1989 Geo Metro “XFi” Experimental Aero Car

    “XFI” is just a trim level for any Geo Metro. It has a different camshaft for more low end torque at the expense of high end power (40hp vs 43 for a normal Metro) and a taller final drive ratio in the transmission, though I don’t know how much taller off the top of my head. My Geo Metro also started as an XFI, or possibly had the XFI specific components swapped in. The car has such a long story that we aren’t sure anymore.

    Frankly I think the single-seater is way more entertaining but I’d rather own the one I own as it’s more practical. We are in the same ballpark for MPG, but I think I can push mine somewhat further once I get it running again.
