Aventon Aventure M vs. Our Benchmark Hill Test
This is the hill that I test out all the electric bikes that I review on the channel. And currently in seventh gear, let’s go to eighth gear. Now, perhaps unsurprisingly, I’m likely to have to shift down, but we’ll see. Again, you just don’t want to put so much stress on the drivetrain in a high gear going up a massive hill. All right, hills starting now. 17 16 15 14 13 I’m going to shift down. There’s seventh gear. 11. Then I’m going to shift down a little bit more. Sixth gear holding us at 10. Let’s go down one more gear. There’s fifth gear. And remember, your mid drive motor is going to be happiest in basically the lowest gear right now. Cruising at 11. Fifth gear. Not too bad. This is probably a good time to listen to that motor. Much quieter than its hub drive counterparts or most hub drive counterparts. All right. And we made it to the top. [Music]
We put the Aventure M through our toughest hill climb, starting in the wrong gear just to see what would happen. It passed with flying colors, but you really have to hear how quiet that mid-drive motor is under full load!
