Royal Enfield’s New Electric Motorcycle Brand | Flying Flea C6 2026 by Royal Enfield
Royal Enfield’s new electric motorcycle brand Flying Flea
Royal Enfield has announced its new Flying Flea brand at EICMA in Milan, a subdivision that will manage and seal its electric motorcycles, such as the C6 they showed us earlier.
The electric motorcycle(s) that Royal Enfield is working on have been talked about for a long time, but the Indian brand has already taken action to create a milestone in its 124-year history by taking advantage of EICMA 2024 and presenting the seal under which its electric offerings will be grouped: the Flying Flea. As such, it is a new, independent brand that will function in the same way that other major brands like Harley-Davidson and LiveWire or CFMoto and Zeeho want to group their electric motorcycles.
The name is inspired by the Royal Enfield Flying Flea, a motorcycle that was launched in 1940 and was specially developed for World War II and dropped by parachute. Soon it started to be used by civilians in urban use due to its great lightness.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 prototype, Initially, the Flying Flea C6 with its classic style and the Flying Flea S6 with its scrambler design enter this new brand, but the C6 is expected to be the first model expected to arrive in spring 2026.
Also known as the Flying Flea FF-C6, this proposal will be a proposal that supports the neo-retro aesthetic style, where, as you can see, we clearly see the reinvention of the original Flying Flea’s Girder fork front suspension system in forged aluminum with ‘rubber band’ style beams and articulated fenders. The chassis is made of forged aluminum, is lightweight, durable and has a timeless silhouette. The battery box is made of magnesium with an organic design language for optimum weight savings and cooling. Other details we see in the design of the battery fins or front fins are in a single row, while the rear fins are the same. Both groups rotate and bend in the form of wings at the center. It has a round touch screen that mimics the old instrumentation but has the latest technology such as connectivity.
In its operation, 26 patents registered in recent months come into play, in addition to the specific management software, a central vehicle control unit that integrates all the functions, a VCU that allows up to 200,000 different combinations of riding motorcycles, performing continuous monitoring. It will trigger an alarm if someone touches or moves the motorcycle and can be updated wirelessly.
The riding modes allow you to fine-tune the distribution of the accelerator, the brake or the regenerative braking. In addition to corner-sensitive ABS and cruise control, it has a fast and easy charging system using a household socket, promising more than generous autonomy.
