Traverse Education: Wipers
Your 2024 Traverse RS has windshield wiper functionality that is designed to handle the elements.
To turn on your windshield wipers, simply rotate the outer band on the lever on your steering column. Rotate the band up to set your wipers at different speeds. INT stands for intermittent wipers for when the rain is just drizzling. LO sets the wiper speed at a low setting, when the rain or snow picks up a little. HI sets the wipers at its fastest speed, for when it is raining or snowing hard.
To turn the wipers off, rotate the band back to the OFF position. You can also engage a single wipe of the windshield by tapping the button on the lever or enable the washer function by pressing the button fully.
This vehicle is also equipped with Rainsense. A sensor near the top center of the windshield detects the amount of moisture on the windshield and controls the frequency of the windshield wiper based on the current sensitivity setting. For best performance, keep this area of the windshield clear of debris. When using an automatic car wash, move the rear wiper control to OFF to disable the rear wiper.
