The Kia EV9 is just over five metres long, thats about the same size as an Audi Q7 and just a tad bigger than its combustion engined stable mate the Kia Sorento hybrid seven-seater. Its bold styling means it stands out from conventional-looking SUVs and its value for money makes it stand out against other seven seater options.
All EV9 models get the same battery, which has a range of up to 349 miles if you choose the long range single-motor model, or 313 miles if you go for the higher-performance dual-motor version.
You can quickly top up thanks to the EV9’s maximum charging rate of 210kW, however, there aren’t many super-powerful public chargers that can reach this, but if you do find one, we managed 12-80% recharge in just 24 minutes.
Kia EV9’s cost from £65k which might seem a tad expensive for a Kia, however, the EV9 makes a strong case for itself thanks to its seven seat layout and really well appointed entry level model. Its a compelling option if you want something less in your face as a big german SUV and it looks absolutely amazing. The Kia EV9 is essentially an MPV, but masquerades as a chunky SUV that consumers will actually purchase.
