way with the help of
this NFC card. Third way there will be a physical key you will get with this electric car when you
buy it. And the fourth option is with the mobile application. Now let’s see the front part of this
electric car. So compared to IC Harrier there are nothing much changes in the front part. The grill
here the grill has been completely closed. Here we have the Tata.e logo along with the camera
under it. So we’ll get a camera there as well as here. Here is the radar sensor. So we’ll get
level two add features with this Tata Harrier EV electric car. And here there are two air vents
for the radiator. So the front is a combination of three colors. Car color, here is the matte black
and here is the chrome. So the front part looks like this. There are four parking sensors at the
front. And coming to the lights, this is the DRL. So we’ll get continuous LED DRL with this. And
this is the headlamp and these are the fog lamps. These are by projector LED headlamps. So the front
part of the Tarta Harrier EV looks like this. Now let’s open the bonnet and let’s see how the frunk
inside it looks. So inside this bonnet we’ll get a small frunk. So this is a 35 L frank. If you
offer quadwheel drive variant you will get 35 L of frunk. If you offer rear wheel drive variant
you’ll get 67 L of frunk. So in this all-wheel drive variant there will be a motor under this
frunk. So you have to compromise on the capacity of this frunk. But if you offer rear wheel drive
there won’t be any motor. So in that case you will get 67 L of frunk inside this bonnet. Now let’s go
to the side part. Now coming to the side part. So this is how the side part of this Tata Harrier EV
looks. So here we have 19 in alloy wheels. As is a top- end variant, you are getting 19 in wheels.
If you go for low-end variants, you’ll get 18 in of wheels. Now coming to the dimensions, the
overall length of this electric car is 4,67 mm. The wheelbase of this starter Harrier EV is
2745 mm. The width of this electric car is 1922 mm and the height of this electric car is 1740
mm. So compared to IC Harrier, there are no major differences in the dimensions of this Harrier
electric car. And looking at the other details at the side part here, we’ll get EV logo and this is
the OVM integrated with the side indicators. Here we have the side camera and under this we have
a small hole. So basically this is a projector. At the night times, this will project Harrier EV
badging on the road. It will also illuminate this dot EV. At the night times, the look of the side
part will be very beautiful. Here we have the two handlebars at the side. And this is the charging
port. As all electric cars will get CCS type 2 port inside this Tata Harrier EV and these are
also 19 in wheels. And coming to the rear part here, we’ll get continuous LED tail lamp along
with the tail lamp here and the tail lamp here. So these are the lights. So when you switch on
the reverse mode in it, those lights will blink. And coming to the rear side here, we have Harrier
Eevee badging along with the Tata. Eevee badging over here. We’ll get a rear camera here as well
as we’ll get a camera on the shark fin antenna. So how the camera on the shark fin antenna
works? I’ll let you know once I’ll get inside this electric car. Here we’ll have stop lamp. Here
we have the wiper along with a defoger. So this is how the rear part of this Tata Harrier EV looks.
We have four parking sensors at the rear. So the rear part is also combination of three colors. The
car color, black color and the chrome finish. So overall this is how the rear part and the side
part. I mean the overall 360 view of this Tata Harrier EV looks. Now let’s get inside and let’s
see how luxurious are the interiors of this Tata Harrier EV is. Friends, first let’s get into the
rear cabin. So the build quality of this door is phenomenal. So we can find out the build quality
of this Tata electric cars in terms of the build quality of this door, the side panel quality,
especially the bonnet. All these will be very high quality in this Tata electric cars. Now let’s
get inside this Harrier EV. So you’ll get a step while entering into the rear cabin of this Tata
Harrier EV electric car. So there is a handle to hold I mean to open and close this electric car.
Tata has given a handle and this is the lever. It’s finished in the chrome. So we have some hard
plastic along with the soft touch materials on the door. And here we have this blind shade. So on
both these doors you’ll get this blind shades. And let me close this. So as you heard the build
quality is phenomenal in this Harrier EV. You’ll get 10 speaker surrounded JBL system in this Tata
Harrier EV electric car. And talking about the comfort, the comfort inside the second row of this
Tata Harrier EV is very good. The cushion inside the seats are very smooth and we’ll get special
headrest for the two passengers. So, three people can easily sit inside the rear cabin. We have a
center armrest along with two cup holders inside it. And even if you close this center armrest, the
middle person can comfortably sit inside it. So, we have AC vents on the pillars and we have two 65
W type-C chargers on the middle pillar. So overall leg room, under thigh support, hip support,
everything is comfortable inside this Tata Harrier EV. And this also comes with boss mode.
That means with the help of these four buttons, you can control the front passenger seat of this
electric car. So for example, if you are sitting here, you are not comfortable here, you can
adjust the front passenger seat with the help of these four buttons. This is called boss mode.
So this is all about the second row. Now let’s get into the first row and let’s see what are all the
features we are getting in the first row. Friends coming to the interiors. First let’s start from
the feel. So everything you see in this interiors are of soft and hard touch materials but the
feel of this materials are very smooth. So this is a four-spoke new steering wheel. Tata
logo with the illuminated function. From here we can access the horn. This left side button
help us to access this media controls and right side buttons are helpful for level two addash
functions. From here you can set cruise control, lane departure assist and other functions. So
these are the controls we have on the steering wheel. So coming to the touch field everything
is smooth. So this is a hard touch. These are the soft touches but the feel is very premium.
So here we have an AC vent and start and stop button. And coming to the dashboard, this is hard
touch plastic in the white piano finish. This is the black piano finish and this is the soft touch
materials with the blue color stitching on it. So the attention to detail inside this electric
car is very good. And here we have the ambient lighting. So this is again a soft touch material.
So everything is soft touch and hard touch. But the looks and the ambience inside the cabin
is very premium. I think these are not leather seats but I think these are made up of recycled
materials. Here we have a glove box and I think it has cooling function inside it. And talking
about the display, this is 10.2 in driver display. So on the right hand side we can see the speed.
On the left hand side we can see the estimated range with the 69% of the battery left inside this
car. We can go 247 kilometers of range and on the top we can see the time and other warnings.
So in the middle we can see many details. So currently it’s showing FM radio details. Here
we have the autometer and uh the driving mode which we are driving in. So this electric car has
four modes eco, city, sports and boost mode. So from here we can access the boost mode. If you
engage this electric car into the boost mode, it can go 0 to 100 kmp speed in just 6.3 seconds.
And coming to this, this is a 14.5 in Samsung Neo OLED display. So this is the first time a OEM
is using a OLED display inside an electric car and the viewing experience of this display is
phenomenon. I’ll let you know what are all the features it has in a while. So before that, let
me access the sunroof. This has voice assisted sunroof. Now let me open the sunroof with the
help of voice assistance. Hey Tata, open sunroof. Sure. Opening. See it’s opening the sunroof. And coming down here we have the air vents.
And these are the controls to control the AC settings as well as you can open the boot from
here. You can lock and unlock the car from here. You can access 360° camera from here as you can
see there. And I think you can set cruise control from here. So this has dual climate control.
So for the passenger as well as the driver, you can set different temperatures. So coming
down here we have two charging ports. One is of type-C and one is of micro USB. So currently I’m
charging my GoPro charger over here. And under this you have wireless charging pad. And here we
have a dial to switch between the driving modes. So you have six different modes. Currently it’s
in normal mode. And if I rotate it here we have snow or grass mode. And next is mud or ruts mode.
And the next one is sand mode. And the next one is rock or crawl mode. And the last one is custom
mode. So based on the roads and terrains which you are riding, you can switch between these different
modes. So these modes acts based on your terrain or road. On the left side we have two buttons.
This is for eco mode. This is for boost mode. And on the right side too, we have two buttons.
This is for sports mode. And the other is for parking assistance. I’ll show you how the parking
assistance in this starter Harrier EV works in a while. And here we have a gear rod. So with the
help of this we can switch between reverse mode, neutral mode and drive mode. Here we have
a parking button. Here we have electronic parking brake along with auto hold button. Here we
have three cup holders and this is a small glove box. Inside it we have 12vt socket, two charging
ports, one is a type-C and the other one is micro USB. And this handrest is movable. So it can move
like this. And next coming to the IRVM as you can see. So this is a digital IRVM. If you remember a
while back I shon a camera which is mounted on the shark fin antenna. So we can see the rear view
with the help of that camera. If you don’t want this you can switch off this. Now you can see the
regular mirror. If you switch on this you can see the camera angle over here. And you can switch
to front camera as well. So this is the front view and this is the rear view. And you have the
split view too. Currently it doesn’t had an SD card. So that’s why it’s showing SD card error. So
inbuilt you will get a 32GB of memory. Externally you can add a memory card too. So it can record.
It acts like a dash cam for front view as well as rear view. It can also take pictures and you can
access those pictures and videos from this 14.5 in display. And coming to the controls of this
display. So if I pull this down here we have brightness setting and next we have music setting,
device list, Wi-Fi, surround view, auto park assist. I’ll show you how this auto park assist
works. Here we have reverse assist, notification, tata assist, navigation, mood lighting. So this is
basically ambient lighting. Here you can see the lights are changing. Currently this is in blue and
now it goes to green. And next we have JBL mode and we have silent mode and drift mode. You can
switch off and switch on drift mode inside this electric car. And this is the home screen. On the
home screen you have AC settings, FM settings and if you pair your device it will show you here. And
we can add widgets here. And if I swipe left here, it shows the battery details, energy consumption
and the battery. It has the estimated range. All this information will be shown here. And coming to
the gallery, we have Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, air quality index, arcade, EV
app, auto parking assist, climate control, custom terrain mode, digital access, Dolby Atmos.
So it has 10 speaker, 10 system JBL speaker Dolby Atmos. So the experience inside this Dolby
Atmos is amazing. And the viewing angles inside this 14.5 in display is also phenomenal.
So the audio experience inside this Harrier EV is going to be topnotch. And you have EV mode,
image viewer, JBL modes, media, mood lighting, I mean ambient lighting, navigation, phone
setting, quick settings, reverse assist, radio and settings, share my location, silent
mode, surround view, Tata assist, video player, voice assistance, and war three words. So these
are the options or the apps you’ll get inside this 14.5 in display. You’ll also have a 540
degrees viewing option in this but but the car has to be above 15 to 20 kmp speed in order to
see the 540° angle. And under the steering we have paddle shifters. So with the help of those two
paddle shifters you can adjust the regenerative braking. So this has three levels of regenerative
braking inside it. So this is all about the cabin experience of this starter Harrier RV. Now let
me demonstrate you parking assist along with the reverse assist. So to get into the parking assist
you have to press this P button. So before that you have to tighten your seat belt and the car
should be in the driving mode. So before that I have to switch this car into driving mode. So
currently this is in driving mode and I have to select where I have to park this electric car.
So before that it’s searching for parking because there is no markings over here. It can’t find
the parking. So I’ll manually fix the parking. So I’ll select this spot. Okay. First I have to
press this P button. Okay. And I have to select the place. Yes, the car can park over here.
So currently I’m on the right line. I want to park on the left line. So I’m pressing this P
button. So it’s giving two options. First one is auto parking. Second one is remote parking.
So if you want to exit from your electric car, if you want the car to park itself automatically,
you can take the key fob and you can exit from the car. If not, you can press this auto parking.
So it will auto park when you’re inside the car. Now I am releasing the brake. So it’s going on
its own. So as you can see car is moving. There is no leg on the accelerator. So currently it’s
going for auto parking. So it will move forward. So it’s moving forward and it applied the brakes
and now it’s going into reverse. As you can see the steering is rotating on its own and the
caring and the car is going into the direction which I selected in this display. Friends, as
you can see it has exactly parked on the left side of the road. Now let me get out and show
you how accurately it has parked. Previously our car has parked there. Now it has parked
on the left side and you can see the accuracy. So this is how accurate it has parked. So this is
how the parking assistance in this Tata Harrier EV works friends. Now let’s test the reverse
assistance feature in this Tata Harrier EV. Before that I need to give it a memory. So I am
in the right line now. Currently now I’m going to the left line. So as you can see I went to the
left line and now I’m turning the steering wheel into the right side. So I stopped here. Now I want
to exit from here. For that I’ll use the reverse assist. So if I press reverse assist, it’s saying
me to release the brake. I release the brake and the reverse assist is engaging now. So the way it
will remember the way which we drove right now and it will go from the same way. As you can see it’s
engaging the reverse mode and it’s remembering how many meters we have traveled. And based on that it
will reverse our electric car. So basically this feature helps when we park our electric car in
any basement or in any tight parking situations. So if we couldn’t able to exit from the parking
this river assistance will definitely works for us. As you can see it will take me to the same
place where I have started from now. So it’s automatically adjusting the steering wheel. Yes,
it brought me to the same position and the parking mode has engaged now. So, this is how the reverse
assist feature in this Tata Harrier EV works. Now, let’s get out of this electric car and let’s
see what are all the technical specifications, how many variants are available and what are the
extra room costs of it. First, let’s start from the battery. The starter Harrier EV comes in two
