2025 Toyota Corolla Cross vs 2025 Honda HR-V Comparison | Toyota
The 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross versus the 2025 Honda HR-V. Let’s discover which of
these compact crossover SUVs stands out the most. At 169 horsepower, the
2025 Toyota Corolla Cross offers more standard
horsepower than the Honda HR-V. Corolla Cross’ available power liftgate and 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat give its drivers more added conveniences. Both Corolla Cross’ gas and hybrid grades have higher EPA-estimated
MPG ratings than HR-V. Now, let’s put Corolla Cross and the Honda HR-V side by side. Corolla Cross offers 7 grades with available all-wheel
drive and hybrid powertrains. For 2025, the Nightshade edition is back with both all-wheel drive
and a hybrid powertrain. On the other hand, the 2025
Honda HR-V’s 3-grade lineup has available all-wheel drive options, but no hybrid powertrain. Both of the 2025 Corolla
Cross’ powertrains make more horsepower than HR-V since the gas grades make 169, while the hybrid grades make
196 net combined horsepower. That’s more than HR-V’s 158 horsepower. And both the gas and hybrid
versions of Corolla Cross win out when it comes to MPG. There’s up to an EPA-estimated
32 miles per gallon combined rating on the gas grades and an EPA-estimated 42 miles per gallon combined rating on the hybrid grades. On the other hand, HR-V has up to an EPA-estimated 28 miles
per gallon rating combined. Finally, Corolla Cross Hybrid comes standard with a
sport-tuned suspension, a feature that the Honda
HR-V does not make available. For 2025, Corolla Cross offers
two distinct body styles: the refined look of its L
grades, and the sporty S grades. There’s even a new exterior
color – Soul Red Crystal. And of course, there’s the
Corolla Cross Nightshade, which is now available in Wind Chill Pearl with a Jet Black Roof
for a striking contrast. This stylish trim includes 18-inch all-black-finish alloy wheels, and blackout details like exterior badges, outside door handles, and roof rails. HR-V’s Sport grade offers
similar black-accented details and orange interior stitching. Corolla Cross’ available power moonroof also stands out since it’s
available in four grades, while HR-V only offers
its version on one grade. And Corolla Cross has available
two-tone exterior colors, while HR-V does not. Finally, there’s an
available power liftgate – a feature that HR-V also leaves out. When it comes to the interior, Corolla Cross blends
style with functionality and throws in elevated
tech for good measure. There’s the available 10-way
power-adjustable driver’s seat, giving Corolla Cross a bit more
seat adjustment refinement. And Corolla Cross Nightshade features two-tone black and red
fabric-trimmed seats with red contrast stitching – a feature that’s missing
on the Honda HR-V. Finally, Corolla Cross has
an available qi-compatible wireless charger on most of its grades, while HR-V only offers this
feature on the EX-L grade. The Toyota Audio Multimedia platform strengthens Corolla Cross’ value. This interface includes standard wireless compatibility for Apple CarPlay, which connects drivers to
the apps on their iPhone, including maps, messages,
podcasts, and music subscriptions. In addition, Wireless
Android Auto compatibility makes it easy to stay
connected to Android devices and access various apps
and services from Google including YouTube Music and Google Maps. HR-V does include Apple CarPlay
and Android Auto Standard, but wireless integration is
only included on the EX-L grade. The 2025 Corolla Cross
also has an available 9-speaker JBL Premium Audio
with subwoofer and amplifier that HR-V doesn’t match with its available eight-speaker system that’s only available on the EX-L grade. Corolla Cross’ standard
3-month SiriusXM trial includes over 165 channels
available in-cabin – and even more on the SiriusXM app – making it easier than ever to
enjoy not just ad-free music, but also sports, comedy, and more. HR-V only includes SiriusXM
trials on the EX-L grade. Finally, Corolla Cross
comes with standard trials to Toyota’s lineup of Connected Services, including Safety Connect, Service Connect, and Wi-Fi Connect. HR-V includes a complimentary basic HondaLink services trials. All Corolla Cross grades come with the Toyota
Safety Sense 3.0 system. This includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams, Full-Speed Range Dynamic
Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. HR-V’s Honda Sensing system has features that are similar to Toyota Safety Sense. Blind Spot Monitor with
Rear Cross-Traffic Alert is available on five Corolla Cross grades, while this feature is only available on HR-V’s Sport and EX-L grades. Finally, Corolla Cross has available Front and Rear Parking
Assist with Automatic Braking on two grades, XLE and Hybrid XSE. While HR-V’s front and
rear parking sensors and low speed brake control
are only on one grade. Corolla Cross’ strong value
is seen in its ToyotaCare, which includes two years or 25,000 miles of scheduled maintenance,
whichever comes first, and two years, unlimited mileage 24-hour roadside assistance. The Honda HR-V comes with various industry standard warranties,
which includes three years or 36,000 miles of roadside assistance, whichever comes first. Corolla Cross’s hybrid grades also have a hybrid system
warranty that covers select components for 8
years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, and a hybrid battery warranty
for 10 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. The 2025 Corolla Cross
checks so many boxes. From its efficient power to its impressive versatility
and intuitive technologies, it stands out as the smart choice, especially against the 2025 Honda HR-V. Discover Corolla Cross
