In this episode of Because it’s Mercedes-Benz, Becky and Elly find out that building the best cars in the world is not only about a smooth ride and iconic design, but also about appealing to the finer senses – like sound and scents.
On their mission, Becky and Elly first visit the “Aussengeräuscheprüfstand” to learn about Dolby Atmos®. On board of an S-Class they experience firsthand, how immersive sound feels, thanks to the 31 speakers of the optional Burmester® Surround-Soundsystem.
Later they meet up with Scent Designer Sabine Engelhardt, who is responsible for bringing the perfect scent into every Mercedes-Benz car. They talk about the Mercedes-benz AIR BALANCE system, how new scents are developed and how they contribute to that special Mercedes-benz feeling.
