Engineers spent years refining Murano’s structure and restraint systems with a focus on rear-occupant protection and crash performance.
The updated IIHS frontal crash evaluation — known as the moderate overlap front crash test — simulates a 40% offset collision and now includes a second-row dummy to assess passenger injury risk.
The 2025 Murano earned a “Good” rating in this new test, helping it qualify for IIHS’s TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation.
