Lamborghini Revuelto Review: The 1001hp plug-in hybrid supercar | The Cornea Impression
This is a properly exciting day because I’m about to drive the brand new Lamborghini Revel. Lamborghini’s flagship naturally aspirated V12 Big Daddy Lambo. This is the Kanye impression and my name is Shio Punjabi. Make sure you continue watching so that we can keep bringing you exclusive content such as this. [Music] What a day. I can see a convoy of Rialtos behind me and we are being led by an Urus in the front. Orange Urus with a race car driver from Italy who’s going to teach us how to drive these cars or basically let us experience the true essence of the Revaltos. The Revalto comes with 13 driving modes and a 6.5 L naturally aspirated V12. It is the first ever series production plug-in hybrid from Lamborghini. The car comes with two electric motors in the front and one electric motor at the back. The electric motor is placed between the engine and the gearbox making it an all-wheel drive car. In city, you get 180 horsepower in pure EV mode. So, letting you drive peacefully, quietly in emissionfree zones. In street mode, you get close to 800 horsepower. Basically, the V12 engine with some electric assistance. And then you get sports mode with close to 900 horsepower and then proper proper track mode. That is roughly around 1,5 horsepower. The car does 0 to 100 in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of over 350 kilometers per hour. Those are a lot of numbers for you. In the Aventador, which was the previous big Lamborghini, there was a single clutch gearbox which everyone used to get annoyed with because it was very rough and jerky. Now it’s gone because the Revalto gets a brand new electronic dual clutch transmission, 8-speed, and that is properly smooth, comfortable, and very quick. [Music] [Laughter] [Music] Nice. Since this is a plug-in hybrid, you can charge the car via regen. You can charge the battery via the V12 engine, and you can even charge the car by plugging it into a wall socket. But regen and charging from the V12 is faster than charging from the wall socket. You get 12 km of range with the battery fully charged. It’s a pretty small battery, but that doesn’t mean you can’t utilize it. The biggest advantage of the battery in this car is to reduce any sort of lag. It’s to fill in the gaps because in a naturally aspirated engine, you get power after 3,000 4,000 RPM. That means when you’re driving in city or in lower speeds, it’s a bit difficult to drive. The car is slowish, lethargic. to take that away. The electric assist comes into play, adding power down low and then handing over to the V12 to take it forward all the way. And that I think is a brilliant piece of technology and kit that Lamborghini has implemented into these cars. I I meant to say these cars, but you know, you’re driving, you’re filming, I’m following a chase car. It’s a bit complicated. and also managing speed radars while driving a,000 horsepower Lamborghini. [Music] [Laughter] I can keep doing this all day long, but time to go back to filming for you guys. Steering wheel, all the buttons over here manage everything. Uh, wipers, indicators, and the ADAS systems, all of that on the steering wheel over here with these phone knobs. These phone knobs control everything. The red one is for city, straight, track, and corsa mode, which is pretty much sport mode and everything else right away on this red one. This one manages the EV charging, so hybrid, recharge, all of that by this button over here. This one manages the active arrow and the wing. So, you can adjust it as per what you want. And this one adjust if you press the button it adjusts the lift of the car so you can go over bumps easily. And the other one adjusts the settings. The knob actually adjusts the settings for the suspension. So if you want the suspension harder or softer and anything else. So hey, what is this? Oh, this button at the back. Okay. So there’s buttons at the back of this steering wheel that adjust the screens over here and this screen over here. So, bro, look at that wing. What a car. What a car. The sound of that V12 and just the the way it feels. It feels like a fighter jet. I’m sitting in a fighter jet right now. The entire interior feels like a cockpit. And when I look at the rear of the car in front of me, it’s like the X-wing fighters from Star Wars or Star Trek or any of the space movies. Look at that thing. And look at the wing going up and down and that central exhaust and those tail lights. Oh my god, what a day. Can we please drive and not film,000 horsepower? We sitting in a convoy driving at 70 km/h, man. Let us go. Let us try these things. But honestly uh it is a beautiful piece of kit. It looks fabulous and by whatever I have driven until now it drives phenomenally well. I am overwhelmed by what I am doing right now. So I’m trying to collect all my thoughts and experiences and share them with you. Just look at that thing. It looks like a jet fighter. I Wow. [Laughter] [Music] And it breaks well as well. It breaks. Oh. [Music] What a look. Look at that thing. I mean, I would just buy it for the way it looks. Look at that rear. Oh my goodness. I’m buying one in that color. That exact color. I know you guys want to know how the handling feels in this car. Well, I’m going to show you right now. Enter a roundabout. push it and turn in. Wow. The turn in is so sharp and precise. It kind of over steers into a corner. It It’s like the car is trying to suck you in, which is something a Lambo has never done before. And for me, that is a properly superb experience. The turnin is sharp. It’s brilliant. It’s agile and feels so responsive. It cruises comfortably on the highway. And then you have the sound. You know what I mean by the sound? That V12 sound that goes all the way to 9,500 RPM. Woo. Okay, let me slow down a bit so I can talk to you guys. Usually Lambos look phenomenal. They look very aggressive, but they are difficult to manage and drive. This is not that. This is completely different. It’s very easy to drive. It’s comfortable in a straight line. It turns in very sharply, very precisely, just like a jet fighter, and goes crazily in a straight line. Just float it and you’ll keep on pulling, pulling, pulling, pulling till the road runs out. So all of that experience is very very superlative. [Music] You’ve been hearing me rant about the performance and how good the car is, but it actually looks very good as well. Let me show you the exteriors and then the interiors. Just look at it. I mean, just take a look at it. Nothing comes close to a big bad boy Lamborghini in terms of looks. And this is exactly what it is. A big bad boy Lamborghini. Aggressive wedge shape, perfect muscular stance, scissor doors, vents everywhere, active arrow, massive wheels, and a lot of drama. Especially with this particular paint scheme. You can notice it’s got the Y-shaped DRLs over here, headlights over here, gaping vents to make sure there’s air around the car and cooling the car as well, managing the air flow perfectly. The standard Lambo scissor doors. Lot of drama with these. And then vents over here to make sure there’s enough air going into the radiators, into the engine, and just flowing around the car, making sure the car is stable at high speeds. It comes with active arrow and the exposed carbon fiber pack. As you can see, a lot of details going into these cars. You can see the massive rear diffuser over here with the central exhaust system. Looks like after burners on a jet fighter. The rear has more drama than the front. And that is just the most beautiful place to look at. Just look at this thing. It’s like a giant table with an engine in it and exhaust at the back. Let’s go for it. And then you have the exposed naturally aspirated V12 that you can see and smell. Wow, what a thought process. If you want, you can cover it with a plastic cover, but why would you do that? I mean, Lamogi is all about that sense of drama, right? And this is what it is. As dramatic as possible. Now, for the first time ever, the engine is right in the center and is not offset onto the right or the left, which is a very first for Lamborghini. And it also gets for the very first time a carbon fiber reinforced plastic chassis. So a lot of new things coming up for the Revolto. It also comes with the exposed carbon fiber pack. You can get a car without the exposed carbon fiber. Let’s go talk about the interiors. Okay, interiors. Squarish circularish steering wheel. New HMI infotainment system. It gets a floating console over here to keep your stuff down here. It’s rubberized. Lot of storage. And for the very first time, it gets cup holders. A big bad boy Lamborghini gets cup holders exactly like those on the previous gen 911. These are the comfort seats. It has enough headroom, leg room. It’s wider, and it’s got so much more comfortbased driving positions. So, if you want, you can get the sports bucket seats as well, but I would go with the comfort seat because this is if not a hyper super GT sports car, whatever you want to call it, it does everything well. So, take a look at the interiors. I’m off. This is the craziest thing. We just finished our drive with the RATO and we’re back in the hotel and I moved the car to electric mode. Dead quiet. I’m cruising around the property of the hotel in a pure electric mode in a Lamborghini actually aspirated V12. Perfectly quiet. Not disturbing anything or anyone around me. What a car. What a car. The starting price is roughly $400,000 or 2.1 2.2 million dirhams and then obviously how you spec it up with that. This car is absolutely worth it. What a car. Lamborghini has a winner on hand. And looking at this, I’m just wondering how is a Tamirio going to be cuz that’s crazy specs as well and looks fabulous as well. So I mean I would love to see a Tamario and Revoltto headon headon drive and comparison and see how they actually behave in real world terms because for me the Revolt is a winner. Lamborghini, good job. Thank you for watching the Corna impression. Make sure you like, comment, share, subscribe, and do all of that stuff. And if you have the money to buy a Lamborghini RATO, go buy it right now. [Music]
